Most Google services, from Gmail to RUclips to Google Drive, suffered a mass outage lasting over an hour on Monday. Across the world, users complained they were unable to access emails or were logged out of ongoing Google Meet sessions. While Google restored all services within an hour of the outage, by then, the crash had become one of the biggest social media trends - and sent panic waves across businesses in many parts of the world.
What happened on Monday?
A Google spokesperson attributed the outage of “approximately 45 minutes” to “an internal storage quota issue”. The statement said “services requiring users to log in experienced high error rates during this period”. “All services are now restored”, it said, apologising to everyone affected and promising a “thorough follow up review to ensure this problem cannot recur in the future.”
Google first acknowledged there was an issue in relation to Gmail, and for some time, the status page showed red for most services. “We’re aware of a problem with Gmail affecting a majority of users. The affected users are unable to access Gmail. We will provide an update by 12/14/20, 5:42 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change,” said an update on the Google Workspace Status dashboard, posted at 5.25PM IST.

Befor Jio, i payed everymonth idea or airtel 1gb of 3g data for 154rs for one month only..
And normal fon calls done buy suparate rc.
Totally monthly i payed around 300 - 400rs Rc per month.
Now im using jio sim and paying
Just 599rs = 84 days..
(Daily 2gb data, u.l.c jio to jio,
2000 calls to other networks)
And iam using Extra Spl.Rc 101rs too, for 12gb of 4g data till expiry date,
Jio is very Good network than other companys..

Companies growing larger than life like is highly risky for any economy. Competition must be encouraged and sustained. Big Tech companies should be tamed and suitable action/laws to be introduced to put a ceiling on their expansion and operations.

Well said. Monopoly should not be there. We should have more services like Google. For example, some 20 years back, we have only BSNL(DOT). In those days Telephone connection was a prestigious, besides costly affair. Now because of privatization, many companies have come up and one can choose any service with affordable rates. When competition is there, it is more beneficial to public to have services with lesser prices.

People should discuss why private sector is not so successful in providing cheap health care and education in spite of competition, though it is successful in telecom , electronics and auto mobiles.
