Holding down the Curling bomb will not only decrease its distance, but also increase its blast radius. It's great when you're on a ledge above your enemies.
A tip for squid beacon users that I love: Place it in the most inconspicuous places ever. Why? Because enemies may ignore or not even notice it and just allow you to sneak up on them. I would know maining dapple dualies. Because your enemies are so focused on the battle in front of them they don't notice the little things like your beacon. It's especially effective near your enemy's base in a spot like a corner or place you wouldn't usually look. I got a double kill from sneaking up on my enemies who didn't even know I was there.
Tip for toxic mist, it can combo with some specials, mainly killer wail. If you activate the special and throw the mist at a bunch of enemies in one location, typically in a fight or damaged, you have a high chance of taking out one or two of them and gaining the upper hand.
I still think that line maker should be remade into a mobility sub, while doubling as a location tool for enemies that pass through it. It can be thrown to give it's user and it's users teammates an ink line, like from splat 1. Additionally, you can hold it to increase it's range. At base it would be a little less than a squiffer, and when held, it could be somewhere in-between splaterscope and e-liter.
If you mean make the line marker swimmable, the main issue I see with that is getting into crazy out-of-bounds areas that are impossible for the enemy to reach you and take you down like with the Spider-Squid special. Only worse because there wouldn't be anything to recall you back
@@dumpy8312 This is true. Invisible barriers can fix most out of bounds issues I feel like. The recall back issue can be alleviated by only giving it to things, at maximum, splatershot pro range. The purpose is to make it a flanking sub. On medium and short range weapons that allow them to take unconventional paths towards backlines, and if you change it again so it doesn't bounce off walls, then you are forced to reveal yourself right be for you throw the sub, which gives who you're throwing it at extra time to react. And perhaps lastly, only the user can ride the line, so chargers can't get to great spots.
Generally, line marker could be used as a back line poking tool, say a Jet v an E-litre. E-litre outranges most subs weapon expect line marker. If your team is in the middle of a fight and there's a strong backliner that's supressing them, you could throw a few markers out to not only force them to relocate but also reveal their location. It's difficult getting the snipes with marker but once you get good at hitting the directs then it becomes a menace to the enemy team, kinda like brush in a way.
if the enemy team has a scope weapon and you have autobomb throw them behind those weapons frequently. Also remember to use suction bombs against splash walls for many easy splats on unsuspecting 52's and squeezers
Curling bomb tip: Partial cooking. Or just practice cooking a lot in the lobby. Cook off of ledges. Throw bomb onto short ledges. Become the "let him cook" meme. Also curling bomb is super expensive for some reason, so be mindful of that. LDE is kinda crucial for it if you wanna get anywhere close to spammy, but that's the case for everything tbh.
4th tip for torpedo (bcz i also like it): Torpedo has a jingle when it detects someone so if you're pushing for the basket in clam blitz, throw the torpedo so your braindead team doesnt get completely obliterated by the enemy team in a timespan of 2 seconds.
I’m a big fan of sprinkler and one of the best things to do is put high up behind a wall so that it controls the corridor behind it. Chokes the area, deals chip damage, and is more difficult to destroy making it distract enemies longer
one tip for curling bomb use, Charge it a little bit and throw it to choke points on the map; you will get a bigger explosion radious than without charged and you may get splats like that. Also, you can charge it for like a fraction of a second and then throw it forwards towards a flank of where you are moving towards to, so it gets you some kind of protection. Probably my tips doesn't apply to a pro level, but for casual play, it is just a really fun sub weapon.
Another tip for angle shooter, if u look straight down at the ground and throw it, it woun't bounce all the way up in the sky, it shoots it almost parallel to the ground, so its super easy to hit people far from u if theyre on flat ground. so u dont always necessarily have to aim it like a charger, unless theyre on a grate or a ledge or a ramp, bcs if it hits the ground in front of them it will bounce parallel to the ground and likely hit them, so its much easier to hit players if u only have to aim left and right and not up and down.
At 4:30 to 4:33 about toxic mist, that's all you gotta say on that... it feels weirdly place for tri-slosher since it's more of a rush / slayer weapon and not a defender type that holds down the line.
For curling not treating it like bomb can be bad when used right, what I mean by this is weapons that struggle at keeping multiple enemies away, mainly sploosh, can use curling bomb as a wall of sort, not for protecting but by for walling out the opponent’s movment, often times a well placed curling can surprise a player, please please please do not be afraid to throw a charged curling if need be. Also, remember, try charging a curling in a safe spot, or away from enemy range
it has changed, so it's more useful on more weapons, though still sucky sadly.. it's literally my favorite sub weapon though. luckily, I'm low rank so it doesn't matter anyways LOL, I still wreck people with it just cause I'm having fun, and that's really how you play at your best when you're low rank.
