Tom, your dad is a genius, legend....he is so informative and knowledgeable. Great teacher, listen to his every word.
I do too. It is like going to a farming seminar at university.
It is very interesting watching the progression of the farm and land as the seasons change. Not many people realise how much hard work goes into keeping a farm running properly. Thank god for the gift of a tractor.
Another quality video Tom, absolute credit to yourself and your father. Every video is unbelievably enjoyable and informative!
Loved the video so interesting to a none farmer and farmers alike I am sure . Love listening and learning from your dad and you better than any tv .keep the videos coming and Happy Farming
Hi Tom thank you for giving us a look at seed sowing on a small scale.
I love watching you I live on a farm and when I am bored I watch you.
P/H straight after ploughing , drill/spread grass seed and roll. Job done.
Good morning tom.. I love your video's so inspirational. and i always click so fast when u upload... best RUclipsr ever.
Not going to lie not here so much for the farming yet you and your old man look like your smashing it.. it's your drone footage why I watch the most, you get some awesome videos bro!!👌
Absolutely beautiful farm, Tom! I love watching all your videos! Josh the Stoney Ridge Farmer is to thank for that!
Great presentation Tom, love the uploads and have just subscribed your father is very knowledgeable and really plays a big part in making the uploads fantastic, keep up the great work 👍
Omg. Y'all really working this land. Way to go. Amazing!!!
I subbed because I love your enthusiasm!! You truly LOVE what you do. I'm in Finance, chained to a desk, wishing I was out running around the farm with you!!😀 PS - That is some beautiful soil!
B-Man 123 Thankyou very much 😀
Great video as always, good insight into the reseeding of grass, sounds simplistic but reading the comments there’s so many right/wrong ways to do it!
Snow is keeping me from gardening and mowing. Seems like the rain wants to keep you guessing. Looking pretty green around there.
Just watching the gulls or terns behind, joined by rooks perhaps, but at 10:17 looks like a red kite coming in for a meal too !
Tom why did you harrow a plowed field does it airate the soil nice to see how its all done your old man know his onions mate what a fella and nice to see it passed on to you tom id love an old man like that but im a self tought engineer i love that love you guys on pemberton farm 👍
Power Harrowing a ploughed field creates a good seed bed for a crop to grow. They are growing grass there soon, to make hay in the summer.
Interesting to see how you guys go about reseeding, we never do quite so mant processes
Usually for us it's plough, breakdown i.e. power harrow, seed with an air drill that has what i call a "sheep's feet" roller, (it's almost like spikes is the best explanation) and then rolled in lastly and it works well for us, that's on a quite well draining medium loan ground :)
Good video love power harrows they are so good at creating a decent seed bed
Brilliant vid the Tom buey. U both keep up the great work!
Love your farmer tan!!
Hi Tom great video and that power Harrow looks like it's doing spot on job but I bet you need go over at least twice.
173rd! GOOD MORNING TOM, LUKE, AND THE GINGER GUY! Roger in Pierre South Dakota USA 😂
I just love your channel the country life livestock everything is so amazing wish I can do the same
Lovely field t
A tip I heard from a contractor was to weld your old metal tines or similar onto new ones to extend them so you don't need to have the harrow so low, it also stopped most of the rocks from jamming in the knuckles holding the tines.
I understand the milking thing. We milked 380 holsteins 3 times a day and scraped their lots and raked their stalls every milking, plus fed calves and heifers, not to mention field work. Makes for long days. Good job
Just some tips for the power harrow, try to avoid lifting it up at the headlands after you have stopped as it leaves a big pile of dirt, lift it up when still moving when possible, do the headlands last and leave about a tractor and a bit for width to make it easy to turn around and keep those lines straight 😉
Henry Ashworth Thank Henry 😀
What the Ginger Warrior doesn't know about seeding grass.. is not worth knowing...
Really would love to see the Ginger Warrior in a Warrior (A Duetz Fahr Series 9 Warrior that is)
Great Video Tom.. Loved it!!
Lovely video Tom!
Some nice Drone Shots 👌
That would make a nice Par 4 Golf ⛳️ Hole Ginger Warrior or Driving Range 😉 #farmgolf
Great video young man and Tom!
