I love her song, "I Just Wanna Be Mad." It expresses an important truth that can be difficult to admit.
❤❤❤
It's my favorite song of hers, followed closely by 'Girls Lie Too'.
😅😅😅😅😅
3 girls used to sing me a song in the morning.Where I can make up.I locked it though I was on KO.NKAY Forster of O.R RE s TER forester sisters. The song is I fell in love LO.V e again love
The guitar on Tennessee flat top box by Roseanne cash.Yeah, it is R.I.G.H t
Sara Evans Suds in the Bucket
YES!!!
Terri Clark - If I Were You (1996).
Jo Dee Messina - Heads Carolina, Tails California (1996) and You're Not In Kansas Anymore (1996)
Lorrie Morgan - I Didn't Know My Own Strength (1995) and Back In Your Arms Again (1995).
Martina McBride - Wild Angels (1995)
Suzy Boggus, K.T. Oslin, Holly Dunn, Kelly Willis are other really good country ladies. More Anne Murray, Reba, Patty Loveless, Tricia Yearwood too
Jo Dee Messina “My Give a Damns Busted” you will love it.
Another good sassy one is Jo Dee Messina - My Give A Damns Busted
Yes. She does an awesome version of the song written and performed by the late Joe Diffie. Actually... That sounds like maybe a new daily concept. Do a cover song and then the original recording, especially if it was recorded by the songwriter. At least I'd be into it.
Sure, sure, do love this country. Where I'm a super sexit sacred supermodels working for Victoria on the side. Of bath. I'm not sure about question mark oh yes, my college t. Guess I try and shift the video. I've got a video Confederate railroad. Thai, do that song Tr ASA try? Trashy, that's a song by Confederate Ralph.
Terri Clark is amazing. Her version of "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" (which Linda Ronstadt had also recorded previously) is definitely worth a listen.
That's a good one. "Emotional Girl" is another great track, and "Easy on the Eyes".
@btgiv6009 I haven't heard that in a while. I used to listen to country a lot during the mid to late 90s.
I'll try it. But if Linda Ronstadt did it, it's Done. It is not, can not, be better. It's just not possible. This song is about a middling 4. Typical Country Shlock¡!¡ Not Good
Jay would like that - has the cowbell!
@@Joseph-wf4qg Calm down...it's just a song
You really should also give her song Girls Lie Too a try ❤
The video is great!
Love this one too
Came here to suggest that!!
@@444dkmI'm saying I'm sorry.I saw your brown S.A. WYAR brown.Hey, does the song? Some girls do some girls So MA girls do.That's a song saw your brain
I always thought of MUST video.Would avert not the Confederate railroad? That's the group they do that. Also, we're in jave Tri chief Tr AS.H.Y trash confederate railroad do that song
Barbara Mandrell- The biggest female country star in country music in the late 70s and early 80s. She was the first female artist to win Entertainer of the Year at The ACMs in 1980. She even had her own variety series on NBC, Barbara Mandrell and the Mandrell Sisters. She could play steel guitar, alto saxophone, dobro, five-string banjo and bass. Her biggest hit is "Sleeping Single in a Double Bed." Other notable songs from her are "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool" and "(If Loving You Is Wong) I Don't Want To Be Right".
Yes do Barbara Mandrell!!! You are really missing out on a great female country singer!
"Girls lie too" and "I Wanna Do It All" are great songs by Terri.
"YOU'RE EASY ON THE EYES" by Terri Clark! Love it, the beat, and her spunkiness! 💗
This is how strong we ALL want our daughter’s to handle relationship issues!! Nothing better than a well raised, wise, strong female!!!!
You need to do Deana Carter's Did I Shave My Legs for This? One of my favorites:)
Mine too. Strawberry Wine is a good one as well.
I second Strawberry Wine. Amazing song.
and then Cletus T. Judd's response - Did I Shave My Back For This? 😄
Terri Clark is awesome and so underrated. My favorite song of hers is "She Didn't Have Time". 😎🎶🎧
Yes! That song should be recognized as a classic.
Another artist to check out from the 70's and 80's is Jessi Colter. Either solo ("I'm Not Lisa") or as a duet with her husband Waylon Jennings (Wild Side of Life/It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels"). I just found out that her first husband was the recently passed Duane Eddy.
Great post! Also her and Waylon doing their cover of "Suspicious Minds". Unreal era of music, especially in that genre.
I've tried to suggest her a couple of times. She is my favorite Outlaw! I've been listening to her music since I was born. ( I was born a year after the album came out. lol)
I love Terri Clark, one my favorites is her song Easy on the Eyes. It is a great song with a real fun video.
Love love love this song!
Terri Clark is gorgeous. Saw her first time & was like 😍. She looked like a dang model.
She also puts the whole "rock star" into country women! She chased a lot of poor cowboys to their smile on face doom lol.