I had a hilarious clip with the sprinkler tip. I was super jumping in as a Dynamo and saw a splattershot camping my market with no other players around. (My teammate died) As I land i drop a sprinkler at my feet then flick, and the sprinkler tanks enough damage that I get the kill and survive.
You can also tank the bombs with squid roll. If you think you won't make it out of the bomb's range, just squid roll backwards towards the bomb, instead.
I am not that good at the game but I would say as a tip for sprinkler is to not just trow it on the ground I personally only use it on walls an celling as that is more difficult to take out and can give you or you're teammates time to get git of a enemy player who is focus on the sprinkler
Generally as a heavy sprinkle user, One of the last places I put the sprinkler is on the ground. the game for me has become all about finding the most creative and disruptive places to stick em. do recon and try sticking them to things just to see what they can stick to. one of my favorites is onto the light up part of the lamp post on that bridgy stage. it'll make it into a shower. f they aim up to try to shoot it they are not looking at anything else really.
Ah torpedo, or as I like to call it, the "annoy the heck out of the charger/long-range weapon" sub. Seriously, I started playing CJr and I spent most of a match just yeeting torpedoes at the charger. Burst bombs work well too in a pinch. And I also try and take down any torpedo lobbed at my team, even if it's not specifically at me 😁
one time i threw a splat bomb at someone to try and kill them, but i accidentally caused a wipeout because two of their team mates super jumped to them as soon as it blew up
I feel like tips for Squid Beakons vary greatly depending on whether you're using Dapples or Tenta Brella, since they both want to use them in different ways; the tips you've presented are good for Dapples because of their high mobility, but I think Tenta Brella serves a better purpose as an anchor, staying alive and keeping your beakons alive and behind cover so that your teammates can get back into the action much more quickly. This of course assumes you're running sub power up, which for beakons, essentially act as quick super jump for anyone who jumps to them, including yourself.
I would've thought at least CHARA would know how to skip line marker. NO, you do NOT want to throw line marker parallel to the ground in most circumstaces. You want to skip it on the ground most of the time so you have a better chance of hitting your shots. The splatoon devs specifically made the deflection angle when hitting the ground shallower so that you don't have to worry about your vertical aim when trying to combo your line marker shots. You can literally aim at your feet and still hit your opponent if you are horizontally aligned and this works at line markers maximum range. Also like burst bomb, it's really good at helping your teammates from a distance. I've seen so many pro players suggest throwing it straight even though skipping it is much, MUCH more effective.
For curling bomb, i think it is a bit better when you've learn how to time it and aim with it by holding it a few time, i personnaly get some kills with it outside superjump situation
My favorite way to deal with being marked is to shove myself in a spot that gives me good survivability, whilst also being somewhere the enemy would want to go after me. Bonus points if the spot is weak for most weapons but strong for the specific weapon I'm playing. Line marker would probably be an nice charger/splatling counter-play option if it two shoted but then... is that too much power? (no; also make direct hits give more time for marking)
I'm surprised Chara didn't mention the fact that you can throw Sprinklers.... *Everywhere.* You can throw them on the walls, on the poles, upside down under the grate bridges, even the inflatables at times [like the one in the middle of the Mako Mart splat zone]. Get creative, test how far you can toss your sprinkler to get the best out of it without worrying about it immediately getting popped out of existence. Most weapons won't be able to reach it if it's higher up anyway. Another tip for this thing is to _not_ let it just sit in one spot for too long. You'll want to move this thing around a good amount, as it can put a good amount of paint between you and your enemy and distract or confuse them for a few seconds if it's smartly placed. [this last part doesn't always work but it's still worth mentioning that it can and has happened for me more often than not. survivability+1.] Happy sprinkling everybody. /)
inkmine can also be destroy, so always be mindful of those position that the enemy might place their mine. Paint those area or just use bomb to destroy them.
For wall, you have to learn how to bounce it of walls and corners. This allows you to escape from stupid situations when someone's rushing you down because it decreases the travel distance of the wall before touching the ground. This allows for some stupid and annoying plays where you're stuck on a corner and you bounce you're wall of the corner to be fully protected form any side which allows you to be very annoying, charge your special fast and basically be an invincible nuisance. People that were there in S1 would remember that in port mackerel splat zones... (gosh I hated 52 gals and cherrys in this map). Against wall, keep in mind that throwing a wall requires a lot of ink and the wall isn't active for a while when the opponent presses the "wall" button. Furthermore, the wall travels a long distance so surprising a wall user will make it impossible for him to use his wall effectively, if he isn't in a corner, in which case he could get away with it by flicking hard fast. Keep in mind too that bombs explode instantly when touching the wall so if the opponent isn't behind his wall, you can bomb him. This happens a lot when the opponent realizes that he doesn't have enough range and so he starts walking forward, without realizing that he's on the wrong side of the wall.