I measured that field at 3.25acres using my aerial maps software. Naturally there will be slight differences to paper map measurements because straining posts on wire fences can be put in slightly the wrong place (a matter of centimeters) and as such that is where the difference is determined because on aerial maps you need reference points such as straining post's.
Stone walls a generally in the same place for long time so tend to offer better accuracy. Keep up the good work.
Some nice shots Tom 👍🏻 Irish hammer FTW but do you know what a donegal ladder is? 😜
Iv only been a sub for a few month's now and love every video you put up IV the same life but in Ireland 🇮🇪 keep up the videos enjoy watching them 👌✌️
Beautiful country side.
8:40 ghost seagull....
Yes, this is wonderful.
I thought there was allot of clay in the field. I wonder what happened to this field after it is planted with grass seed.
The ROCKS, necessary to roll the field before planting; got it.
Otherwise, seed into the cultivated surface. It's all good. A variety of methods accomplish great results.
Thank you.
hi tom brill vid i love the channel probably the best on RUclips
Hi mate
We made a draw bar that goes behind our power Harrow and we then pull the roller behind it it makes it heeps better cod you can do 2 jobs at once
Your dad definitely knows his stuff! Keep the good work up. Lovely content big thumbs up 👍👍
Awesome video Tom
Great video really enjoy it mate
Serious safety issue there, when your Dad came out to talk he left the PTO spinning, a seriously bad idea. Those harrows don't take prisoners.
👍👍👍Always intresting i walk about plough fields all the time metal detecting 😁🏴
Nice 👌
Love seeing the difference in farming compared to the states, but Why no skidsteer?
Great vid tom
Hi Tom nice job from Gerry Kelleher from blarney co cork Ireland
Yo Tom and Ginge. If it looks like it will rain chances have it, well its going to piss down. Its part of living in the surroundings of Morecambe Bay, lived here most of my life except undergrad life which was spent in Leeds. If it looks like rain wear a coat, weather man can give you all the assurance that for all in the world that the rain will come at 5pm. Yeah the rain appears when it wants to.
Respect to the Ginge warrior, when you have clay it can get a bit sticky, learnt that as a cub and scout that the rain will come and go as it pleases. Try walking in thick red clay during wet weather, would rather I had your tractor, a lot less effort physically.
Never worry about how long your video is, we know you only put the worth while content in, I have never felt like you are just filling time before. In all honestly I prefer longer vids here and there.
Hammerslap Really appreciate the comment... that’s why I hurry the ginger up up because I think the video will end up being to long 🙈
@@TomPembertonFarmLife you talking, him talking, cows mooing, grass blowing in the breeze, i'm betting your fans aren't to bothered no matter what the content is. id bet a camera pointed at an empty field set on 24hour live stream would pull views lol.
Good video Tom 👌👍
Great vid. We only have a 3 metre Amazone power harrow and it works ground for 20 acres of winter wheat, 60 acres of Maize and 20 acres of grass each year.
Nice Tom. Did power harrowing a few a weeks ago then used a fertiliser spreaded to spread the seeds then power harrowing again.
Spot on 👍🏻
Love the videos Tom 👌
Hell Tom that's a good job you did on your finger! Down to the bone I bet, hope its ok now? Thanks for the vid. looking forward to the next process.
Mike Rom Thanks Mike... yeah it hurt like buggery at the time and is a nightmare milking with cows just knocking it alittle 🙈 it’s on the mend, Mother bear has sorted me right out
I'm jealous of your power harrow! 🤣
You broke a rule when you get out of the tractor you should turn the pto off and have a cover on it
Bryconic 604 shut up you weirdo
Do a machinery tour Tom
Tom,
love your vids , but today i got a cringe when seeing you and dad talking while standing next to spinning PTO and the power harrow . This is one horrible accident , which is only one misplaced foot away . I always turn off the PTO when stepping outside of tractor . I want to see many more vids from you , please stay in one piece ! :-)
It's real simple don't get in the pto I see tons of these comments and I farm lots hay and cattle I obviously don't put my ha d in the mower or baler with it running I think Tom is smart enough to do the same
justin whitley. It‘s not about whether someone is stupid enough to stick their hand in there! Turning off any moving piece of equipment before getting out of the tractor is perfect practice to avoiding an accident. If you were to trip up and fall into it that’s the end of you.
