nope the original actor for Raito/Right Toq ichigou did return and it's also a big deal by how famous and busy he was. and him coming back is like a dream come true for every toqger fan
when i mean really busy. i mean it, like how Suda Masaki (Philip from kamen rider W) and Satoh Takeru (Ryotaro from kamen rider Den-o) can barely make an appearance in an important kamen rider movie or atleast in a kamen rider movie but in less than a minute (for context Satoh Takeru did comeback for a slight 1 minute in the movie forever heisei generation)
Yeah, if anything, I would’ve just thought, based on the episode preview, that Jun Shison (Right’s actor) was only able to come back to do voice overs for ToQ Ichigou. But the fact that he was actually physically able to come back for even a cameo is very big deal. That is truly the power of imagination 😉
Jun Shison (Toq-ichigo) role in the crossover episode with Boonboomger was originally just a voice role, as he is a very famous actor in Japan and has a busy schedule. However, the actor wanted to appear in the series and the production tried to accommodate his wishes by adjusting Jun's busy schedule The process took about 2.3 hours, from sound recording then to filming the scene of the right post-battle appearance Jun Shison said that Super Sentai is his home and he is very happy to be home. I'm sure the production party (Toei Company) wants to make the project vcinext or ttfc special toqger, he will definitely make time for filming Happy 10th anniversary Ressha Sentai ToQger
Fun Fact: ToQ1 changed in Yellow and Green because those are the colors not included on the Boonboomger line up. Ticket do a Kamen Rider Reference ( Gotchard and Gavv ) The Railroad PSA scene was a reference to the ToQger opening.
Red Toqger was originally voice over only but apparently the actor wanted to make an onscreen appearance and managed to make some time for it. And he later got to meet the new cast I read. I loved watching Toqger so I was honestly so happy to see some of them back and the mecha. I also enjoyed seeing the Kyoryugers come back in King Ohger, last season. Also its nice to see that they still had the Toq Oh robo suit. Because with the Go Onger crossover which I also liked, the robo was CGI only, same for the Kyoryuger mecha in King Ohger. It reminds me of the scene in Zenkaiger when the 4 megazords of the 4 mecha based rangers showed up & with the suits after having not been seen since the Gokaiger/Go Buster crossover. The 4 being the Dino Megazord for red, Wild Force Zord for yellow, Mystic Force zord for pink and Operation Overdrive zord for blue. Always love to see it. The Kakuranger 30th anniversary special I also loved watching this year, a little cameo from Shogun Megazord near the end which looked like a suit I think. There was no zords in the Abaranger 20th anniversary special apart from the individual mecha talking to them I think but I still thought that was a fun watch too.
Asahi has been struggling a lot with the physical space needed to pack in everything for all of these shows, specially the other ones. A lot of them have had either sun or water damage with time, and it really isn't worth the effort to remake some of them just for the sake of cameos. It's kinda sad, but unfortunately a lot of these suits take a lot of space and the materials don't really age well
@@jpcsdutra I remember watching the Kyoryuger episode 33.5 they made because of a video game promotion I think and they still had the Kyoryuzin suit then and that was around 2017 a few years after the original show. Maybe they sent the suit to Korea because of the 12 episode long Kyoryuger Brave series they did that had a repainted version of Kyoryuzin. It was the only zord suit they had. Every other zord they showed was CGI. I remember someone in the comments saying why do the zord fights look like a PS2 game. 🤣
@@thealmightyfalcon1359 Yeah, that's also another factor. A lot of the suits are sold/sent to America for other shoots they need later, so there's even more wear and tear depending on the season. Thankfully they have slowly getting up to date with their CGI

Akira was a 'bad guy' upon who there was constant rain because he was consumed by darkness or should I say, shadow. Toqger accepted him as a friend and with the traveling with them he understood what it means to have friends and the true meaning of life. The joke 'place to die' eventually shifted to 'place to do my job' bcs Akira learned to continue living, thanks to his friends.