I personally would go for stealth jump because it already shreds through hp specials and I don’t want someone to plant a bomb on my super jump but that extra dmg is kinda nice for stamper so it doesn’t really matter that much.
Tip against Beakons: Don't bother destroying them. You're just wasting your ink on something that the enemy team will never use. Tip for Beakons: Don't bother using them. @@DSmith3279 yeah but is only 5 seconds and the punishment for stay there isn't good like point sensor, also with the movement mechanics they need to rework the thing because it's doesn't work
Holding down the Curling bomb will not only decrease its distance, but also increase its blast radius. It's great when you're on a ledge above your enemies.
Great video chara I actually didn't know if your near to a beakon it will show your location to the person who placed it that will help a lot
A tip for squid beacon users that I love:
Place it in the most inconspicuous places ever.
"the damage it does isn't that bad"
35 damage angle shooter is real and it can hurt you
“I like torpedo so I’ll give 3 tips for this one” yeah here’s some k-rapid main bias right here lol. Keep up the great work Chara!
I find it hilarious that the tip for mist is to not use it that often.
4th tip for torpedo (bcz i also like it):
Torpedo has a jingle when it detects someone so if you're pushing for the basket in clam blitz, throw the torpedo so your braindead team doesnt get completely obliterated by the enemy team in a timespan of 2 seconds.
I’m a big fan of sprinkler and one of the best things to do is put high up behind a wall so that it controls the corridor behind it. Chokes the area, deals chip damage, and is more difficult to destroy making it distract enemies longer
Content like this, and tier lists are so amazing. Your list content is incredible!
one tip for curling bomb use, Charge it a little bit and throw it to choke points on the map; you will get a bigger explosion radious than without charged and you may get splats like that.
Also, you can charge it for like a fraction of a second and then throw it forwards towards a flank of where you are moving towards to, so it gets you some kind of protection.
Probably my tips doesn't apply to a pro level, but for casual play, it is just a really fun sub weapon.
Really good video!
Good luck in today’s tournament Chara!
also remember that fizzy bomb will get stuck behind walls and ledges, it's something I've seen people struggle with on undertow
I hope they bring back burst bomb bamboozler but also angle shooter would work pretty well with it. Ink wall bamboozler is still my favorite though
Another sprinkler tip: if you smack it on the tower's, well, tower, it'll paint the platform immediately.
I have found throwing mist at walls is a good way to shut it down, sincd the person behind is likely already low on ink from tossing it
Another tip for angle shooter, if u look straight down at the ground and throw it, it woun't bounce all the way up in the sky, it shoots it almost parallel to the ground, so its super easy to hit people far from u if theyre on flat ground. so u dont always necessarily have to aim it like a charger, unless theyre on a grate or a ledge or a ramp, bcs if it hits the ground in front of them it will bounce parallel to the ground and likely hit them, so its much easier to hit players if u only have to aim left and right and not up and down.
Against crab ... Oh wait
Crab isnt a sub 💀
The days we thought crab was a turrent sub
The background super Mario galaxy 2 music😍
A year late but dart is good it does 40 instead of 35 damage has a burst bomb-like ink radius and on big swig express? It’s good
it has changed, so it's more useful on more weapons, though still sucky sadly.. it's literally my favorite sub weapon though. luckily, I'm low rank so it doesn't matter anyways LOL, I still wreck people with it just cause I'm having fun, and that's really how you play at your best when you're low rank.
@@MG-mh8xp yeah there are many more weapons dart can do so well on but it’s on none of them
@@blackwidowpowersports6037 I KNOWWW ughhhh. I hope we get third kits just so that the amount of weapon and sub and special variety gets buffed.
YES like for example Dart would be so good on Stamper, Decav, Tri-stinger, Ree-Flux, Tetra, Douser, H-3, & Rapid
tip against every lethal bomb:
Always have the mindset that "The explosion is always bigger than you think it is" to stay safe
I had a hilarious clip with the sprinkler tip.
I was super jumping in as a Dynamo and saw a splattershot camping my market with no other players around. (My teammate died)
As I land i drop a sprinkler at my feet then flick, and the sprinkler tanks enough damage that I get the kill and survive.
Tip for Line Marker: Call it the Angler. No, it doesn't make the weapon better or anything, but that's what it should've been called, dammit!
You can also tank the bombs with squid roll. If you think you won't make it out of the bomb's range, just squid roll backwards towards the bomb, instead.
Love your tips!
