For a short time back in the 1970s apart of CRAZYS neighborhood use to be w/s 18th street but Echo park and another old varrio in that area wasn’t having it and 18th street just faded away.
Grew up on Glendale and North Alvarado,(but more specifically going up towards North Alvarado and Branden) from the day I was born till I was 19. Always taking the 92, 603, or the 200 either back home or on my way to school. Sad to see how much Echo Park has changed due to the gentrification, but nonetheless those were good times for me.
Echo park was built like a dopeboys paradise,lots of stashes,give me the money as you shake hand,go down the stairs pickup thay empty cheeto bag, you can see people a mile away before cameras where a ting i imagine thatvwas a rough area
Being from the METROPOLITAN HILLS of EAST LA UPPER EAST SIDE I’ve driven through many hoods. I will say this though I’ve cruise through Echo Park and all I saw were massive hit ups of CRAZY’S i was like they put echo park to shame
We need Mi Vida Loca part 2 shout out to all Echo parke Sureños hoods i saludos from the 408 San Jose Bay Area sur 13 hoods keep up the video coming ese 🦈🇲🇽🔵🔥💸

The other varrio was probably Diamond St when they got along.
@Jox2kai it was Temple.
I see old graffiti from the 70's and see MAR13 tagged by the stairs across the park. I wonder what varrio MAR was.
Cys keeps their hood tagged up.
