    Hey guys welcome back to the channel, in today’s video I’ll be talking about how I’m selling these quality hvac hats, love your videos but I’m ready for that video lol

    Amazing. I'm old school. Still using my 20 year old vacuum pump. Not working full time these days. Think I'll keep my money for a vacation

      So in other words you have no idea if your system is leaking or not? Nitro test is not a one and done. I wish some of the older gentlemen would start doing some reading because they will basically have to accept the fact that "old school" = poor installs. I just don't get it. Probably using your 1/4" service hoses for evacuations too. No core tools either. Grow with the trade bro!

    Just started watching your videos about a month ago. I just got promoted to being a service tech with my work and have had to get more tools and such. I really enjoy your videos! I just picked up this gauge myself and hoping it will do as well for me as it has for you! Also loved your veto pack MC video! Thanks for everything.

    I use my testo 557s with Bluetooth probes. I have walked down the road to test them so far I couldn't see my house and never lost connection. It was further that my wifi would stay connected. This was connected to the manifold not to a phone or tablet, with the probes at the house and me walking carrying the manifold with me.

    Not usually on regular units. But I for when I do VRV OR VRF systems. I have to pull down to below 500 microns. And it has to hold for an hour. Use an Apion cave stem remover and it will pull down even faster.

    I just realized you can literally connect the micron gauge to a set of gauges to see if your gauges leak. Now I know you're not supposed to pull vacuums thru gauges in the first place but that would be good for the knuckleheads who still do and are wondering if their gauges are leaking. If you can't get said knuckleheads to use a single or double hose setup then at least you can have them do that

    I even asked Fieldpiece and couldn't get a response so does this accept positive pressure? Noticed you and also fieldpiece had no way to isolate the gauge after evacuation.

    • @berated4541
      @berated4541 3 года назад +1

      There should be a valve core remover in-between that micron gauge and the service port. Pull from low, read from high (this is most accurate reading of vacuum achieved in a system) Also seeing how all a micron gauge does is read a temperature (This is why most calibrations require putting it in a bag, in your freezer, after and alcohol cleaning) positive pressure won't harm anything, the issue is getting oil on the sensor. So long as you keep the micron gauge angled up, and only crack your service ports just enough to allow positive pressure in your system, you should be able to avoid getting any oil on the sensor.

    • @baitcasterdisaster8981
      @baitcasterdisaster8981 3 года назад +1

      The manual that comes with the guage says it can handle up to 800 psi positive pressure. I’ve had it a couple weeks now and I pull a vacuum the same way on new installs, one hose on the suction line with the core removed and leave the core in the liquid line and place the micron gauge on the liquid line. When I’m done with my vacuum I open the valves and I haven’t had an issue with the micron gauge yet. I’ve also put it on the side port of a valve core removal tool when I’m pulling a two hose evacuation if I’m changing a compressor or pulling on the entire system and isolate the core tools and charge the system with the micron gauge still in place on the core tool no issues yet

    • @matthewking6509
      @matthewking6509 3 года назад

      Mate get the bluvac it’s smaller and all the bells and whistle functions . Accepts positive pressure no problem.

    • @bill944
      @bill944 3 года назад +1

    • @coldfinger459sub0
      @coldfinger459sub0 3 года назад

      If you do not have the money to buy the expensive vacuum rated hoses.
      We always have soft copper left at the end of every one of our installation job so use that.
      Add your own fittings make your own flair and you now have a vacuum rated pose made out of copper.
      You could use quarter inch or if you really want to go for the gusto you could step it up to threeeights of an inch and at the end step it down to the quarter inch with a flared end & nut.
      I like free

We want you to review but don’t say nothing negative is what fieldpiece would tell him. I like this guys videos he is awesome at fabrication and installs but I agree his is selling out. Love your videos and I’ve been following for a while. Ive watched and read a few reviews on this micron gauge But all of them have been missing something. I really wanted to know peoples personal experiences with these. I want to know how your experience was with the 1000ft range. Is that distance with it connected to the gauges or the phone. Is the rated battery life with it in Bluetooth mode or is that shorter. We all know that when apple or Samsung says their battery last 24 hrs that it really only lasts twelve in low power mode.
    And please don’t take my comment as rude. I was just really looking forward to your experiences with items rather then their specs list.

    Leaking from day 1, got mine from Johnston's Supply, took it out on the field on a new install, it reached 2800 microns and no more, I thought I had a leak on the system, after waisting a lot of time I decided to connect my old cps-vg200 and pulled down to 480 microns and it was holding for 20 minutes, the next day I returned it to the store, they got me a replacement one, same thing happened all over again, brand new out of the box and leaking, returned it and got my money back.
    I have all fieldpiece tools, digital gauges, scales, multimeter etc etc etc with zero problems, except their vacuum gauges they are junk. So if you buy one, ask about the return policy, you probably gonna need it.

      @@hvacjay3201 what hype? They basically invented the software that allows for predicting the result of a decay test and indicating wether there is a leak or not. They also have the most accurate micron gauges I’ve ever used. They don’t leak like many of the original Fieldpiece ones did, are easily cleaned, easily calibrated, and backed by a support team that posts a phone number rather than making you email them. I’m not meaning to knock Fieldpiece other than on their original micron gauge. I really like my SMAN380 and wireless probes, but certain companies are better at some tools than others. Just my opinion of course.
