- In today’s travel vlog, we took many modes of transportation to get from Dubai UAE to Muscat, Oman. The Dubai UAE to Oman Border crossing by bus was a bit scary, so many things we didn’t know before we turned up at the bus station in Dubai. They wouldn’t’ let Graeme cross, watch to find out why!
Looking to head out of UAE for a holiday but on a budget? Head to the land of frankincense, Oman, for as low as AED 90 for a return trip. We went on a road trip to Oman from UAE Dubai. Oman, officially known as the Sultanate of Oman, shares its borders with the UAE, Saudi Arabia & Yemen. This gorgeous mountainous country is filled with natural beauty that is surrounded by stunning untouched beaches and abundance of frankincense.
Some useful information you need to know before crossing the border from UAE to Dubai.
Return bus ticket from Dubai UAE to Oman: 90 AED per person
If you arrived in Dubai by air and you go to visit Oman within 9 days of landing, you get a free visa (double check if this applies to your passport)
You have to pay an UAE exit fee before crossing the Oman border: 35 AED
10 day Oman visa: 50 AED
1 month Oman visa: 200 AED

Yeah its a really safe place and full of different landscapes especially in the South
Happy to see you sound “pleasantly” surprised by safety, hospitality, help from a stranger, nothing to worry about, presence of a McDonald(?) etc. All things we take for granted here. BTW, we also don’t care to close our home doors or remove our car radios or padlock our car’s steering wheels or check our back side to see if someone is about to stab us. Hopefully these things will be common everywhere one day! Enjoy your trip to our region.

We are mostly free visas everywhere except for USA , planned to go to Muscat during my 3 time in uae but never managed to as I was busy exploring all the states,but I've been in Oman anyway lol thru it's dibba border 🤣

I just found out this video before hailing to Dubai for catching up exactly this bus to Sohar this Friday morning. I read that tickets are only available in ticket office or on board. Just wondering if this bus is ever full on Friday morning...
How nice! Hope you have a great trip. We aren't sure how busy it gets. We got the first one and were fine. Perhaps get there as early as you can secure yourself a ticket and seat. Have a good trip.
I used to have a friend in Dubai and she told me that the border crossing between the UAE and Oman has always been problematic for foreigners, as it is notorious for drug smuggling. She always advised against using it. If you wanna travel between the two countries it's best to do it through a tour company, that will handle all the formalities for you.
