10/25/2022 I connected BOTH blue/white wires together and then connected them to the red power wire. People were asking to just connect one or connect both. I’m not sure if connecting just 1 blue/white wire will work, but I connected both together with no issues. I bought an $8 12v to 5v converter on Amazon. I connected the red wire from the harness to the red wire on the adapter further up the wire. Then, further down the wire I connected the harness red wire to the stereo’s red wire. I wrapped the two blue/white wires together and connected it to the converters yellow wire. Then connected both the converters black wires to ground. People were asking whether to connect both blue/white wires or just 1. Connecting both DOES WORK GREAT with the 12v/5v converter. Please like so that people in the future can see this. Ps hello from 10/25/2022 😂
I've scrolled thru a million videos and looked at a million color coded charts that might tell me why my subs aren't hittin like they should after putting a new ddin head unit. So here I am again, got the radio out for the 63rd time in a week tryin to figure this wiring and knowing something is missing and these 2 blue w white stripe wires GOTTA power them amps but where do they go???????????? And then I saw your video amongst all the thousands. I couldn't believe it when I heard you say" 2 blue and white wires" Oh happy day Fella....oh ......happy day😁
What kind of radio are you switching to? Not 100% sure on your question i just hooked up the blue 12vwire to the red 12v radio wire so everytime I switch my ignition on and off the radio goes on and off with it
Yeah I just put a Pioneer head unit in my 06 Mustang GT the radio is staying on so I need to find a 12 volt blue wire I hope my red accessory wire from my radio to the blue wire so to go on and off when I switch the ignition right thanks if you have time to get back to me
@@b.t.bdailyhustle9153 sorry man just saw this but yes if you wire it to your red power wire it'll switch on and off everytime you turn your ignition on or off. Hope you got it!
hey just watched your video and i am having a hard time finding the amp wire that you showed in your video none of my wires are blue and white do you know of any other way to make a new radio work with the factory shaker amps?
I see one blue and white wire attatched to the red to red connection. Where's the other blue and white wire? Is it plugged into the 12v-5v converter? Which is then plugged into the head units harness?

Dude I love you videos I know you dont have much subs but the stuff your doing now is awesome keep doing this and BOOM! Your going to be more popular than Bob Ross

Me too please
You guys got it?
If he has beer while working you know he's good lol I have a issue with my amp it's confusing
Thank you so much man! It’s amazing how people upload “install guides” and don’t even show the most essential part, which is matching EVERY WIRE

What did you do with the two wires??
Where you get the blue cable from?
Can you explain how and where to hook up the 12v to 5v converter cable and what that is exactly?

you dont have to have the 12v to 5v, it just will make a noise when you crank and kill your vehicle. It works fine without it.
@@TM-ox4kd he's talking about the adapter that stops it from popping
You are awesome, that was exacly what I have been trying to find. It works now. Thanks.
No problem, glad it helped!
Hey man I can not figure this out everything works but the subs are you talking about the wires from the new harness or the car harness

Good shit, I just installed it and it worked, that shit was too loud 😂
Any idea where I could get a 12v to 5v converter on a Sunday?
Best Buy maybe, or a radio & sub/customization shop should have them. If not order it off Amazon or eBay!
Can you help me find a power converter for my radio, my kit didn’t come with it
You might be able to plug in the radio antenna cable if you have small hands, I did. Or you need the adapter cable.
i have an 05 and have been afraid to tear into it.... 🤔
I have two cables Blue/white I need to connect both to the red? thank you
Did u ever figure it out?
@@kiingmj441any luck?
