- Every Wrench I've used within a 10year period as an Automotive Mechanic/Technician. Some I've had for 10 years, others for around 6 years & some more recent with the last year or so. Such brands include Icon, Snap-On, MAC, Armstrong, Huskey, MATCO, Cornwell, Craftsman, & Gearwrench. I have put together an amazon affiliate list of different styles with different purposes that you may find to be a time saver. Hope you enjoyed today's video. If you did consider subsrcibing for future content. If you like today's video thumbs up it. if you didn't thumbs down, share if you want to share. Tell us what brand and how long you've had your wrenches for and which ones you felt dis-satisfied with. Cheers!

It seems in AUTOMOTIVE, you can never have enough of one type of tool.
It's true for the most part.
The knowledge in this video shouldn’t be free! Thank you!
tekton recently released made in usa crowfoot wrenches. I haven't used them, but I figure i spread the words since they are made in usa
TEKKY-TAWN!
One of my favourite tools is a single vessel Philips 2 screwdriver great for most Philips heads , and a set of flex head aviation spanners there was no 12 mm so brought it separate it cost nearly £40 but i hate to skip sizes.
Me too bro. I have the same feeling when it comes to mix matched sets as well.
Hello again Justin
Thank you for another Great Video. Two thoughts for you. 1) On the angle head wrenches, as a aircraft aircraft mechanic, I bought a set from Harbor Freight (HF). I think I paid $16.99 for a twelve piece set over 10 years ago. I haven't broken one yet. This is not my every day tool. 2) Torque adapters could possibly get into places your wrench cannot. I haven't seen these at HF yet, this one of those tools I'm always on the lookout for but can never seem to find!! Anyhow, thank you again
I remember buying those Cornwell adjustable wrenches about 10 years ago when they were sold under the Pittsburgh Pro label. Exact same set, the price was a lot easier on the wallet back then.
Idk if you scooped up the double box end ratcheting wrenches from Icon aka Harbor Freight, but I love those things! Haven’t had a single issue, fit all the nuts and bolts perfectly. Ratcheting mechanisms are smooth as well. Well made product from them. Obviously GearWrench offers a little more bang for your buck but regardless.
I got those too, 20% off coupon and they are great tools. I understand they are made in the same factory as the Matco and Mountain’s.
Love the ratchet wrenches has a set till someone stole em off my truck years ago 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻 good stuff broheimian 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻
Thanks Justin! For another great video!
Great review
As someone else has said about certain tools: “You may rarely need it, but when you need it, you REALLY need it.” Yup. I’ve got a lot of tools like that. My wife says (with some truth), that I’ll buy a tool I don’t need just in case a friend may need it sometime.
I still have, and use, my first Vise-Grip that my father bought for me in the early 1960’s. That’s gone through a lot. I’ve got many tools for decades, including my Rockwell power tools. Just need brushes now and then, new cords and a cleaning. Though, my battery DeWalts have taken over for most things.
Justin, very thorough cool video. Glad to hear that the GEARWRENCH ratcheting wrenches back in August of 2010 at 12:36 are still working strong! 🤜🤛⚙️🔧
I'm very happy with the quality you put into your products & the fair pricing you offer for guys like myself that are wanting quality without breaking the bank. I appreciate your support. Thanks for your comment. Cheers!
Gearwrench stubbies!
Thanks for mentioning my channel 😁👍 i really appreciate it
Thanks for the great reviews. I enjoy your channel very much. Maybe we can have you on tonight’s live stream if you’re interested. Starting around 6:00 PM Pacific standard time. DM me on Instagram if you would like to join in
Justin I enjoy your channel, after my separation I had to start all over with my working toolset still building it . But I appreciate your reviews and have purchased tools based on your options. Keep up the great job.
That is awesome! Keep Grinding My Friend :)
Just gave the Matco Man a hefty payment yesterday, and you just reminded me of the hex wrenches they offer. I’ve need a “turbo wrench” mainly for the convenience on stripped drain plugs. Welp looks like I’ll be sliding onto his truck again next week. 😅
You need more wrenches😆
Good review. I have alot of the craftsman usa wrenches better than the china. Have some husky, blackhawk and kobalt. Grearwrench and texton are starting the invasion. When working on front wheel drive you can never have too many different style wrenches.
True story
15mm Distributor wrench works good on old front wheel drive motor mounts especially Cadillac 90ish that 6 point 5/16 brake bleeder wrench works good on differential carrier pin bolts as well .
Justin Dow.. Harbor Freight recently opened another store here closer to me so I went to check it out. I was looking for some sort of case to put my camera gear in to keep it protected when not in use. I was looking at the Icon tools in person and I have to say they look really good especially the wrenches. I wouldn't mind trying them out..
I just got the Icon extra long reversible ratcheting wrenches (Mountain) and they are really nice! 20% off using a coupon and they have the icon lifetime warranty! I was surprised with the excellent fitment of the spline drive.
I have to admit your reviews have never let me down. Impressive collection overall! Great vid!
Glad to hear it! Thanks Brotherman Cheers!
I just bought the matco 30" flex head ratchet. I'm planning a long term review on it for my channel. Have you used any of these long ratchets? If so what are your thoughts?
