It really helps with my anxiety, depression and feeling alone to hear success stories. Helps me start visualizing the other side of my struggle, overcoming it, even though I am right in the middle of my struggle, there have been others who already have been struggling and have overcome it!
Its calming me a lot. Thank you for sharing these stories.

Can completely relate to the first story, why aren't we told about these things as women. Period. Why is it only after something has happened that we then hear the words prolapse? I've been feeling a lot of heaviness the past week. I believe I'm getting my first menstruated cycle postpartum, so discouraging as I am only 10 weeks and am exclusively breastfeeding. 😓

I’m a stage three prolapse. I don’t want to have the surgery nor do I have that type of time because I’m a caregiver to both of my parents. I was working on my weight and doing weight training. I’m praying that this will help me in my journey of doing this naturally. Surgery will be a last option for me. Thank you for the information!!!

Thank you for posting this!! I'm 53, with 6 children all naturally birthed, diagnosed with prolapse after Baby #2. I didn't really begin exercising until my early 40's, but am continually plagued with injuries. But when the prolapse became undeniable last year, it stopped all exercise and launched Depression. Your channel and videos have helped me to continue exercising safely. Your encouragement, your reassurance that I Will Shine brighter at the end of every video, have changed my self-talk and I do see that I am improving and having less symptoms, less often. This was what I needed to hear today - these symptoms WILL come and go, and I am succeeding, thanks to you, Dr. Bri!!!

Love your positivity Bri! My story is so much similar to the 1st lady. I remember the feelings of hopelessness and maybe anger even. I remember feeling..."I'm too young to be going through what I think is an old woman's problem". Never knew that women who go pregnancy and childbirth could end up with this! Thank you for the wonderful work you are doing!
I'm doing the lift series...and I have a doubt. I was doing just regular kegels before i started the series. I have temporarily paused that in order to just go by your program. Should I go ahead with extra kegels during the day along with the lift series or just stick to the program for now?
Also, once I am done with the lift series...then what? Do you have any "maintenence" pelvic floor workout that I could do it every day for the rest of my life? Or just random kegels during the day?

Hey Leena! Your best bet is (of course!) to see a women's health PT for personalized recommendations specific to your needs. But I encourage you to stick to the Lift program and see how things go for you! There are recommendations for how to continue in the Week 5 video and email. Good luck!

Hello, I have discovered your channel last week. I have a uterine prolapse that was made by lifting heavy weight (40kg doing squats and lounges) with a personal coach. I didn't get that because of a daily painful diarrhea cause by gallbladder removal. Then appeared incredibly painful orgasm (like birth contractions). I thought it was endometriosis progressing but I was wrong. I had a surgery in December 2017 to remove the endometriosis nodules that were suspected to be causing this excruciating pain. It caused me more problems as bladder nerves were shaved by the surgeon. I have now no sensation on the anterior part of the vagina, as well as loss of posterior bladder muscles movements, leaving me with chronic urinary retention (not informed before surgery!). I had 6 month of intermittent catheter by myself to empty the bladder. The urologist told me to go off catheters and push to expell the remainder of urine in the bladder. Now I start to feel the cystocele. All doctors say it's fine but it is not. I also have rectocele from the moment my uterus went into prolapse (3 years ago). So now I have no sex at all cause the surgery eliminated the last pleasure in the anterior face of the vagina, leaving me with only pain. Orgasm is pain, penetration was already strange with the part of the uterus making clap sound during intercourse, now even G point has vanished to surgery. I have a hard time doing the physiotherapist's exercises. I feel guilty because I have several trauma from childhood + bad sports coach, so I have trouble training my pelvis. I like the way you make the video for 1st week. I hope I can stay consistent and obtain results. Maybe one day I'll be able to have sex again with my SO. I'm 33 no child but overweight (BMI 34.3) bc of family traumas and depression. SO has always been fit and has hard time understanding.

    Hi Doc. Bri,
what is your opinion about weights inside while exercising (yoni stones or kegel balls)?
If there are some exercises while sitting long time ( transatlantic flight)?
    Thanks.

Hello Dr. Bri. Is using a warm cloth or bag in pelvic floor good to remove tension and to drop pelvic floor , same time doing your pc relaxation techniques everyday ?/ please let me know , cuz i saw in google that using warm cloth is good idea. Is it true?

Warmth is a great way to relax/release muscle tension -- I think it would be a great addition to my videos! And yes, you can use the videos every day as long as you are noticing an improvement in symptoms.

S.O.S :) Hello Dr. Bri. I was wondering what type of doctor do you recommend we should start with for these issues. I have major constipation, bleeding coming from both my anus and vagina and I have a fitsula now. I have to wait until the first of next month for my insurance to kick in and there aren't many Pelvic Floor Specialists in Colorado. Would you recommend a Urogynecologist first??
I have been binge watching your videos. Thank you so much for being here for us. This is a horrible thing for people to go through!

    • @vibrantpelvichealth
      @vibrantpelvichealth  6 лет назад

Amari, I'm so glad you've chosen my channel to binge watch! ;) Lots of good info on here, particularly my "ask the experts" playlist with all of the great interviews from leaders in the women's health field. Per your question, a women's health physical therapist would be my top choice for you to see in-person. A urogynecologist would also be a great option, as long as they embrace a conservative approach that focuses on trialing manual therapy, exercise, and lifestyle interventions first before recommending surgery and/or meds. Have you seen my "constipation/elimination" playlist? Please search for it in the playlists section of my channel!

One more thing that you might be interested in -- one study of topical clove oil cream found that it was effective at healing anal fissures in 60% of patients after six weeks, compared to standard nonsurgical treatment which healed only 12% of patients.
