    I know I don't own the rights to "HOW TO: (insert exercise)", or titles like "THE BEST # EXERCISES For..."
    But this video series was created with a VERY unique purpose which was to deliver a complete and FREE workout program to all of you. There was a lot of thought that went into the exercises and how they would be incorporated in the program along with easy to follow PDF downloads that also included images of all the exercises. It wasn't just a "point and shoot" type of video series.
    I am very disappointed in Jeff and the icing on the cake is that about 1 year ago he made a video talking smack ABOUT my "ONLY TWO" series... I'll post the link below.

      You have every right to call Jeff out for this. If you write a thesis and copy another author's approach 1:1, that's considered plagiarism even if you only copied the exact approach and not even the words or the results.
      I know this is YT and not the university, but it's fundamentally the same problem, copying a creative idea without mentioning its originator. It's dishonest at the very least.

      ​@@kooroshrostami27 You should probably google plagiarism before making arguments like this. Writing a thesis on the same subject as somebody else is not considered plagiarism when the content of the thesis is fundamentally different. Plagiarism is presenting another person's work as your own without consent. The exercises on the videos are different. This literally means that they do not agree even on the fundamentals of the subject. By definition this cannot be plagiarism.
      In fact, what Scott is doing in this video could be considered much more serious. He is basically accusing Jeff in public of copying his content without evidence. Jeff could literally make a case for slander and actually file a lawsuit against Scott.

    Just want to say that I both follow you and Jeff on the OG days. You were wearing those blue shorts while Jeff was in his basement gym at that time. Both of you are one of my favorite fitness youtubers as I get free fitness knowledge, even today. You both help me live a healthy lifestyle thru fitness, eating well, etc. Wasn't expecting you guys to step on each others toes but hope you guys will get along pretty well.     Serious Q: have you tried to contact Cavalier about this prior to the video?
    I ask because coming up(41) I was taught to go to someone when you had an issue with them. Pop and grandpa would encourage you to get them on the phone or talk to them face to face to hash it out. I have taken that mindset with me to this day where if I have an issue w a company, I call their service number, see them in person or private message them as opposed to trying to blast them online as a 1st resort.
    It feels like the modern era is moreso geared to doing things publicly via social media for situations that a call or email could rectify.
    However, I do 100% understand your gripe, I saw another vid that looked like a subliminal shot at you and it would make me feel some kind of way.
    Full disclosure, I count you and AthleanX among the vintage era fitness youtubers. I think you both have worthwhile information.

    He's been doing the only *insert number* exercises you need to build *insert muscle* for longer than 2 years (mostly for those with little time). Him choosing to do 2 now doesn't really seem like copying tbh, but something he would naturally progress to considering how many topics he had already done.
    Plus, a lot of other youtubers have "the only *insert number* exercises you need to build *insert muscle*". Maybe not all with the exact title, but the content is the same

      @@ScottHermanFitness I watched it. There's also plenty of other youtubers that give pdf manuals. Nothing new nor groundbreaking. I can see that you put a lot of effort into the series and the video organization, but again, nothing new. A format that has existed for a while, it's hardly copying. And given how much info he gives and in what way, nobody can say he doesn't put a lot of effort into his videos too.
      When I would say someone copied you or anyone else, especially with a topic that had been done numerous times, is when someone copies videos word by word. Like vshred did if I remember correctly

    I’m a huge fan of yours and Gregs but let’s be fair. If you’re going to make a series for the minimum number of exercises for a muscle group it either going to be two or three. This ‘idea’ of yours is hardly unique or original and you’re making way too much of a big deal about it to hate on Athlean-X. It’s not like he copied the exact ingredients and quantity of a supplement like Pre-workout or something. You are acting like you’ve come up with something that nobody else would have thought of. Sorry Scott but you’re wrong on that this.