The Chinese Craftsman double box set sale for 250$onlin and the made in USA sale 500$ 4 times more than original price and and the snap on sell for five times lesd then the original price online can u recommend more good wrench
I have some Craftsman wrenches and sockets along with some husky wrenches which are made in the USA I have to look at the markings I have no idea who makes them for husky
Man that's a lot of wrenches!
I Know Right... Gosh, but they have save my butt a time or two that's for sure.
Late to the video but along with the updated Jamestown tour, could you do a review? I stepped out of a 5 drawer blue point into the same cart you have and I have a few nitpicky negatives about it, would love to hear your input oo
Great video. Nice assessment on a wide range of wrenches.
I'm curious how the generic brand M11 batteries are holdin up so far?
Sunex crows feet look cool.
yo is that an Iraq service ribbon sticker on your service cart? and a CIB on the US general?
Looking forward to the Gearwrench review 💪🏽
9/16th is 14.05mm sfa dif
Awesome video dude. Great selection. I've seen 1 person i knew with Wright Grip wrenches & he enjoyed using them
Armstrong made some great quality adjustable wrenches too
That they did. Cheers!
What really sucks is when you buy a tool that you didn’t have for a job thinking you’ll definitely need it... then never use it again
lol I know all too well. Cheers
What classes did you take at community college that gave you 50% tool truck discount? And was it for a the trucks or just snap on?
Way back when the schools had a program with the big three tool truck companies and it was mostly on sets that they built for the programs and not just any tools on a truck and i had to order my stuff through a corporate rep
If you were in the automotive program at any community college or trade school you fill out a form through Snap-On’s website and you get 50% off of their tools same thing with MATCO and I’m pretty sure the same thing with Cornwell and Mac Tools as well. We also got a 25% discount at any neighboring Sears at that time frame as well. The most of those stores have closed
Can you do an update on your 56 us general?
I was literally going to stop half way through the video to ask about how the icon ratcheting wrenches are while I was thinking about it cause I have a set of gearwrench standard length ratcheting wrenches and need more leverage sometimes and i don't have a tool truck that comes to my shop as of right now and harbor freight is 15 min away. Nice video btw🍻 cheers
Icon is superior to gearwrench
Drop a link for that CIB.
Digging the bullnose F150 👍
Hey justin like the video! I’m getting into mechanics and i begin school soon. what’s the best one stop shop for buying tools online? i don’t have a local dealer that i know of and the closest thing to a tool store is lowe’s. amazon seems to have a lot of stuff but i’ve always been sketchy about buying from amazon i don’t wanna get fake stuff. is that just dumbass fear i have or should i just pick everything up off there and not worry about it. i’ve also heard about some companies not doing warranties from stuff off amazon
I have gotten plenty of things off Amazon. My dad always told me as a rule of thumb if they’re willing to ship it through Amazon prime which is two day shipping and it has the company name as far as the seller than you should be good to go
In short the Amazon pretty much is a one stop shop. They have everything most any other tool truck has for the exception of some of the higher end stuff like Snap-On but even some of the stuff that Snap-On re-brands can be purchased from Amazon as well
I think you’ll appreciate some of the links that I’ve shared and saw my videos I’ll give you a better idea of what’s out there what I’ve used and what I recommend
Love the intro keep it up bro
I do the paint and engraving on my tools I use sublime green, when I started out. The shop in knows if its green its mine. Im passining tools down to the young techs mostly cheapos and modified stuff i don't buy with some good stuff for them
This video represents why I'm subbed to this channel.
No fluff, no clickbait.
Honest advice and product reviews.
That intro was painfully long
At least I warned you in the beginning. He could’ve skipped ahead if you wanted to.
@@JustinDowDIYcentralhighway yep thats nice of ya to tell us how long the intro is if we choose to skip it.
I dig the music, actually. But how hard is it to double tap your screen a couple times? C’mon man. Smh.
Hello Justin
Enjoys the channel and the tool reviews.
I purchased a set of angle head wrenches from a little known company named extreme torque they are made in the USA and well made. Might be worth looking into as we all know those snap on wrenches are super expensive. And for the obstruction wrenches or half moons as they are called sunex makes some real nice ones and gearwrench makes a half moon.
Nice video 👍
It’s great to have access to such a large variety of wrenches! I am really liking the extra long versions fixed and flexhead they make a lot of jobs much easier!
Good looking tools audio a little unclear
Are those matco wrenches double flex head reversible?
If you flip them but there is no reversible switch
I got the icon (20% off) with the reverse switch. They are a very nice set with a great warranty.
Love these long term tool reviews, man!
Thanks Brotherman 🍻🤙
Harbor freight credit cards are out at all stores. Thoughts? Video? Like to hear you opinion
I use so much metric seems like! Love the videos Justin!!!
Nice CIB man, what unit?
Boom! My man. First one to comment.
23:27, i remember when you got those.
The only metric wrenches and sockets I own is a complete set to 19mm everything else a standard is going to fit perfectly never had a problem. Save you'r money kids you dont need every metric and every standard size.
All depends what your working on. You never know what's going to come into the shop on any given day.
Who sticks to only what “you need” when it comes to tools? lol
For the Love of Tools is a good channel. Like his content.
