When it comes to gaming laptops, Samsung might not be the first name to come to mind, but they are very serious about making this machine a BEAST for gaming. With its Ivy Bridge processor and GTX 675M graphics card, this is about as good as it gets until you get into some pretty crazy prices!

Using this laptop in 2019. its is still a beast.
On paper it seemed to have the power of the modern lowest tier gaming laptop or at least a little more powerful

Still using mine in 2021 - shame the graphics can't easily be updated (VBIOS issues and custom GPU PCB shape and all that) as the CPU and RAM still holds up for a lot of stuff today.

TacoLattePurere it ain’t a Touch Bar. it’s just a strip of glass that doesn’t have any functionality, it’s just to make the computer look “cool”. The *real* Touch Bar is a long secondary touchscreen sent to replace the Function keys for something useful that varies per app

I have a MSI GT60, which has pretty similar specs, but this looks pretty damn good for a first attempt at a gaming PC... especially that transition to Gaming mode. Has to be one of the coolest things I've seen in computing out there.
i have this exact lappy that im playing games on havent tried anything amazing recently other than wow level graphics, but still playing on its highest settings in 2018 (no shadows) and rarely drop below 60fps. not bad for a 6yo. they nailed it imo. the only thing ive done is i threw a 250gb ssd in replacing the 120gb one

The 120hz screen is really what makes this an incredible laptop. I wish Samsung still made gaming laptops.
why is 120hz so good?
For desktop usage it's smoother when you drag things around. It's mainly for gaming. When your video card is outputting 120fps, the display will actually show all 120 frames. With a normal 60hz monitor it will only be able to display 60 of the 120 frames. If your graphics card is outputting more than 120fps this display will still only be able to show 120 frames per second.

2018, still use myn flat out, best laptop iv owned. Sadly its starting to power off on its own, think il upgrade to the Aero 15X.
Max G it may be a heating issue clean inside laptop and put new thermal paste
@DM Master Designs Ud be pushing to get 60fps unless u upgraded the gpu and lowered the setting.
Also sadly it got flooded along with my car about 3 years ago, i kept it and going to try and rebuild it but i don't like my chances of it working.
I would 100% buy another one if i saw it on ebay but they are very hard to come by.

I just bought this but I seem to have found a problem. I'm not sure if my keyboards not secured right or its just mean to be like this. Between keys f4-f5, when you press down, the keyboard presses down and the keys to the west don't seem to be secure whereas when you push one of the keys to the east of the keyboard, only that key goes down without the keyboard feeling like it's not secure. Is this just a problem with me and can I easily check the screws without opening it all up?

Iam planning to get the newer yellow model and what I cant find an answer to is about the ram. Are all ram slots accessible from the bottom since I was going to get more ram to bring it up to 16gig. It only comes with 8. I didnt understand where he says 2 more under the keyboard. Sounds like you need to disassemble from the top to add ram?? Ty for any info.
hey linus i had a question about this laptop, i have bought this laptop but i wanted to know if somehow i could turn the screen on it to 3D as the refresh rate is 120hz thats enough to turn a screen into a 3D screen and also the american version of this laptop comes in 3D, has the same specs same screen but its able to output 3D so i wanted to know, if i buy 3D glasses with this would it work or do we have to change the screen thanks

Depends on how they've set up the venting. This will have larger fans compared to regular notebooks.