It's about time! I've waited 31 episodes for this crossover. The ToQgers are awesome, They are my favorite Super Sentai team by far. The Rock music, the color transfers and the train mechas were fantastic.
the sense of debt that Sakito might feel thanks to the card is such an interesting take, and one i love. i took the whole thing to be a showing that sakito was finally starting to be friendly with the rest of the boonboomgers, and wanting genba to realise what he has and to not throw it away with (especially bc he's been alone with byun di for a long time, so thing other people care for him is so unique to him right now) it all just builds on each other, i love it but also yes to tiremeter my silly little redblue couple

First of all, the fact this episode itself happened is already interesting for the TQG continuity, because of movie events, this is happening 1 year before the last time we have actually seen the TQGs (Since the movie takes place in 2025). It has some implications, but I don't think they thought about it super hard for this cameo. (Different subs call Toq#1 different things, Raito, Right or Light, and I'm used to Light, so I'll do that) Light isn't really "the idiot hero". He's more like overly excited hero that has some child-like joy to him, even when he is old. Granted he isn't brilliant, but there are other Reds, like Takaharu (Ninninger) and Lucky (Kyuranger) that fit "idiot hero" a lot more as a concept. And I don't really agree with Akira's assessment of Light being like Taiya, though I guess from knowing nothing about him and only seeing him use his powers creatively once, that's kinda fair. From all the Sentai I have watched (and I have watched more than 30 of them) the Red that Light is the closest to in terms of personality is Alata (from Goseiger). TQG's cast isn't exactly huge idols, but Toq#1 is kind of a big deal for him to come back, he's arguably the one from the cast that went on to do the most stuff. But the TQG cast has been surprisingly willing to come back to projects. 3 out of the 6 have appeared after the end of their yearly contracts for other Sentai projects now, and I'm pretty sure Toq#4's actor isn't past doing it again either. The little monkey puppet is indeed called Ticket and he's precious. Fun fact: Same voice actor as Usopp from One Piece. A previous season has given a new one their mechs a couple times (outside of crossovers) if I'm not mistaken: - Gokaiger had the Great Powers (Basically GaoLion and MagiDragon, as well as technically Engine Machalcon) - DonMomotaro used ZenkaiJyuran for a bit, though not "directly given" but it wasn't stolen either. Weird thing. - This is now the third time, if my memory isn't failing me, but if you're counting 'borrowed' or 'crossover' then, there are other instances. The "Finding a place to die" thing is actually where Akira and Genba intersect the most, but for different reasons. In Akira's case (and mild spoilers ahead but not too much, since you've seen this episode and most of what I'm saying is explained in the first episode you see him in TQG) he's a reformed monster that has a lot of regrets and is extremely out of place. His sense of purpose is to get to redeem himself as most as he can, even if it costs him his life, and at points he got very self-destructive about it. For him, to "find a place to die" literally means finding a cause to die for, but also being ok with dying for that cause because you hate something about yourself. For Genba, right now, this is twisted and confusing. He has survivors guilt and he thinks he *needs* to unalive himself to take down Disrace if that's what he takes, because that's the reason why he's still alive. Akira is actually giving him words of wisdrom from the place of someone that was in the exact same place albeit for a different reason. Monty has a good point about how Sakito might feel about Genba that I hadn't considered. It is kind of a similar pain, though Sakito didn't have anyone to direct his anger towards. TQG is really dope. Ya'll should really give it a watch (though I will say this of absolutely any season you get interested in). It's more of a slow burn and the action isn't the best best, but there's a reason why it's one of the best regarded plots of the franchise.
Monty I think you and Nicki should do a ranking of all the Sentai ranger suits that were not adapted into full power angers seasons on a future live stream.
The last Super Sentai season I checked out a while ago was Ressha Sentai ToQger, which I really enjoyed (too bad there is no official Power Rangers adaptation but there is a fan-made live adaptation called Power Rangers Rail Riders by ZenithFilms) so this episode made me excited. But it made me disappointed that Akira (the ToQger's 6th Ranger) didn't transform into his orange ToQ #6 form.
The one time that happen is with jetman but the sentai that give them the robot is within the stories not an official super sentai. If you think toqger changing color is cool wait till you see him change to all colors
The 3rd ToQger Movie was set after this episode. Which is kinda of problematic because the members now became adults and lost their imagination. But Right still keeps his.
Love this toqger crossover, it is great and even better than Go Onger crossover. Hope maybe you guys one day checking out Toqger. It is a great season.
Honestly guys .... I miss Right, I miss TOQ1, I miss TOQGER ! The show was really good. Even the show is too childish from the beginning, but TOQGER had really really good story, & their story will make u guys emotional for real. I love TOQGER 🔥🎉
There are so many things 'lacking' in this episode. I wanted to see toq 1gou interact with the team more, Akira to transform bcs he promised to protect toqger in the past and yet when toq 1gou was fighting, he refused to change. I like that they show the real right, toq 3gou, toq 4gou, but I wanted to see toq 2gou and toq 5gou as well. I know those 2 are most unreliable, but they still are toqger. Lastly, I wanted to see that train attack where toqgers grab each other and pretends to be a train and attack the enemies like zenkaiger did with the toqger gear.