@@nasa1985 yeah true just somethng you learn if a piece of metal wire or baler twine gets caught in pto ot could drag you in
In my opinion there is plenty of other dangers working on a farm to be concerned about haha. They are experienced. Granted it may be good practice. But farmers are made of harder stuff lol.
Wise words indeed, not to be ignored. The Safety Officer hat should never drop.
Great vid tom but i noticed that you have a slate off on your roof left hand side of velux 😊👍
Great video dude
Tom great videos love them all love it when your dad makes a mistake he doesn’t really want to amid it but he always has some kind of reason why he made the mistake but it really wasn’t his fault! I
laugh every time!!
Keep up the great videos thank you very much!!!
Shout out to you from America I live in Twin Falls,Idaho
Them dogs have some nice ground to stay on
Good one Tom
The birds....The birds
Great video Tom (great name btw), I'd want the case on the power harrow for a laugh 😂😂
Boa tarde pra você meu amigo tom
Lovely day ,am late but the sound ad the vedio is supa great ,HD
Nice one Tom . Have a good weekend.
Hi Tom. we have just been hit by major vandalism whilst trying to do spring work. some nice person filled the oil on the New Holland with sand and gravel. New engine at £15K required. Who will rid us of these pests!
Great video Tom, how old is that harrow? Good to see dad in the video.
Yeah yeah yeah we get it... we ARE subscribed! ;-)
Tom could you do a video of you milking cows and taking them in and putting them out it would be nice to see what you do every morning and evening if you agree
excellent video tom always look forward to your new videos your dad defo needs a youtube channel or you worried he will steal your subs haha.
tractor which is very convenient, in my country there are no tractors using the cabin😔
Don’t you have scrapers on your rollers ? Is that power harrow the same as a roto-tiller ? Your ROLLING FOR STONES ! Lmao 😂
Nice video Tom. 3 things, 1st, please! Shut off the pto when you're talking to eachother. 2nd, wouldn't it be nicer to level of the endfurrow? 3rd, if you take the toplink off first, life will be easier 😉 grtz from the netherlands
Haha, I just wanted to point out that 3rd point :D.
Also.. I saw it in earlier tractor vids, but it surprised me a bit that the Hurlimann doesn't have the (walterscheid) quick hooks (don't know the official name of the system). We have a 21yr old 85hp New Holland and it has the quick system, makes my life SOOOOO much easier since i change implements way too much :D
And another greet from the Netherlands :D
@@mrvanahead gewoon walterscheid idd.😉 check mijn kanaal ook ff, altijd verlegen om meer abonnees 😅
A good educational today, could you not have had the roll behind at the same time, one pass two jobs done?. Great to see Ginger Warrior giving another farming lesson. You seem fated with these drones breaking something each time, will have to come up and fly it for you.
New(wish) power harrow? Very oldish power harp. Haven't seen a rear crumbled bar like that for years. You've got good soil though.
Top link on last on first off
NICE TOM
Calf hay field. Square baled?
Hi tom love the video
Nice video keep them up
Thanks Tom keep them up
With your accents I keep trying to see where the cabbage rolls are!!! Lol
Nice dog paddock out front
Are the birds looking for worms??
Hi ya what make the pawer harrow tom
We call that a rotor tiller here.
I would love to work on that farm so tidy
I love Hürlimann
Tom I didn’t know you had a buck rake do you have an old forager too
I have asked several times the farms soil type - no answer. My guess is clay.
Robert Mcwhirter aye probably looks like some fields are floodplains so probably clay
Robert Mcwhirter Sorry mate I must have mist you asking. It’s some clay/ heavy land in places and then around the main farm it’s a lot lighter soils. 100’s ago it was the sea front 🙈
@@TomPembertonFarmLife would you consider Robitic milking
If not why not
Can you try 360 go pro or vivitor camera.
Tom Pembyboi
Would u get a small john deere
I am 11years old and I’m interesting with farming /camera
what did you apply the seed with?
Well, the Go Pro sound is better than sound from the mic.......
Front tires on the tractor are looking a bit bald Tom
They are Grass Friendly tyres..