You've reacted to so many songs it is hard to recommend someone you haven't done yet but I have to suggest Colin Raye. There are about 10 great great memorable songs he has done. My favorite is Not That Different which is song that hits me personally and is maybe the most heart wrenching song I have ever heard.
I love “Love, Me” by Collin Raye
Yes, Love Me is an epic song.
Terri Clark is an excellent singer and also a great guitar player.
Terri does some great stuff. Now you should listen to "I Just Wanna Be Mad For A While", or "Girls Lie Too"
“If I were you” is one of her best. Hope you get to listen to it.
Another couple songs by Terri are "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me" and "Northern Girl". ❤️🇨🇦
great reaction, other female Canadian artists to check out are Anne Murray-Snow Bird, Sass Jordan-Make you a Believer and Alana Myles-Black Velvet
Second the sass jordan
Her first single!
Another fantastic female country singer you've been sleeping on is "Lorrie Morgan!"
Some of her best songs are; "Something in Red", "What part of no", "Watch me", "Maybe not tonight", and, "If you came back from heaven" which she wrote after her husband, Keith Whitley died (you guys loved him, especially Jay).
How did I forget this? Love Terri Clark 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Another Canadian Country singer is Michelle Wright. Her big song was "Take it Like a Man". Other songs were "New Kind of Love", "Your Love", "Nobody's Girl" and a real tear jerker "He Would be 16".
Lori Morgan..."picture of me without you"! Another great 90's country ladies!
She has several really good songs, but a great one with a great video and message is "Everytime I Cry".
One of the best female country singers of all time, she had many hits in the 90's and early 2000's.
"Everytime I Cry" is a powerful song, and I remember watching the music video on CMT back in the day.
Terri was actually born here in Montreal about 3 1/2 years after me, but she moved to Calgary very early in her life (Montreal's loss).
A Montreal man with a Bruins logo. You must have some fun hockey nights with the guys
@@sha890 That's funny because my next door neighbor and best friend growing up in the 70s was a Montreal fan (So was his family), I took after my cousin who was a Bobby Orr fan, because he played hockey in a league I kind of looked up to him (He's 7 years older than me), I wanted to follow his lead, so that's why I am a Bruins fan to this day. I am also a Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. I love anything and everything Boston... EXCEPT anyone associated with NKOTB. I have my pride and the line had to be drawn.
@@derekwilkinson6920 New Kids, of course lol. That's awesome tho, and the Celts are still going strong. My Flames unfortunately, are on hard times
She calls Medicine Hat home not Calgary
@@sha890 So sorry about dem flames, love from Edmonton and the Conference Finals lol
Great video! - good to see y’all are doing great. Country for life! 🤠
She is Canadian, and has SO many amazing hits! I could name SO many but just know that, this is a rabbit hole that you guys will LOVE going down I promise!
Terri Clark is like one of my most favorite country music stars!! She is amazing!!❤
"When boy meets girl" is a really cute song of hers
For those who don't know, when she says, "Then I'd miss Donahue." She's referring to a very well-known talk show at the time this song came out. It was hosted by Phil Donahue and named after him. 😁
It's not some of them. It's everyone of the women in this here. CO UN T. R. Y country music. They are all super sexy. The all everyone of them could have been secret sleeper models. Sexy slipper secret supermodels for Victoria. Except our sign and country songs
Lorrie Morgan , widow of Keith Whitley.,song is something in red.
Yes! It’s such a good song!!
More Terri Clark please. The women in 90’s country music deserve your attention. Check them all out. If you like Terri, you’ll enjoy JoDee Messina. What a voice! Try “Bring on the Rain,” “Heads Carolina, Tails California.” “Bye Bye,” just for starters.
Our band used to play this song I totally forgot about it thank you for doing it it's a great song she also does a great version of poor poor pitiful me
Hard to believe this song is almost 30 years old. First time I seen it I was in love lol. There hasn’t been a day since that Terri Clark wasn’t my favorite female artist. In fact until Lainey Wilson came along there was no one even close
Girls Lie Too, Easy On The Eyes, Dirty Girl, Now That I Found You, Everytime I Cry. Gosh so many amazing songs. And her vid era remake of Brittney’s Hit Me Baby One More Time is killer.
Wonderful surprise
Edit: Just seen her version of Warren Zevon's Poor Poor Pitiful Me. Awesome. COWBELLS, Jay!
She sings a great song called "she didn't have time' it's slow but you're still like, yes girl!..it reminds me of one of my besties!..love your reactions!
KT Oslin -didn't expect it to go down this way-80s ladies. Runaway June-we were rich. Band Perry-done,don't let me be lonely, better dig two. Tina Arena-oh me oh my, heaven help my heart. Pam Tillis-river and the highway, spilled perfume. Jane Zhang-all of me. Lucianna Zogbi-thinking out loud. Lanco-greatest love story.Ingred Andress-more hearts than mine. Nicolette Larson-lotta love. KT Oslin - 80's Ladies
Good to see Terri Clark again. A great talent and a great sound. Thanks for this.
