One complaint about Windows 10: it keeps growing in disk space it takes up due to the ever expanding Win SxS. I like to keep less than half my C drive full, and my C drive is only 250 GB so a few GB matters.
I am genuinely curious how is it holding up today. I think Vista UI still looks amazing today but idk how is the PC that’s old enough to have Vista holding up. If you are struggling with browser compatibility you could maybe check out the Supermium browser. It’s basically an open source fork of Chrome that works on older versions of Windows.
i recently upggraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and it ran amazingly on my oldass 2014 computer the only thing i dislike about windows 10 is the fun minigames from windows 7 lile purble place and stuff i really want them back
Microsoft sacked all their testers and then made Windows 10 which had loads of bugs and continued that model until a release deleted a lot of peoples files and the backlash was massive (2019 I think). They then reverted to testing Windows again and things got better. MS still follows a ridiculous naming convention for updates which changed 3 times since its release. It deserved all the hate it got. Windows 2003/XP x64 is still the fastest, least resource hungry and stable version of Windows out of the box.
the worst part is the drop of their own browser engine and they switch to chromium. they give to google the total monopoly on web. firefox is just like a zombie keeping live by google money only to not being accused by the law from being monopolist. sorry for my bad english but i hope i explain myself

im still more of a fan of 7 ngl, the style of 10 is just not it. A light blue default wallpaper mixed with a white theme is not a good combo. But i may be biased of 7 since ive used it a lot
i will have to disagree with the part of "any dual core laptop could run Windows 10" sadly the Pro and Home editions of Windows 10 are inflated with unnecessary tools and software that the normal user probably won't ever use, even Windows 10 LTSC IoT still has a lot of performance issues, Windows 10 itself needs at least 8GB of DDR4 or above to run smoothly as well as a SATA or NvMe SSD, Hard Disks are unusable on the OS.
One thing that people seem to forget is Windows 10 was a slow evolution. Windows 10 in 2015 is extremely different than 2022 versions. If you pay attention, Microsoft eased Windows 10 into the more modern Windows 11 design language (in terms of the icons). The original icons were flat and colorless, where now they are colorful and have a bit of depth. Also I could not disagree more in terms of Windows 10’s UI consistency. I think that Windows 10’s UI is the most inconsistent jumbled mess Microsoft has ever released. Most obvious example would be Settings app vs Control panel, or heck the lack of dark theme support in the control panel. Also, WHY is game bar literally baked into Windows 10 and Windows Server versions with no way to uninstall?? Anyways, it’s a good OS, but those are my thoughts lol
Or we could just go back to 7 when icons were filled with meaning and color and vividness and the os was filled with beautiful translucent glass textures with phenomenal animations
@@armichng I actually like the taskbar animations and colored icons in the settings menu from Windows 11, but if there is one major thing Windows 10 did better than 11 it would be the resizeable start menu. Much better than either having to click to go to the ‘all apps’ section or a full screen start menu nobody asked for from Windows 8.
I don't really agree with this, it's far from the best OS. Windows 10 is honestly terrible. It absolutely chugs a mechanical hard drive making it unusable on low end laptops, it's unstable, unreliable, buggy, full of ads, and is a huge mess. (If you go into the os's legacy features you'll see what I mean) I've been using Windows 10 for over 7 years now (since early 2017) and I've always absolutely disliked it. Every single day the OS would interfere with my daily tasks either by crashing or slowing down. My PC even goes as far as waking me up in the middle of the night to run updates because it's so bad. Windows 7 and XP were by far the best.
XP is overrated. It's very nostalgic due to its popularity but 2000 was wayyyy more stable and secure. Even Vista SP2 became better than it, but it was too late to the party.
I'm gonna say it, current Edge is not only just as good as Chrome and Firefox, but with all the other modern browsers that exist nobody should be using Chrome.
Well I understand, why most people look at windows 10 as a best windows, but to me, the most classic, polished and fast is windows 7. Simply, because windows 10 is already very close to windows 11 regarding bloat and other stupid stuff, whereas windows 7 doesn´t have any of this plus it has Vista interface, which is the most beautiful interface in history and it also has the cleanest menus and settings. This is really ultimate package to me and timeless windows of all. I am not saying, that 10 is bad. It is like windows 11 should be in this hyper modern world, but it is no way as classic and clean as windows 7. I am already using windows 11, but have installed third party applications to change this not so good interface into classic one from windows 7. The only reason, why I am using windows 11, is due to latest support of everything from drivers to Microsoft updates, direct x for games, but if the support was not an issue, I would keep using windows 7 forever, but what can we do? As new hardware comes, it must be accompanied with actual software as well so everything runs as it should. It would be really priceless, if next windows 12 had option to switch to classic interface with aero graphics and no bloat arround. That would be again the ultimate windows since windows 7 times, but I don´t believe this much.

One complaint about Windows 10: it keeps growing in disk space it takes up due to the ever expanding Win SxS. I like to keep less than half my C drive full, and my C drive is only 250 GB so a few GB matters.
It might be popular but it just didn't have the same experience of Windows 7...
Back in 2016 I though windows 10 was an inferior older version of windows, and windows 7 was the latest. I ofc didn't know it was called windows 10.
Im sticking with windows 10 until it loses support. Than im probably gonna switch to linux.
I'm still on Windows Vista bro. I might mive to 7 or 8, maybe ten.
Vista was underrated
@@SurfsharkAcademy it's awesome imo
HELL YEAH! Windows Vista and Server 2008 are the best OSs i have ever used. i daily drive the NT 6.0 systems on a majority of my pcs lol.
