Hello mate. Great job. may I ask you a question please. After you finished everything including painting then closing the two halves of the gearbox, was it easy to put the transaxle cover back on, bearing in mind you have limited time to intsall the cover because of the RTV, my concerrn is how all these bearings and rods align exactly in theor resting spots while you are colsing the two halves? Your input and expereince will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
It just falls in place with no issues. You will have to press open the C clips on top so the shaft sits all the way. I would say thats the last 1/4” before is fully seated.

Hi mate , I've got a lot of play on my gearbox , where the LH cv shaft goes into the gearbox/diff , what part is likely to be causing all the sloppiness ??. Is there some tind of bearing in the diff that would cause 2mm of travel??.
Good job mate, I want to do my nazdaspeed3 gearbox but really scared, maybe your video will help me but may I ask you please, I have a little whining on 6 gear at about 100 km/h but only if I let go of the gas pedal, if I press the gas pedal even slightly the whining disappears, what bearing inside the gearbox you reckon is causing that? Cheers
Thank man. This transmissions dont have many bearings. Just 1 on each end of the stack. Is hard to say exactly whats wrong with yours. Specially since im not a transmission expert by any means. You would have to take it apart to see where the damage is.
@@WZ_TV Thanks for the reply mate, started the project two weeks ago and just managed to get the gearbox opened today, so heavy man, I am doing the job with weak health and jwith just the help of my 18 years son who has absolutely no experience, I am teaching him, I am taking my time doing the project as I have no time limit, I am changing all 3 shafts rear and front berarings, as well the input shaft oil seal and the whole diff with Quaife LSD ATB diffrential, new diff bearings and oil seals as well. but I am worried about the ring gear on the diff as I have to remove it from the old diff and install it on the new diff, are those 16 bols holding it tight? and what size in mm as I have not removed the shafts and diff yet to find out, just opned it and horrifically scared, how you managed to tight those 16 bolts to about 100 NM while the diff is loose, should I use a press to hold the diff? Should I use blue lock tight with those 16 bolts? Thanks a alot and sorry for the hassle. Cheers

Hello mate. Great work, thanks for all your videos. I have a question please, my Mazda 3 MPS whines a lot on 6th gear when you release the gas pedal at 100 km/h, that whining disappears when you accelerate but if you release the gas pedal the whining comes again. I am thinking it is a bearing, but which bearing? Cheers
Hey thanks. Im no expert on transmissions to be honest but you are right whinning noise is usually a bearing. I would say since the gear itself doesnt have a bearing it should be the closest to gear 6. But it can also be the way 6th gear engages with the main shaft. Like when diffs make whining noises its the engangement between the gears that is worn out and makes the noise. You would have to open it to get a better look at whats going on.

Mad respect bro, you're a true speed master. I had a ton of questions about this trans and you just answered them all... Bravo 👏🤘

I need to do this with mine. My transmission took itself out of 6th and locked in forth. Now I have a reason to do this. Thanks for the info man

Always enjoy watching your progress in this super project 👍😁 and skill...

Yes the diff has a bearing on both side. Maybe one is worn out and is letting it move.
Which gear stacks hold which gears?
Eres un caballo Arielito!
What RTV did you use when mating the case halfs together?
Where did you get the longer gears. I’m looking for some longer gears for the gen 2. Like euro gears.
Speed performance. I think they discontinue them

Any part you need for the tranny needs to go through mazda dealer. Havent found any online store with parts.
Hey brother! What adhesives did you use for the pads? Also what sealant did you use to seal up the trans again?
Pads are pressed in. For the case gasket maker.

great contact bro! can you help me identify 1&2, 3&4, 5&6 shift forks?
Thanks man. 1st and 2nd are the biggest gears. That should let you know.
Thanks man and las question what adhesive did you use to apply the pads and did you use any thing to seal up the transmission?
How did you get the snap rings off of the shafts and how did you get them to drop down so you could separate the gear Box from the bell housing
I think i explain that in the video. The gear box has 2 C clips holding the gear stacks. Just have to expand them and they will drop from the case.