Keep em coming🙂👍🏻
Have a tip for the sprinkler put it up high, it drives people crazy when they can't find it😅
I am not that good at the game but I would say as a tip for sprinkler is to not just trow it on the ground I personally only use it on walls an celling as that is more difficult to take out and can give you or you're teammates time to get git of a enemy player who is focus on the sprinkler
And I also try and take down any torpedo lobbed at my team, even if it's not specifically at me 😁
one time i threw a splat bomb at someone to try and kill them, but i accidentally caused a wipeout because two of their team mates super jumped to them as soon as it blew up
6:58 lmao the slow turn
I feel like tips for Squid Beakons vary greatly depending on whether you're using Dapples or Tenta Brella, since they both want to use them in different ways; the tips you've presented are good for Dapples because of their high mobility, but I think Tenta Brella serves a better purpose as an anchor, staying alive and keeping your beakons alive and behind cover so that your teammates can get back into the action much more quickly. This of course assumes you're running sub power up, which for beakons, essentially act as quick super jump for anyone who jumps to them, including yourself.
Beacons can locate enemies?!
I have a tip for line marker:
It can come out like the first frame of super jump, very useful for marking camping enemies
“my advice for toxic mist is to not use toxic mist”
yup sounds about right
I once got the final hit of a booyah cancel with angle shooter. Never getting that clip again but it sure was funny.
YOU CAN SHOOT DOWN TORPEDOS?
Love the use of Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack!
Next: one tip on Every map (maybe in every mode/ with every role)
Poor angle shooter. Such a good idea on paper. I guess it was pretty for Slosher deco tho with it being more close and less likely to miss.
Tip for fighting splash wall: This is well known, but bombs that hit a splash wall will explode immediately
Tip for Sprinkler! Don't :D
Awesome series !
*gives torpedo three tips, gets to mist*"....just dont use it." lmaoo
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO
I didnt know you could stop torpedos until this video.
Favorite activity with me and my friend is just bullying chargers by throwing a ton of angle shooters at them
For curling bomb, i think it is a bit better when you've learn how to time it and aim with it by holding it a few time, i personnaly get some kills with it outside superjump situation
[this last part doesn't always work but it's still worth mentioning that it can and has happened for me more often than not. survivability+1.]
Happy sprinkling everybody. /)
"my advice for toxic mist is to not use it" is just hilarious
You really just told everyone to throw more torpedoes at us backline players smh
A good way to counter line marker is to let your opponent use it as they lose ink and it does barely anything because it’s still pretty bad
Against line marker, try to start a squid party so the user doesn’t feel so bad about their weapon having a 2/3 full kit.
inkmine can also be destroy, so always be mindful of those position that the enemy might place their mine. Paint those area or just use bomb to destroy them.
Also if you're playing aggressive with ink mines, try to put one down whenever you think you might get shot.
An actual tip for mist is throw in key choke points especially in rainmaker
Hey Chara, I’m making a build for a Stamper and I’m deciding whether to put Onject Shredder or Stealth Jump. Which one do you think is better?😅
I’m not chara, but I recommend make two builds, one with object shredder and one with stealth jump
You're just wasting your ink on something your team will never use.
P.S. I STACK SUB POWER UP JUST FOR YOU. PLEASE USE MY BEAKONS!

"shot down torpedoes for your team mates"
look, if one of my team mates is using a charger, they clearly want a single player game, i let them suffer.
Tip for sprinkler: it's great at baiting out enemies.
2:52
One winged angel starts playing.
for solo queue use you team mates becons i swear no one ever looks for them, besides use if they have sub up that gives you super jump up
Some of yall need to realize that line marker actually helps with aim tracking on pro and jet
3:53 Ah shit here we go again
dang squidkids kickin it old school
I have splatted players by throwing the suction bomb behind them and it doesn't work all the time but it is really funny when it does work
i main splat roller with the sub weapon being curling bomb, i use it mostly for mobility but once in awhile i get unexpected kills that even surprise me lol
I enjoyed our match in the tournament... Extremely tough match but I loved it.
I'd like to ask, could I have some critiques about how I played Splatana Stamper, I feel I did pretty well during our scorch gorge match but not as much on wahoo, especially considering my kills... I'm aiming to improve for the future and would love some tips.
"my tip for toxic mist: DONT USE IT its a waste of ink"
this really shows how bad toxic mist is ☠
The tip of 'throw torpedo at charger players'.. as an eliter main who has to deal with torpedo after torpedo to the face from splatanas pls don't do that in casual play😭 you can throw one to deter a charger from getting you but do not stand in the same spot and throw 100 hoping one will actually land
I remember I once played tower control and and I squid surged the threw a splat bomb
AND I GOT A TRIPLE
