    They both look great. We'll all see the jealous, bitter, angry people who just will come to make nasty comments and insult them as they probably run around the internet doing every day, because they're angry over their own lives and that is all they have to offer society. In the end, these are very successful women, with careers, families, marriages, companies and a very long friendship, which makes for very happy & fulfilled lives. Good for them. We only have one life so make the most of it.

    • @shannondavidson683
      @shannondavidson683 4 года назад +3

      I don't think most make comments out of jealousy or spite though. I think it's more to do with the facts that:
      a. They are both wearing a shitload of makeup
      b. Their lives don't have the same demands of always working full-time, worries about bills, privilege for semi / full retirement being an option. Nevermind the fact that they have maids to clean their homes, etc, while they work full-time; so they basically just get to invest their time and energies into things that they enjoy (aka hobbies).
      Doesn't mean they're terrible looking or awful people. But the expectation or thought that their "no makeup & youthful faces" and their "youthful persona " IS an extremely harmful narrative and expectation to perpetuate when the majority of people- ESPECIALLY women - don't have the incredibly privileged circumstances that these insanely rich celebrities do. 🤷‍♀️

    • @shannondavidson683
      @shannondavidson683 4 года назад +1

      Look up actual makeup free pictures of Cameron and/or Gwyneth. I assure you, their skin looks nothing like it does in this "makeup free" video display.
      P.S. I haven't seen Cameron or Gwyneth claim to be makeup free here nor surgery free in general, so not saying it's their fault. However, they're not helping by pretending or not being vocal about their privileges that allow them to appear more youthful than the majority of "regular" people

    • @betsybabf748
      @betsybabf748 4 года назад +2

      @@shannondavidson683 "Their priviliges"..seriously? They look great for their age, as well as many "regular people" who proactively care for their skin and their bodies. If a woman needs to minimize, excuse or criticize someone who looks great to make themselves feel better, then it is time to proactively work on themselves within because there are far more problems and flaws going on there than the age we may see around their eyes. That behavior we should see outgrown by hs grad, not in middle-aged women, setting examples to the younger generation. Many "regular people" look as good as they do at the same age. What excuse do you use for them, if they aren't using your claimed "privileges"? Bitterness and a lack of self-esteem and appreciation of others makes a woman most unattractive.

    It’s too bad that the comments section isn’t open on many of her podcasts. It’s a good forum for additional discussion. Although, I do understand why some choose to disable comments because some people ruin the comment section with rude or distasteful comments. :(

Hopefully, Cameron's organic wine brand considers workers and their working conditions also.

      They don't use 2 cent per hour slave labour to make their clothes, so their clothes will be more expensive than fast fashion. The only thing I don't like about Goop clothes is all the mixed fabrics - I prefer 100% silk, cotton, tencel, rayon or linen. Mixed fabrics can't be recycled and end up in landfills, esp polyester blends. Wish Gwyneth and co. would be more conscious about that :)
      If you want high quality clothes, it's best to buy good fabrics and materials and then find a fashion student to make them for you. That's what I do. ;)

      Just slap aloe vera bio gel on your face and pretend it's goop for a sec(make sure you re not allergic though eventough its just a plant) vitamin c serum and other vitamins, minerals and natural substances, depending on your skin type and the result you want, kinda already exist in serum/cream purely plant based and affordable (look for Moroccan products. They tend to be cheaper, safer (bc its controlled by world wilde health organisation and often european standards) Last but not least, what you put on your face as a treatment, sould also be taken in an ingestible way. Like take your vitamins daily in the correct doses, water and collagen and such. Just make sure it's approved to ingest by a trusted health organisation

    Cameron Diaz is one of my all time favorite people. I have always loved that twinkle in her eyes. I had hopes that I would meet her and she would fall in love with me... but alas... it is not to be. I hope this Benji understands how lucky he is and treasures her for the Gem she is.
    I admired how hard she worked to become who she is... setting off early to do world wide modeling and then creating her acting career... it may sound easy, but I know how hard that path can be. There are many many difficult hurdles to achieve her level of success. I most admire her walking away from acting. It shows she is no so vain to need the attention.
    She had a great career (with little drama or bad press (as so many/most Hollywood types do))... she was/is known as an honestly kind person who people enjoyed working with.... she banked a couple hundred Million Dollars... and said ""SEE YA!!! BUH BYE!""
    I admire her, and how well she has done, so much. And now she offers her good advice.
    Cameron Diaz is special. She really is.
    I wish her and her family a long and happy life. Cheers!!!

    Love Cameron and how candid she was about leaving Hollywood. Wish her nothing but success in her new chapter, but found the organic food and wine discussion to be confusing. Is organic really organic? What does the organic label mean?

