- The Shure GLXD16 is a precision-engineered wireless system for guitarists and bassists with a digital pedal board receiver that combines automatic frequency management with true digital diversity for a rock-solid wireless signal and exceptional digital audio clarity.
That's what I call a proper review. Must be one if not the best I have ever seen. The sound engineer knows his stuff and convinced me to purchase this guitar wireless system. Just so impressive!
Thank you. We keep Steve locked away and have to unleash his knowledge upon on the world little by little for the sake of keeping balance in the universe.
I've been using this system for a few years now and I can say it has never failed me. The charge lasts a long time. I don't even go through half a charge on the transmitter at a normal 4 hour gig. The quality is clear with very little if any interference. The casing on the transmitter and receiver is heavy duty metal. Overall, I am very pleased with this system. I use it mainly for live shows playing bass!!
so this works perfect with bass?
@@tony956mtz4 Excellent for bass!! You'll get better tone than when using cables. :)
This is what i've been looking for. Was looking at getting this for my bass, and I run around like an idiot, so the range and clarity seem excellent.
@@thebassmonkey1725 I've been using this Shure wireless system for my bass for a few years now and it's great! Never had any interference and the charge holds forever! Used it a few nights ago outside by the Jersey shore at a gig and not one issue! Takes minutes to plug in and when you turn it on it finds the best frequency channel in the area you are at automatically! It has a built in bright digital tuner so I don't even use my Boss tuner anymore! It doesn't take too long to charge up and even after playing a 4 hour gig it still have more than half charge left! You'd have to play a 8-10 hour gig to loss the charge.
The receiver is made of heavy sturdy metal and the transmitter is equally well made! The only thing that would have improved this would be a better thicker short cable and plug that goes from your guitar to the transmitter, but I have had no problem with the plug or cable as of yet. Don't yank it! LOL Good luck!
@@phillyman5000 what a response, cheers bud very much appreciated, consider it bought!
Cheers!
Great video boys. I just bought the GLX D16 for my bass and I'm heading to Amazon for a pair of those sweet capri pants.
I bought this when it first came out and it’s a game changer. It’s a great wireless and tuner all in one… the only complaint l …have is with the rubber doors on the transmitter and the fact that they don’t have a 90° angle jack option available. also, the clip is a little wonky… keep on rockin
Yet, no one addresses the most oblivious question. Do you just do a gig with the transmitter sitting on your lap? how does it attach to the strap? Do you stick it in your pocket? These guys clearly never showed that.
There is a metal clip on the back of the transmitter so you can attach it to your guitar shoulder strap.
Or buy a pocket like holder to put it in that also goes on your shoulder strap.
Oh, and the built in tuner is bright and very accurate!!
I have a Line 6 G50 and I wish it had an internal rechargeable battery. I’ve resorted to rechargeable AA’s, which works, but just a little jealous of this feature.
That's what I have
i love the tchuna
So a 20 minute charge will give you two hours of play, and a full charge will give roughly 16 hours? How long does it usually take to give it a full charge?
I’ve had this system for about a year. I found that about an hour can give you a full charge
Yes, about an hour or so for a fully recharge. Maybe alittle longer when it's new or has a low charge. But amazingly the charge lasts forever at any gig!! Really a great system from Shure!!
i just bought the glxd 4, can i use the power supply from my boss BCB60 pedal board on it? thanks..great video, youve covered many things that we have to know and not just the basic use of this device..
Ugh, just needs a direct through incase you didnt want to go wireless for home jammin or rehearsal.
What’s the range distance on this wireless system? How far can you go without it getting cut off?
so if you have active pickups, would you set the gain lower then?
So our singer has this
reciever to use with wireless 58. So if I just buythe pack can we share that one receiver
Can you use multiple wireless system at the same time with out losing any sound or connection ??? Or would wneed a signal distribution system?
Strat number 1 sounds great. Watt is it guys
Would be a little Better if you could daisy chain power off of it . guess you would need to add a power lab . more stuff.
dude said *cough*kemper lmaoo
works with active pick-ups?
I know you asked this a year ago. I found an article that confirms that it does
