Eloy Jimenez throws shade at the Chicago White Sox despite always disappointing when he was here

- Former Chicago White Sox DH Eloy Jimenez is now with the Baltimore Orioles. He did not have the most flattering things to say about his former team. The biggest problem with his comments is he took no responsibility for how he contributed toward being the biggest disappointing player this century.
Host Todd Welter discusses why he thinks Eloy reached that distinction and why you should be at least irked by his recent comments. Then Todd discusses that it would be great if the White Sox signed Orioles pending free agent Anthony Santander in the offseason. My friends who are not Sox fans would be in disbelief everytime I spoke about Mr.Glass (Eloy). I couldn't deal with it and even if he kills it with Baltimore, I don't care. He absolutely needed to go.
Having a "core" of Eloy Jimenez, Yoan Moncada, Tim Anderson and Luis Robert Jr. was a disaster simply because they as a group was lazy, not team oriented and injury prone. I don't think the Sox could've picked 4 more selfish players to become their core. But the Sox ultimately got what they paid for. Reinsdorf tried to be slick by signing these guys to dirt cheap contracts hoping to get maximum production at a minimum price. They ended up paying all of them for practically nothing, so he got what he deserved. They don't even have a winning playoff series to show for it.

Even when we were winning we were losing -Eloy Jimenez that quote bothers me the most son of the mask is my favorite movie - Eloy Jimenez when he said that we should have traded him. That movie was made for the minds of children.
I see that potential in Baldwin, but not as much in Vargas. A good glove at 3rd without a bat is just another Moncada…(minus the matching yellow batting gloves and cleats).
Put Moncada back playing third at all this year and that will put the final nail in my coffin.

@@JDubs997 I do, he was a free agent signing and an established player signed to a three year deal. Eloy was supposed to be a cornerstone player that was supposed to be bring numerous parades.
The Mets' two games not reflected in the 1962 standings were both against the Houston Colt .45s (now the Astros) in September. One game was a 7-7 tie, the other was a rainout. To make up the game would have required the two teams, who already had a doubleheader scheduled in the last week of the season, to play two more doubleheaders in the same week on top of that; since neither team was a contender by any stretch of the imagination, the National League just allowed the games to not count in the final standings.
As I type this on September 3, 2024,, the White Sox are down 7-0 to the Orioles in the third inning. If the White Sox lose this game, it means they will have a 31-109 record with 22 games left to play. They would have to play above .500 ball to avoid setting a new major league record for losses in a single season, which was set by the Mets in their maiden season, 62 years ago.
I'm sorry, but I doubt the White Sox could sustain playing .500 ball over the remaining 22 games. I'm a Giants' fan, since I was born and have lived most of life within 100 miles of San Francisco. As a child, I remember the banners in San Francisco welcoming the Giants to town in 1958 and thrilled to homeruns by Willie Mays and Willie McCovey. I moaned when Bobby Richardson caught McCovey's line drive that was screaming toward center field and victory to end the 1962 World Series. I also moaned the year the Giants lost 100 games for the only time in their storied history. I celebrated when the Giants won three world championships in five years. Such is the experience of every baseball who ever lived.
I offer you White Sox fans my condolences and commiserate with you. Next season can't be worse than this season has been. The Sox can only get better. Be ready for that season when the pennant next comes to the Southside, for someday it will.

Why is Yoan Moncada not playing? I know he went out five months ago with a bruised thigh. His rehab went into a tailspin when he felt mild discomfort at times!? He's getting 25 million a year! and were getting pummelled. I get paid paid pennies compared to that and I'm in discomfort everyday.
Because he got his money and beyond that he simply doesn't care. That's why.

Why do you want the useless Moncada playing he is not going to ever hopefully never play again for the White Sox. The only thing good about this disaster of a season is that Moncada got hurt and has not played for most of the year get rid of him he sucks. Go sox
