    Glad you've reviewed this bag as they deserve more recognition than they've had so far. We were the first to buy the Wingman in the UK (cost us a fortune as Brexit means that import costs are now absurd), but it proved to be far better than any of the Beal & Petzl bucket-type bags that we've got. What I mean is this: you can clearly see the contents due to the yellow material, you can split it up with pockets/dividers into whatever layout suits the task, the internal magnetic perimeter strip allows you to keep tools off to a particular side to prevent clutter etc... Have to be careful as the magnetic strips are still magnetised on the outside of the bag & these can collect swarf, screws, bolts etc... which can become a serious dropped-object concern, but once you're aware of this it's easy to manage. We got extra seat-brackets so a few of us could use the bag without having to mess about, and as it's attached to your seat & not your harness you barely feel the weight. We've used this for steelwork/bolting, NDT, painting, mastic & slate roof repair jobs for half a year & it's not showing much wear. I believe that Lance may have changed the design slightly to incorporate a zip in the big bag (will have to check), and maybe a few other tweaks, and I think that they now have a sales rep in the UK so you won't get screwed by import duty. Same as Alex, we have no financial links but I like to give recognition to kit that makes our lives easier & safer (few more on here: www.unlimitedaccess.co.uk/kit-reviews.html). Keep up the good work, fella, and I'm looking forward to seeing the Harken chest ascender in action 👍

      Thanks Joel! great to have your review and input here too. You were right with a comment you made last year in your review: " I am confident that over the next few years most sectors of the working-at-height industry will be using these".. A major bag manufacturer is copying the Wingman concept and producing their own version of seat/bag combo soon... Looks like I've done the hard work proving the concept - and the big dogs are gonna jump onboard for the ride!

      @@wingmantools That sucks & I'd like to think that with at least a percentage of the rope-monkey industry will stick with you & boycott the copycats. If any UK retailers read these things it might be worth reaching out to Wingman as I believe he might still be looking for a distributor over here? Would be great to see the small business-owner triumph over the big boys for once...

      Thanks for your input and I couldn’t agree more. Such a great tool to keep things organized . Great point about the magnets actually potentially creating a potential dropped object situation . Something to monitor

      @@TheRopeAccessChannel This is a legitimate concern, and also -you might find using the bag annoying if working in industrial environments surrounded by steel structure, as the bag will keep sticking to things! We have solved this now with our new bag models, by reducing the quantity of magnetic walls. Now the bag is supplied with only 1 x mag wall. We find this enough to provide that great capture and tool organising, but not so much that unintended mag-grabs keep happening. (4 x Mag walls can be installed as a special order no problem if required. )

    I first got onto these bags about 2-3 years ago through the wind industry in Western Australia working with one of Lance's mates. Since then each company I've worked with/for I've told them about the Wingman's as they are an absolute game changer! Attached to the seat it removes the issue of leaning over into a bag that is already to low and just gets lower, the compartments mean you can have everything neat, tidy and organised, swapping tasks from grinding, laminating & painting is quick and easy. They have been durable and have taken some beatings during work and the weather conditions of sun and UV. I haven't tried the little wing bag yet but am keen based on my experience with the Wingman's. I'm also not affiliated but an happy to see Lance getting the recognition these bags deserve! I won't go back to traditional style bags

    These bags are the BOMB💣
    Don't know how I worked without them!
    Would never go back.
    Very comparable to Australian prices of other gear bags.

    What is your favourite bag setup??

  • @OzGeva
    @OzGeva 11 месяцев назад +2

    My setup is usually just big paint buckets (clean obviously) with accessory cord or a big square jerrycan that I cut open
    Those are completely free, always find them at construction sites dumps or wherever really
    Very comfortable and stays open of course, the magnet tray is actually a really good idea and you could probably get them pretty cheap and add to any bucket

    • @wingmantools
      @wingmantools 11 месяцев назад +2

      For sure! I used buckets and cut out square buckets for ages too.. I agree they work really well and shit all over most of the expensive RA gear bags on the market. The Wingman does all that and more tho.. Its got a lid for a start, won't slide off a sloping roof, magnetic capture and more.. And don't you want your clients to see a professional crew with real 'fit for purpose' gear on their job? Looks a bit cowboy swinging around with old cut out buckets onboard.. cheers, Lance

    • @TheRopeAccessChannel

      I have done that for years and when not working for other companies besides my own I still do. This bag makes it just a bit easier to access gear and organize everything

      I just looked it up. That is a nice piece of kit as well . Depending on your trade very useful. For me it would be to limiting with regards powertools and painting setups.

    Which seat are you using there my man?

    • @wingmantools
      @wingmantools 11 месяцев назад +1

      Wingman seat brackets work great with Petzl podiums, CT and Edelrid seats and work ok with Singing Rock Franklins too (but are a bit tight to slide bast the buckle and cover the side D-ring - (which is not a huge problem as you can't use it anyway if your Wingman bag is connected..)

    • @wingmantools

    magnets dont do shit on 316 steel

    • @wingmantools
      @wingmantools 11 месяцев назад +1

      No, but still the Wingman bag helps to handle your Stainless steel hardware with big square pockets (you can fit a gloved hand into), There are many telco riggers here in Australia using these bags with Stainless steel hardware. And the bag works great just clipped to structure.. Don't even need to connect it to the seat to get great function. cheers!

      I would consider the magnets a nice add on. This is one bag that helps organizing your work spot just a bit easier
