Love it! I started with a CNC router and some nine months later added a laser to my arsenal as well. I just wish I had gone straight to a 20 watt, but what did I know back then - I'll be upgrading some time early next year. Great video!! 👊 Boy, I should have taken notes... I am a child of the 80's... hmm...

You can play with the focus depth a little and you might get through that 1/2" walnut. It's a good machine as you've found and a great addition to a woodshop!

You're right. I'm still relatively new to my laser, so I need to learn how to fine tune.

I actually bought a Glowforge before i ever thought about buying a CNC. But after doing alot of research that's when i decided to buy a Onefinity. They both compliment each other in things i try to do.

That's very true. Both have their place for different purposes.

Another great video. Thank you. No idea on the spelling, and I was around in the 80s, 70s... 😊

How well do plywood pieces edge glue when cut from a laser? Any issues at all from the blackened edges? Thanks!

Never really had a need to edge glue laser cut pieces.

HelloI watched your video and I could really use your advice. I honestly do not know anything about laser cutter and engraver for wood. I'm more of a woodturner, but I'm interested in wanting to know more. As a beginner like myself, I surely don't need the most expensive machine. What would you recommend for starting out? I love creating projects out of wood and adding designs to my turnings.

Appreciate you reaching out. If you're just starting out, there are quite a few starter laser engravers that you can buy for less than $200. Most of those 5-10 watt lasers are great for engraving, but won't cut much. Aufero and Ortur are decent brands. Then, if you find that you need more power, you can always upgrade.
