- A BBQ CHALLENGE SO BIG They did not think it could be done! A platter so big the owner did not believe one man could complete it alone. Today we take on a giant Texas barbeque challenge at a very well-known and long established, famous barbeque place in Southlake, Texas, in the DFW area. Located just outside Dallas, Texas, Feed Store Barbecue actually started as a feed store before turning into a barbeque restaurant, where it has been for about 20 years. Specializing in award-winning burgers, Texas, style barbecue, and other southern favorites, such as catfish, this “Trough” barbeque challenge features it all! For this challenge, we had one hour to complete the giant barbeque challenge in order to get the $150 meal for free. This 10lb+ food challenge had turkey, brisket, burnt ends, catfish, ribs, multiple sides like coleslaw, beans, etc. Can we defeat this unbeaten barbeque challenge? Or will the 88 year old owner be correct and it really is unbeatable?

I love how the owners came thru and showed themselves and spoke about their business with you and shared their history and how they made the business came about, their bbq looks soo good and they clearly are doing something right, they do look well kept for being in their 80's. They seem very friendly and welcoming, that alone would want me to come be a customer there. Amazing ppl and food!

Im a native Texan who grew up with family competing in BBQ cookoffs for generations. Needless to say, I love true Texas BBQ. I honestly didn't think Joel had a chance with this one. Massive richness and pure weight on that platter. But, all I can say is wow! You deserved more than just a free meal for this accomplishment. Congrats Joel, thanks for sharing ! You ARE the man !

The brisket here is amazing, we get one for Christmas and Thanksgiving every year. Alot of briskets are good while still hot. This brisket has been rendered so good it stays excellent even cold.
What I love Joel Hanson the most is that he appreciates all the foods that he eats.

I am from Canada and was lucky enough to experience Texas BBQ at Terry Blacks in Austin. I was not prepared for my first Texas Bbq Brisket experience. I was blown away. Great Video as always Joel.

I've been to Texas, had actual smoked brisket there, it was incredible; the savory, umami, _beefy_ flavor, combined with the smoke, is just fantastic, one of the greatest ways to cook meat that I have ever tasted, on par with a well-seared, medium-rare A5 wagyu.
You like the most genuine food reviewer I've came across, I can't stop watching. I fw the fact that in a lot of your videos you're bringing to light the scamming behind a lot of these food challenges, and giving more appreciation to the genuine ones, this is how food reviewing should be.
I came across a video yesterday while looking for new videos of Beard. I viewed one of the more recent videos and I must say, I am a new fan of @joshhansen. I have to appreciate the way he does his challenges. He is not just stuffing, he is asking questions, he's praising the food and he eats incredibly clean (I can glance over the few burps which he is always apologising for). New fan won 😁👍
You should create a second channel and do a behind the scenes. Like a 10-15 minute walkthrough with the owners and chefs. It would be so cool to see the bbq pits and let the owners show off their process. I bet you’re big enough now they’d let you do it. Minimal production and raw like this. Kinda of like Joel, dinners and dives…