I love all her stuff. I have sent her in concert 12 times. Listen to more of her stuff please
Two of my favorite Terri Clark songs are You're Easy On The Eyes and Now That I Found You. I'm so happy you reacted to her!
Easy on the eyes is a banger song for sure!
How have I never heard of her? This is GREAT!
Maybe because she’s Canadian?
I've heard of her and recognize her, but I don't think I've ever heard any of her songs.
@@444dkm she was big in the states, and had many top 40 country hits.
@@kelqueen9998 she has a big catalog of great music.
Maybe you were listening to rap and crap...
Other great songs of Terri Clark are "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" , "Easy On The Eyes", "I Just Wanna Be Mad", "If I Were You" (slow song) and "Girls Lie Too"
Other 90's Country ladies to check out:
Faith Hill's version of "Piece Of My Heart" and "Wild ONe".
Jo Dee Messina -"Heads Carolina Tales California", "I'm Alright", "Bye Bye", "Stand Beside Me" and "Because You Love Me" (slow song)
Sara Evans- "No Place That Far" (with Vince Gill), "Born To Fly", "Cheatin'" and "A Fine Place To Start"
I love her song "If I were you." It's beautiful and tells a story. She's one of my favorites
Suzy Boggus from the 90s "Someday Soon" "Outbound Plane" she's still performing !!!
Just saw her at the grand ol opry4 months ago she's awesome
Been waiting for you to discover Terri Clark, seen her in concert a few times. She has many great songs for you both to listen too. She is a great Canadian artist, thanks for that. 😎🍺☮️🇨🇦
Nice song my first time hearing. It shows confidence.
I’ve seen Terri Clark back in the 90’s when she opened for George Strait, she’s so good
Yes!!! Terri is Canadian GOLD - and this is an excellent starting point - one of her very BEST. You MUST do the official video for She Didn't Have Time - will melt your heart like butter. And Northern Girl is all about her Canadian pride - it's awesome! Cheers from Ontario!! :)
Some good 90's country right there. Just the right amount of independent sass for this guy!
I'll mention again that, Amber, you'll definitely appreciate Barbara Mandrell's "I Was Country When Country Wasn't Cool."
Clark currently hosts Country Gold with Terri Clark on country radio.
Try Martina McBride-Love's The Only House and Whatever You Say
Faith Hill-Breathe and The Secret of Life
Tricia Yearwood-Walkaway Joe and The Song Remembers When
The Judds-Turn It Loose and Girls Night Out
So many amazing female country singers from the 80's and 90's!
Love her!
If I Were You....is a good Terri song
Love her!! Try “Just The Same”, “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me”, “Emotional Girl” & “Now That I’ve Found You” from Terri Clark!!
Oh Yeah! Great song.❤️✌🏻🎶
And cool fact she did this video by her home town in Alberta
She grew up there but was born in Montreal.
No Fear is a definite must!
Tracy Chapman singing as part of a concert for Nelson Mandela singing "Get Up !Stand Up!"; Fantastic, also with Peter Gabriel, Bruce Springsteen & Youssou N'Dour
I love that you mention the "Traditional sound" and her "country twang"
She was born and raised in Montreal Canada! lol
It's a sound she picked up singing country music. It really does suit her, but you should hear her when she's doing interviews
Terri Clark is amazing. I hope you do more from her. Girls Lie Too, She Didn't have Time, I Just Wanna be Mad.
I know y'all enjoyed The Judds, but Wynonna Judd did some solo stuff 80's - 90's I think y'all would like to. Such as "I Saw the Light", "No One Else on Earth" or "Tell Me Why". She also did a duet with Clint Black called "A Bad Goodbye" worth checking out
Great suggestions ❤😊
This goes back to the mid 80s, but Reba McEntire’s early hit “somebody should leave” is a good one!
Oh yeah that Is a good song
I remember when this came out and watched it on CMT. Its still an absolute banger.
I like Terri Clark. Another feisty female is Mindy McCreedy. She has a song called “Guys do it all the time.” I know Amber will like that song.
Im so glad you played Smith- baby its you! Try Dwight Yokum ,Guitars and Cadillacs!!!
I saw Terry when she was on tour with Reba and they were both incredible live.
I LOVE her song "Everytime I Cry". It's a song about DV. I'm a survivor and I just love that song. I think that you'd like it.
Love Terri Clark. "Boy meets Girl" is another song I think you two will like!
Seen her in concert. Opend for George strait... and got autograph from her
Never hear this before and love being introduced to it here.
