I gotta say, great video. I never thought of using our skills to flip cars. I have the same exact car just 2007. I know J series engines very very well. You may have given me an epiphany dear sir. Flipping these cars I love to work on so much. Im sure these cars sell very easily too. hmmm
Thanks for another great video man! Also really appreciate you sharing the honest details (good or bad) on the financial side of these projects. Even if the profit margin may be less from time to time, it’s awesome that you’re keeping another good Honda out of a yard and on the road for someone to use for many years to come.
7:14 your holding a smashed plug....where does this plug into? Sadly guy helping me do a swap left this unplugged and I can't find the location it is supposed to go. Inside is white, round, and 2 pin female. Plz help
Any plug on a wiring harness plugs to a sensor or another plug that is close by when you have it 3/4 stretched. And it can only, well most of the time plug into the correct sensor. Meaning dummy proof.
Usually the transmissions need replacing well before the engine.... In my 05 3.0.Accord had trans rebuilt at 210,000km,now at 310,000km trans is getting sloppy, Yet engine oil still burns clean, after changing every 10,000km
Ask how you put the hydraulic jack next to your house 🏡 oh is it necessary to get a permit? pregunta como pusiste el gato idraulico al lado de tu casa 🏡 oh si es nesesario sacar un permiso?
awesome job. i wonder how long this extensive job took you the first time because I just realised Id rather pay someone to do that; i LOVE TO WORK ON CARS but this seems too involved for me uuuuffff
I just try to do the same proyec but come out whit a problem mechanic just call me and say that the engine it's not the same ..I know the original it's a American Honda whit no VTEC and the engine that I bought have a VTEC so now I'm confused and don't now what to do
The old engine should be vtec as well… on the front cam cover what is the engine model? If it’s the 7th gen accord it should be j30a4 if pre 05 and should be a j30a5 if after 05-07. You can also see if it has the vtec actuator behind the bank closest to the firewall towards the side by the pully.
I miss your videos. Please, come back. 😔

Nice video mate. Are you open to doing any LED lighting review? We would like to arrange our LED standard replacements shipped for review purposes.

When replacing an engine in the manual version of this car is it the same when removing the engine from the transmission ?
I did same swap as you but the engine will almost stall now and it ran great in the donor car before the swap.
Any ideas?
