  • Follow along as I build a camera mount for the Raspberry pi zero W and load MotionEyeOS so I can view the camera anywhere in the world.
For models that need to be printed along with required non-printed parts, follow the thingiverse link below:
    www.thingiverse.com/thing:338...
Also you will need a wpa_supplicant.conf file that I've shared below:
    www.dropbox.com/s/2pny473t1ms...
Be sure to update the SSID and password for your own network.
Feel free to contact me on twitter @jimscuba2386
I hope you enjoy the project!

Btw if anyone is trying to connect to a hidden network add this to line 7 of the wpa_supplicant.conf file "scan_ssid=1"

Nice video. I recommend to use a router with VPN features to not expose your cameras to the whole internet

TSDrobbie hope it works for you! Took me a couple days to figure out what I was doing wrong! Hopefully the video helps you skip past that frustration :)

TSDrobbie ah you didn’t reflash between each wpa file change and tried to edit the wpa file multiple times?

TSDrobbie yeah that was a frustrating day. No one mentions that in their videos that it only works on the first try :)
That’s why when I make videos I try my darndests not to skip steps or assume anything. Yeah he video may be longer and drawn out, but there’s always someone out there who needs that critical, but possibly obvious to others, step to finish their project.

I am trying to work whit a Arducam OV5647 infrared cam but can't get the infrared on yet. Motioneye has no function for that.