But while this is off topic, I couldn't help notice the second or two image of a hawk landing at 1:50 (at least in the RUclips clip). What's notable is thats a Harris Hawk. Most clips of raptors used in media are eagles, red-tailed hawks, and the occasional owl. But this species is a highly unusual hawk from the southwestern part of North America, and a good part of South America. It is known to be very smart, even hunting in groups cooperatively. Birders, and outdoorsman from the western areas are familiar with it, but many have never heard of it. I find it fitting that this bird has found ways to be smarter to not just survive, but to thrive under challenging conditions, not unlike Terri Clark's reaction to her guy leaving her.
Speaking of Canadian female artists, Anne Murray is like the godmother of Canadian country/folk/pop. Check her out do “Love Song”. Kenny Loggins was a writer for it and released it in early 70’s. Anne covered it and released shortly after. Check it out please🙏🏼
😁
Anne Murray was never really country, more just folk and pop. That country covered her was more about the dearth of exposure for the real country music bands out west in the Toronto centric Canadian industry.
@@user-sm3ii5dk1u well she won a Grammy Award in 1974 for “Best COUNTRY Vocal Performance “. Also “Country Female Vocalist of The Year in 1974, 1975, & 1976. Country Music Academy song of the year in 78. RPM Country Award for “Top Country Female Singer and Canadian Country Artist of the Year in 79. The Country music awards kept coming for the next decade or so. It bad for someone who isn’t a “Country Artist! 😳
@@robrobertson4619 She wasn't country & the awards are all about Toronto & friends of TO...
@@user-sm3ii5dk1u OK 🤣
"I Wanna Do It All" and "I Just Wanna Be Mad" are also great songs by her!
Terri Clark is fun and I know you'll LOVE💞 her video for Terri Clark - Girls Lie Too There are special guest appearances in this video and the song is really awesome.
Donahue lol. That datea this song perfectly
"Girls Lie Too" and "I Just Wanna be Mad" are great, too.
Terri Clark is my absolute favorite female country artist. She is stunningly beautiful, marvelous green eyes and absolute fire. She has some many fantastic hits. We saw her live at a county fair a few years ago and she was fantastic in concert as well. Terri Clark songs are many and amazing. Her cover of "Poor Poor Pitiful Me" is fantastic. "I Just Wanna Be Mad", "Girls Lie Too", "Emotional Girl", "Twang Thang", "A Little Gasoline", "You're Easy on the Eyes", "One of the Guys", and "I Just Called to Say Goodbye" all fantastic Terri Clark songs!!!! You reacted to one Lee Ann Womack song check out "I'll Think of a Reason Later" or "A Little Past Little Rock" or "The Preacher Won't Have to Lie". Thanks for getting to Terri, you won't be disappointed by any of her work.
She is a great choice for female Friday.
Lets keep going on her great list of tunes.
I'm not a huge country fan, but there is cream that rises to the top.
Terry is one of those.
I highly recommend "I Just Called To Say Goodbye". It is an uplifting song about being true and striking out for something new.
Terri Clark "The World Needs a Drink", "Would Have Found You Anyway" and "I Just Wanna Be Mad" are all worht checking out.
Her song If I Were You is so damn good!
Check out Dottie West singing either I'm gonna put you back on the Rack or Lesson in Leaving. Dottie was a fire storm in county in the 60s-80s she did some powerful duets with Kenny Roger's. Such a great but under rated artist.
In case you're wondering, she is a tall drink of water at 5'11" tall!! Normally, most female country singers are no taller than 5'6" or so, but I'm happy to see this from a skyscraper of a lady!!
Glad y’all finally got to Terri Clark; I’ve been suggesting this for awhile.👍👍 “Girls Lie Too” is another of hers worthy of checking out! Another beautiful lady from Canada; this one with her trademark 10 gallon hat!
I had such a crush on her when she hit the radio. lol
My fav song of Terri's - which happens to be my wedding song is "Now That I've Found You". Please play - you'll love it!!!
Please consider doing a old song that is relevant today. Anne Murray, "A little good news".
Mindy McCready - A Girl's Gotta Do (What A Girl's Gotta Do) very similar vibe
Jo Dee Messina - Bye Bye
Also similar vibe
Again the 90s country is good I got married in the 90s I miss those days
Tracy Lawrence is a 90's country singer. Amber would love If The World Had Front Porch.
Mila Mason, Jessica Andrews Mindy McCready, Aaron Tippin, Suzy Bogus, Clay walker. Ty Herndon, little Texas are just some good ones
Boggus.
Also Please don't forget to check out:
Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man - Candy Man (Both Great Horns !!) Also - Lady Marmalad
Annie Lenox (Eurythmics) - Would I Lie to You - I Need a Man - Thorn in My Side
Gwen Stefanie - It's My Life - What You Waiting For
Shikira - When ever Where ever - Objection Tango