    Dude... this is exactly why I stopped watching your videos to begin with. I literally had to take a break from you for like almost 2 years. I thought I'd come back again because I legitimately missed watching your videos... and it's still just the same old high school drama routine that you started to fall into. How did you end up getting into this petty crap? I literally started following you like 10 years ago and just LOVED your channel for the longest time. The amount of frustration and aggravation that you're bringing to something that is SO dependent on a healthy state of mind is completely counterintuitive, extremely undesirable, and just wasteful.     My channel is 100x smaller than yours but even I get loads of people copying my content. From stealing my thumbnail/titles to copying my scripts to straight up reuploading my videos. I can’t even imagine how often you must deal with it and for it to be coming from one of the biggest creators on this platform must be extra frustrating. As if Jeff doesn’t have a big enough team to come up with some original ideas for him lol

    To this day I look up your videos on different exercises going back 12 years or so.
    You never minced words, you get down to the point of explaining the anatomy & physiology of the exercise and demonstrated it.
    I stopped listening to Cavalier and a bunch of others with youtube exercise channels years ago.
    IMO, Scott Herman, Jay Cutler, and T-Nation offer the best lifting instruction videos.

    @ScottHerminFitness Your 'Only two exercises' has been the foundation of all my workouts. They are what I call the main course, everything else is like side dishes and dessert.
    First I'll do the 'only two', if I have more time, I'll do more exercises. I train my clients the same way.

    I stopped following Athlean x after he lied to everyone with his fake plates, lied about his trt and said not to do situps then months later encourages to do them. Some of his advice is ridiculous too.

      He flip flops on many exercises for content and the sad thing about the fake weights is that if he just admitted it I dont think anyone would have really cared.
      If he just explained how exhausting filming content is (believe me I know), and thats why he did it.. then fine.. whatever.
      But to use fake weights to show a 500lbs+ deadlift that you CAN'T do... thats a big no no.

    Hey Scott, know that I’m one of the people you helped in training and perfecting my exercise form and even advised into transitioning over from the Asian diet which contains nothing but processed junk to the western diet which is the natural way of eating for humans in general centuries ago and is also way more nutritious filled with protein, good carbs and healthy fats and not to mention the vitamins and minerals. You are an inspiration and one of the few remaining OGs that never changed. I wasn’t satisfied with the shitty body that I had as an Asian due to my body’s lack of muscle and body fat thus making it hard to build muscle but thanks to you, you helped me realize that all I needed to do was to embrace the reality of hard work and evolution and just keep at it and never stop looking for solutions. I recently achieved the fit body that I dreamt from for years and am finally happy with where I am with a muscular physique similar to a typical Caucasian man rippled with muscles and lean insertions and it’s all thanks to you my man😎👊🏻
    Keep up the awesome work of inspiring and helping people better their lives and health cos you’re a real one homie👍🏻

    Hey Scott, I see and understand that you made this series the “only two” and you put a lot of thought into it and effort. I can clearly see that. I personally don’t think that Jeff meant to copy you, I mean we’ll just see what happens. To me Jeff has always been an honest and understanding guy so this is either a coincidence or maybe he did copy it or maybe he copied it in a way that doesn’t involve Any bad intent like maybe he wanted to add some of his own exercises. But I mean that’s just my thing. I do want to finish by saying that I think you and Jeff are great fitness influencers. you taught me things, he taught me things and I hope there’s no more conflict in the future and I wish you both the best. 😇✌️

    lets be honest how hard is it to think about video series with 2 exercises for each muscle group. If you think your idea was copied that is stupid. Your criticism would make sense if the exercises were identical, which it is not. You two have very different ideas of what the best 2 exercises are.

    hi scott, im another one of those people who saw ur videos years ago and glad u still around, not sure if this the right place to ask, but whats your opinion on JM presses, i tend to do 10 reps of low weight for 3 or 4 sets after bench, so far its helped my triceps develop but i dont see many people ever doing them, is there any long term disadvantages to doing them?

The only two series was amazing because it was genuinely time & workout efficient exercises. Not giving any credit to you is a dick move. Great video to make your point but still be a pro.     Scott u sound like a baby here. He copied or took inspo of one of your YEARS old series and hes getting good numbers which is upsetting you. Im sure u have also copied or taken inspo of other youtubers and added your own flare to it aswell. Jeff includes different workouts, plethora of explanations, and other valuable information that many could find useful through a catchy series that was easy to follow.