@@SurfsharkAcademy agreed
i recently upggraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and it ran amazingly on my oldass 2014 computer the only thing i dislike about windows 10 is the fun minigames from windows 7 lile purble place and stuff i really want them back
I was just going to comment that file explorer tabs are pretty much the only thing Win10 is missing and then you mentioned it. Great minds hey! 😂
Love explorer tabs! Honestly it took them too long to implement this feature
2:47 Searching exists. It's 2024, people should already know by now
even if its out of support that wont stop me from using it i still use 7 on my laptop
windows 7 ultimate is still the ultimate windows version ❤
Windows 10 will still be the last goat❤️☺️😌
Meanwhile, I'm still out here using Windows 7 (with VxKex)...
Windows 7 is the best OS Ever
I guess I would go with Windows 10 LTSC.
Hopefully, Windows 11 would become stable by the time Windows 10 ends it's support~
It's good now, so it's likely it will be even better. Windows 10 was even worse than 11 on the day of its release, but people forgot about it
7 is the best windows for desktop, windows 8 is best for touch screens windows 10 and 11 tried to be both and failed at them
Window 7 is better
Correct.
Yes. Correct.
95 and 98 were by far the best even with a few bugs but it was clean with no bloatware, ads, or advertising just a nice simple operating system.
No
Windows 10 will still be good os ☺️@@funfriends9077
Microsoft Edge is cool and it introduced taskbar changing color and copilot is cool and the ui is sooooo good so win10 is still good
none of those things are remotely good or cool
Microsoft sacked all their testers and then made Windows 10 which had loads of bugs and continued that model until a release deleted a lot of peoples files and the backlash was massive (2019 I think). They then reverted to testing Windows again and things got better. MS still follows a ridiculous naming convention for updates which changed 3 times since its release. It deserved all the hate it got.
Windows 2003/XP x64 is still the fastest, least resource hungry and stable version of Windows out of the box.
4:57 YES. him and Xbox one although both of them are based on Linux
8:06 it’s so good
i sure hope the next Windows will demand to use even more right clicks for a simple task
I want to be hip
All windows versions exept some feel like they cant be replaced but then you wait for a few years for eg windows 7
the worst part is the drop of their own browser engine and they switch to chromium. they give to google the total monopoly on web. firefox is just like a zombie keeping live by google money only to not being accused by the law from being monopolist. sorry for my bad english but i hope i explain myself
Hello, how are you? Please refer your software engineers to think for the users of countries like Iran 🇮🇷 where the internet is limited and have filtering, for example, to produce a special anti-censorship protocol, be sure if it works in Iran and the users are satisfied. They introduce each other and several million people buy your subscription service because we have to use vpn here
Windows11 seems more complicated even I am not a boomer(my parental generation ) ..
Seriously it won't work properly in HDD..you have to force yourseld to use SSD!
And a good RAM type 😢!
Further more if u use Win 11 with unsupported manner!..you will face Drivers issue..as it ain't link to hardware component and it's motherboard..,TPM is not much a issue..!
2:58 Well to be heard off its a hardware related thing..so maybe BIOS csn disable it..,but the main issue is OS wants to use TPM😅
I only use Edge not even installed Chrome 😅
im still more of a fan of 7 ngl, the style of 10 is just not it. A light blue default wallpaper mixed with a white theme is not a good combo. But i may be biased of 7 since ive used it a lot
You can remove recommended stuff on windows 11 just right click on them and click uninstall
i will have to disagree with the part of "any dual core laptop could run Windows 10" sadly the Pro and Home editions of Windows 10 are inflated with unnecessary tools and software that the normal user probably won't ever use, even Windows 10 LTSC IoT still has a lot of performance issues, Windows 10 itself needs at least 8GB of DDR4 or above to run smoothly as well as a SATA or NvMe SSD, Hard Disks are unusable on the OS.
A dual core laptop could definitely run Windows 10, but with an SSD for sure.
Windows forcing you to update would never not be funny to me
Everytime i boot into windows 11 on my laptop, my fans go crazy.
The RIGHT CLICK ON MOUSE PAD ON WINDOWS 11 IS PURE NONSENSE
Nah, I rather say Windows XP and 7 were better because they still had a much cooler, charming and iconic design than the last two.
10 was in line with 2015 standards and I still think It’s great
@@armichng I actually like the taskbar animations and colored icons in the settings menu from Windows 11, but if there is one major thing Windows 10 did better than 11 it would be the resizeable start menu. Much better than either having to click to go to the ‘all apps’ section or a full screen start menu nobody asked for from Windows 8.
@@infernal-toad I agree with you for the whole point
@@zurkke windows 7 was by far the best
@@lukeb7954 it is but not by far. 2000 is the best classic Windows, for example.
@@zurkke Yep 7 is the best os
Idk i like win 11 then win10 ( i'd use revo uninstall,shutup 10 to deblot ) tpm can bypass.
Ngl I started tearing up in the end, best OS ever made.
something I do appreciate in windows 11 is they kept the same UI from windows 10. when you have taps open (windows)
I'm gonna say it, current Edge is not only just as good as Chrome and Firefox, but with all the other modern browsers that exist nobody should be using Chrome.
LIES!!! Windows 7 was the best. I'll die on this hill
i thought windows 10 was made in 2019 nad i thought windows 8.1 was discontinued in 2019 aswell :O
That would be again the ultimate windows since windows 7 times, but I don´t believe this much.
i aslo think that the original Windows 10 sounds from build 10074 are far bether than what came in 1703
surf shark sponsoring themselves🤣🤣
windows 10 will no longer receive updates after 2025. So basically its gonna face the same fate as windows 7
Windows 10 broke my old laptop 2015
How can you say win 10 was the best when the best were 7 and XP
come on guys... why so much hate for win 11???
you can remove the recommended section tho
I use Edge as my ONLY browser on all my devices. Also, I only use Linux on my computers meaning I have Edge installed in my Linux env. Crucify me.
