The Wolf Princess Yes, exactly. It’s the saint that (supposedly) protects a certain country. For France that’s Saint Joan d’Arc, for Italy Saint Francis of Assisi and Saint Catherine of Siena and so on.

Joan of Arc was also a very smart and clever woman. During her trial she was asked a trick question. “Do you know whether or not you are in Gods’s Grace?” The problem was that if she answered yes she would have been guilty of Heresy, and if she said no then she would be admitting her guilt. Either was was lose lose. Instead she responded, “If I am not, may God put me there; and if I am, may God so keep me.” This was the only correct answer, and it stumped and amazed all those in attendance at her trial. In fact she convinced almost everyone that she was in fact innocent. Only the Bishop wasn’t convinced and He was the one that gave the order to burn her which was unpopular. Ironically enough, the Bishop did not have the power or permission to hold such a trail or give such a verdict, only the Pope did at that time. Had the Pope caught wind of it at the time, he would have been the one in a heresy trial not Joan.
Being French, I feel so happy and proud to see our dear Joan first of this top ! What a woman, no matter the religious part, she was full of courage and determination to save her beloved kingdom of France ! Honneur à toi, Jeanne !!!

I'll give Joan of Arc #1 for Warriors but for this list I would choose Harriet Tubman for the top spot and Catherine the Great the top spot for the Leaders list.
A better example of Spanish American women breaking stereotypes ahead of their time and being even hailed as geniuses on a certain field would be Sor Juana Inés De La Cruz, poet and one of the leading intellectuals of the colonial period. To defend her passion for learning and literature, she even defied Catholic Church authorities when they repeatedly tried to shut her up (under the pretense of "saving her soul"). While eventually she did renunciate to her wordly endeavours, her works survived and, in Mexico, her date of birth is also celebrated as Book Day (to promote reading).
I would also add Nanny of the Maroons, one of the most noteworthy leaders of the Jamaican Maroons and a local freedom fighter alongside male counterparts like Cudjoe and Accompong.
I think u should research about Rani Laxmi Bai. She should deserve to be in this list of course if you did research properly. I am not offended but you didn't mention much Asian women although Asian women are more prone of these kind of customs and they also fought for their rights very well.
Even though her mission and causes were completely different from the list of women here, I would arguably include Mother Theresa as an honorable mention at least. She didn't fight wars, help destroy nations, or fight for equally to a degree. But she was still a "badass" of sorts for doing something that no one else had the courage to do. She devoted her entire life to helping the poor and the destitute of humanity giving them hope, courage, and love - giving of herself and whatever she had, even though she had nothing. She was enigmatic and completely devoted to her mission, despite her own hardships.
She denied sick people pain medicine so that in their suffering they would understand Jesus’ suffering. Sorry but the only miraculous thing about Mother Theresa is her PR machine.

In fact she was considered untouchable by the government and held more power than almost any Asian if not of any woman period.
Joan of Arc is my confirmation saint and she has been such an inspiration in my life and her amazing life is such an astounding and empowering woman and I love it!!!
Historians have pointed out that Joan of Arc didn't "lead" directly: she denied calling herself a commander, and the Royal military records and eyewitness accounts show that there was always a nobleman in command. Some of the nobles said they asked her for advice because they believed she was Divinely inspired, but she didn't have a command position. And she didn't "defy convention": there were many medieval mystics and religious visionaries who were consulted for advice by leaders in that era, and that's the role she held. She wasn't a "rebel" for the same reason: her stated goal was to place her king on his throne.