I didn't expect to tear up watching this episode, but when "Go For It" started blasting my eyes started watering.
Me last week getting extremely happy seeing that dang monkey puppet again in the preview. It's always the little things.
I strongly recommend watching ToQger! It’s a very strong season, and iirc the tone is quite similar to Boonboomger so you may like ToQger as well!

The "Finding a place to die" thing is actually where Akira and Genba intersect the most, but for different reasons. In Akira's case (and mild spoilers ahead but not too much, since you've seen this episode and most of what I'm saying is explained in the first episode you see him in TQG) he's a reformed monster that has a lot of regrets and is extremely out of place. His sense of purpose is to get to redeem himself as most as he can, even if it costs him his life, and at points he got very self-destructive about it. For him, to "find a place to die" literally means finding a cause to die for, but also being ok with dying for that cause because you hate something about yourself. For Genba, right now, this is twisted and confusing. He has survivors guilt and he thinks he *needs* to unalive himself to take down Disrace if that's what he takes, because that's the reason why he's still alive. Akira is actually giving him words of wisdrom from the place of someone that was in the exact same place albeit for a different reason.
Monty has a good point about how Sakito might feel about Genba that I hadn't considered. It is kind of a similar pain, though Sakito didn't have anyone to direct his anger towards.
TQG is really dope. Ya'll should really give it a watch (though I will say this of absolutely any season you get interested in). It's more of a slow burn and the action isn't the best best, but there's a reason why it's one of the best regarded plots of the franchise.

There was a rumor that BBG will create their own Train Mech after ToQger crossover. Turns out that rumor was HALF TRUE.

The last Super Sentai season I checked out a while ago was Ressha Sentai ToQger, which I really enjoyed (too bad there is no official Power Rangers adaptation but there is a fan-made live adaptation called Power Rangers Rail Riders by ZenithFilms) so this episode made me excited. But it made me disappointed that Akira (the ToQger's 6th Ranger) didn't transform into his orange ToQ #6 form.
I only wish y'all could have watched a fansub that translated the scrolling messages in the back of ToQoh's cockpit.
The one time that happen is with jetman but the sentai that give them the robot is within the stories not an official super sentai. If you think toqger changing color is cool wait till you see him change to all colors

The 3rd ToQger Movie was set after this episode. Which is kinda of problematic because the members now became adults and lost their imagination. But Right still keeps his.
Love this toqger crossover, it is great and even better than Go Onger crossover. Hope maybe you guys one day checking out Toqger. It is a great season.
Honestly guys .... I miss Right, I miss TOQ1, I miss TOQGER ! The show was really good. Even the show is too childish from the beginning, but TOQGER had really really good story, & their story will make u guys emotional for real. I love TOQGER 🔥🎉
Is There Any Hope For A Magiranger 20th Special?
There are so many things 'lacking' in this episode. I wanted to see toq 1gou interact with the team more, Akira to transform bcs he promised to protect toqger in the past and yet when toq 1gou was fighting, he refused to change. I like that they show the real right, toq 3gou, toq 4gou, but I wanted to see toq 2gou and toq 5gou as well. I know those 2 are most unreliable, but they still are toqger. Lastly, I wanted to see that train attack where toqgers grab each other and pretends to be a train and attack the enemies like zenkaiger did with the toqger gear.
@@LoLifeLessons Toq 4 gou actor is famous, it is hard to ask him to come back. Even Jun Shison, Right’s actor had a busy schedule but fortunately the actor is willing to give a brief appereance.

Power rangers by hasbro miss a lot things for this sentai teams... I just hope a miracle would happen that power rangers be active again and adapting this sentai and others