    Oh my, I so love Cameron Diaz's journey within her life. Love the movie star convo and when she matured she knew it wasn't for her...in the way she was doing it. And, it would be interesting if we had constant ascension. However, Energy doesn't really move that way. It expands and contracts so there is growth and then an opportunity during a contraction period to go back over what you learned in order to digest it. ;-) Check out any good stock chart! Or the tide of the ocean...evolution, etc. And, yes over time the chart APPEARS to have ascended. Sitting in the stillness of a contraction is an issue for most. It is yin, negative female energy that requires the waiting to receive. Which many in our world is experiencing in a big uncomfortable way right now. I digress. Thanks for this interview.

So, I realize even being in the spotlight all the time and having all the attention around you can get tiresome and a bit empty. Even successful actors can get tired of their profession which we think it’s the best job in the world. But we all evolve and realize that the best things in life can really be about you developing a new skill or a new talent. Anyway, she can always get back to acting if she feels like it.

It's so refreshing to see two successful women being down-to-Earth, openly talking about delicate things, drinking wine and just being themselves, natural and relaxed. As an actress myself, who eventually started out a business, I can relate to the feeling that the film industry and theater projects on you, especially on young women. Then, you start your own business, you become successful being your own boss, not making any compromises, taking full responsibility of your decisions, life and proving everyone that YOU CAN! • @lilahayes33
    @lilahayes33 4 года назад +23

    Exactly. The problem is that when you are rich movie stars, an extra dollar for an organic cucumber vs. a regular cucumber isn't a big deal. But when you're on a budget and you've lost your job due to COVID and your opinions are $0.59 vs $1.59 is a HUGE deal. Regardless of how big the "organic" section is compared to the commercial section is.
    The same issue with Goop products. Alpha Skin Care has a $19 eye cream. Goop charges $55. I totally get that the quality of the product might be better, but Goop is obviously marketed toward celebrities or others with money and they do not take into consideration the middle class - like the people who work in the factories packaging this stuff so the celebrities can make even more money.

    • @LaLa-ck9zp
      @LaLa-ck9zp 4 года назад +4

      They aren’t marketing to celebrities at all, a $55 skincare product is considered the middle demographic, and its the most profitable and least isolating margin. Barbara Sturm makes a $140 eye cream, and $350 serums - that’s marketed towards celebrities and considered a luxury brand. You’re right, they aren’t marketed to low-income demographics, because the room for profit after costs shrinks considerably, and frankly, low income demographics, broadly speaking, tend not to assign a high value to “optional luxuries”.
      The same is true if any other branded items. Look at the difference in produce and meat quality, variety, and cost in different neighborhoods within the same city, based on the majority demographic being served.

    • @lilahayes33
      @lilahayes33 4 года назад +1

      LaLa M
      That’s just their eye cream.
      Their face cream is $95.
      They sell other products too... like a Botanical serum for $185 and a hyaluronic serum for $300. GoopToner: $75. I just found the eye cream was the cheapest on their website. I understand that face products can be expensive but the trick is to find something good and affordable. Goop and the products they sell on their website aren’t affordable to most people. I’m sorry but if $95 is the middle demographic then they need to review their demographic.
      The targeted demographic for Goop and the other products sold on that website is celebrities or others with disposable income. Believe it or don’t, but it is.
      A few weeks ago i spent a lot of money on a skin care line that is IMMENSELY affordable and it rivals nearly every other product I have ever used. My skin looks and feels amazing. I bought 9 products for the price of ONE Goop product. I’ve tried tons of stuff and this one is blowing my mind. Proof that you can be affordable to most people AND be a good product. They charge what they charge because her name is on it and people like labels so they’ll pay it.

    • @LaLa-ck9zp
      @LaLa-ck9zp 4 года назад +3

      Lila Hayes To clarify, I wasn’t making any kind of argument regarding the quality of ingredients in comparison to more affordable brands. Most “affordable luxury” brands and designer luxury brands- be it clothing or beauty products have inflated price points to maximize profit. Of course people are paying for the brand moreso than the product itself. My only point was that a $50 eye cream does fall into the sweet spot middle demographic, which is the most profitable demographic to market to. The Olsen twins have multiple brands, for example - they have a Target price point line, a Nordstrom price point line, and a designer/luxury price point line. Nordstrom’s carries loads of brands that are not affordable to much of the country, but it’s still considered the middle demographic. A Kate Spade bag is middle demographic (or “affordable luxury for the middle class”) vs a Chloe bag, which is a luxury brand. Most items sold at Sephora (including Goop) falls into the middle demographic. Their buyers select brands to carry based on this. When you see higher price point items like La Mer, they are still depending on the middle demographic to “splurge” because they saw a celebrity RUclips skincare routine and want to mimic it. They aren’t marketing to celebrities or ultra wealthy people.
      This video was created with a middle demographic audience in mind as well. Not celebrities or ultra wealthy individuals.
