The feature I love the most about this car is the rear window that opens independently from the door. just like in the old Ford Explorer. My brother used to have the old square explorer it's a great truck. That feature is great and missing in these new vehicles of today. I much prefer a wide and straight rear window than those minuscule rear windows and rears full of angles that modern cars have

So looking forward to seeing these everywhere and I hope in the future I can pick one up used for a good deal some day. @@akuma_mx5 When I say "similar", I mean more or less the same as the Wrangler on every off-road obstacle. Not as puny as new Chevy Blazer, but not as extreme as, say, a Trophy Truck.

@@EVsSuck777 You missed his point entirely. What are you talking about sir is the real question. The wrangler is a purpose built Off-roader, the Bronco isn't, hence the IFS and fixed windshield. So what he was implying was that, since the OP has prioritized having a vehicle that looks like it's an off-roader but still retains it's road car qualities, he is better off just saving a ton of money and buying instead the Bronco Sport which is just a FORD escape rebadged with a new Exterior.
The question I have about the Bronco, is whether Ford will support it for the long term, like Jeep has done for decades with the Wrangler. History suggests they won’t (because they didn’t), and it will simply be a flash in the pan. No doubt they’ll get a ton of sales initially, but I’m not sold on this being a long-term model.
Long term support will depend on what you mentioned. Will the Bronco be a long term sustainable model or will sale numbers plummet after this initial wave wears off? It's too early to tell.

@@GhostlyGhille "fine" is a matter of perspective. The 10R80 is more robust than the 10R60, so while it may be "fine" it would be a lot finer if it had the better trans. It just seems silly to give it to the Ranger, but not the Bronco.
Jeep guy here, good review on the road but I need to see it on the trails, I want to see the clearance and break over angles. I want the competition and I think Ford through the gaunlet down which is great! My two cents: pros.. production 35s ready to take "most" trails so you don't have to do much to make it decently capable - IFS has advantages especially on road and higher speed off road or back road cons: IFS is expensive to lift after market.. off roaders are going 37 and 40s now. no V8 yet.. I think also one big pro.. the interior is wide open above the drivers head unlike the Jeep which has a big cross member in the 4 door adn added speakers which can be annoying and get in the way. Overall I like the "real" Bronco and when/if I go to buy another Jeep I will compare this to the Wrangler. Besides that I want to see it out on the trails so it will be fun to see it out there!
IFS has no advantage off road. They put 35s on a his bronco with no space in the wheel wells. And if your are a real off roader you can’t go higher then 35s without a ton of other upgrades to make everything strong enough. You can go to the mall on 37s but you’ll break stuff on the trail. The bronco has the same suspension as the Ford ranger. no one is taking Ford rangers off road
@@RougaRouKJun I have zero skin in the game on this as I am a jeeper and prefer solid axels for off road for durability and making lifting cheaper and easier BUT.. IFS I would argue does have a place off road depending on what type of terrain or off roading you intend on doing. IF a new buyer looking at the Bronco with 35s may not want it for rock crawling and a new Jeep comes with 32s so it will appeal to some buyers off the lot to be ready and go. Seriously, Ford killed it with this. People who want to off-road should be happy! I personally don’t so I’ll stick to a Cayenne.

Smart move having the mirrors mounted to the body, not the doors.
Unless you are into wheeling/off-road. But we know bronco owners won’t be doing any of that
You don’t even use them bro when the doors are off. they make loads of accessories for that anyways try again
And most of the time on trails you don’t want mirrors that will break off.
I take the doors off my Gladiator. The aftermarket mirrors vibrate too much on the highway.
Wrangler has a drop windshield so no mirrors on cowl - but why do people need to lower their windshield in a mall parking lot.
Way better looking and more power than the v6 Jeep!

Loving all this competition, Jeep counters with its extreme recon package with 35s , 4.56 or 4.88 gears . 1.5 lift and 12.9 clearance, and with a hemi and diesel option this competition is hot !!

