I love this and love Josh’s playing. I feel like the 4 on the floor with syncopated rimshots during “message in a bottle” is a really important element of the song he missed the mark on. He was doing too much with the high hat and kick stutter ghost note thing.
The tom phrasing that happens during the quieter phase at 7:25 and following, which is then repeated/adapted with tom/snare in the finale, is just immaculate.

So cool to see such a contagious enthusiasm from him ! Josh seems to be such a nice guy, I guess I have to give a shot at Coheed and Cambria more than I did previously ;).
just saw Coheed in Austin great show
Love Josh. I was so happy when he returned to Coheed. I know that was a whole lifetime ago. This dood is such a sick drummer.
I love this and love Josh’s playing. I feel like the 4 on the floor with syncopated rimshots during “message in a bottle” is a really important element of the song he missed the mark on. He was doing too much with the high hat and kick stutter ghost note thing.
Put his own flavor on that part. I thought it was fire.
The tom phrasing that happens during the quieter phase at 7:25 and following, which is then repeated/adapted with tom/snare in the finale, is just immaculate.
This is incredibly funny as during the recording of IKS, one of the tracks’ demo names was “Police” 😂😂😂
lmao yeah Favor House is just "Truth Hits Everybody"! Blew my mind when I figured that out
There is so much The Police in Coheed, it is insane to see how Josh can both honor Copeland but still give it some Eppard-ness! The Police's legacy is not to be understated. And Coheed is a clear contender on following a path The Police trailblazed.
Dude was feeling that song. 100%!
If you only knew how much these two drummers (and bands) have meant to me. Thank you for this content. So good.
It is mind blowing how much talent it takes to do this.
I liked that groove he added in on the end, the way it keeps rolling out.
