So nice of you to handle the customers equipment with the same gloves you use to clean the trap with.

the customers? you mean employees? Customers don’t use the sink when they go into a restaurant.

Kills me that trap manufacturers still make steel traps. The Plastic ones are so much better. I've only seen a hand full last over 15 years or so. But most don't make it past 10. Unless they have one of those old ass steal traps that are built like a tank.

Plastic breaks, painted steel is better

Breaks if it's getting the crap beat out of it yes. But it'll never rust.

@@gaminjunctiontv5534 steel thats painted and has primer on it wont rust at all. Plastic breaks over time due to bacteria slowly eating away at it and the weight of all the grease will eventually cause a crack in it.

@@res6696 steel traps I run into regardless of manufacturer, rust. Usually the lids and cross members go first within 10 years. Any plastic traps I've cleaned hold up. Only time I've seen a broken plastic trap, was when it was in ground. Usually the kids would split from people stepping on them. Maybe they make them differently regionally.

We did 2 of them today. Used to absolutely hate doing them. We picked up this new portable pumping unit that can remove 55 gallons within a minute or two so it makes it so quick and generally clean.

I'm going to upload the 2nd one in a bit. Got a little bit of grease on my pants during clean up, man does it stink the rest of the day 😂