Man, I'm in love with this Bronco!
Sport mode with the burning earth, amazing boys. Good review
The feature I love the most about this car is the rear window that opens independently from the door. just like in the old Ford Explorer. My brother used to have the old square explorer it's a great truck. That feature is great and missing in these new vehicles of today. I much prefer a wide and straight rear window than those minuscule rear windows and rears full of angles that modern cars have
My family had a 2002 Explorer V6 back in the day with the independent rear window, a great feature. The pre 2011 Explorers were great trucks.
Sooooo….just like the Jeep Wrangler has had forever? 😂
I like how balanced it looks, wheelbase wise and given the growing need to possibly cover yourself, I like that rail on the dash to use with a GoPro and/or dash cam. People be actin' a fool these days, maybe more than previous times...that we know of, hence, dash cams!

So looking forward to seeing these everywhere and I hope in the future I can pick one up used for a good deal some day. One thing I've always disliked about the Wrangler is how rough the ride is, it seems this has a more road-friendly ride while still offering similar off-road capabilities as the Wrangler. That's a win-win in my book.
It offers off road not"similar" ford took a few Broncos out to the Rubicon trail to one up Wrangler Rubicons 🤙
@@akuma_mx5 When I say "similar", I mean more or less the same as the Wrangler on every off-road obstacle. Not as puny as new Chevy Blazer, but not as extreme as, say, a Trophy Truck.
Thats what makes a jeep fun is the ruffer ride. If you want comfortable get a toyota or honda suv
@@kevinhood9781 I agree, rugged off-roader shouldn't be expected to ride smoothly. However, the problem with a rough-riding Jeep Wrangler is that 90%+ of the actual driving most consumers will do is on smooth, clear, paved roads. Rarely do people actually go off-road in these things. Be nice to have a comfortable ride for the 90%+ of the time you're driving it.
October 2022 put in my order for a 2023. Gonna get it god knows when, but I'm excited. I test drove a badlands and loved it. But I want the outer banks, well equipped.

I'd rather have a fixed windshield with safety systems rather than one id never fold down
Then the Sport is for you
@@leecampbell2477 What are you talking about? Both the Bronco and Bronco Sport have a fixed windshield. The OP is saying he’d rather the Bronco over the Wrangler
This jeep is the mother of customisation.
🙄🙄
That might be what you want as a buyer though
Then just hold off on your purchase for 25 years, simple.
They will support for long term, they already have official clubs for Bronco owners and locations catered to Broncos and events
Long term support will depend on what you mentioned. Will the Bronco be a long term sustainable model or will sale numbers plummet after this initial wave wears off? It's too early to tell.
Now I wanna sell my Mini and get a Bronco...stop making cars look that damn good Guys!!
Just ordered my base 2 door model with Sasquatch and auxiliary switches and the V6. Area 51 color. I agree with you regarding the sound but nothing an exhaust and tune can’t fix.
It has just been confirmed the Bronco transmission is shared with the Explorer, not the F150.
Doesn’t sound like good news
@@kirkjohnson2924 first year explorer transmissions were fine the problem was the cooler lines for the trans
@@GhostlyGhille "fine" is a matter of perspective. The 10R80 is more robust than the 10R60, so while it may be "fine" it would be a lot finer if it had the better trans. It just seems silly to give it to the Ranger, but not the Bronco.
The 2.7 makes 330hp and 415lb-ft

Bronco and Ranger Raptor are true badass cars.
There are also pleanty of IFS examples out there that have been used as off road vehicles so I just dont agree with that sentiment.
@@RougaRouKJun This is a really stupid comment.

As long as beeps don't bother you, lane centering is so important in addition to adaptive cruise control. I can't imagine buying a new car without it
@bobcat baldfat drunkbeater Who said I don't pay attention while I drive? The reality is, lane centering _greatly_ reduces driving fatigue and allows you to put more attention to the wider road and what's farther ahead of you. In effect, it allows you to be a better, more attentive driver. I can understand your assumption that someone who wants it is a lazy or irresponsible driver, but that tells me you haven't experienced it yourself or one that was well implemented
