Your statement is likely not true, since many sherpa have attempted different kind of skyraces or ultra races like this. But mostly, European shows the advantage in these years. You may go to ITRA searching Nepal. Some elite based in Nepal have attempted many races but showing the averaged results only. This could be due to the lack of training system, nutrition plan or a sound coaching method etc.
@@jasperherr8694 You may search Suman Kulung or Sange sherpa. Suman Kulung is a very good 100km runner getting a good result in Hong Kong. But overall his performance is still slower than European or Chinese Elite. Sange Sherpa has been in many international races, such as UTMB, Lavaredo Ultra or UTMF in Japan. His performance could only show he is exceptionally good but still rarely achieved top10 in these competitive races. Compared with Francois shown in this video, who dominates many races, especially 160km (100 miles), Nepalis do not show a great advantage so far. For me, I hope there is a higher diversity in the podium of this sport. But so far, there may still be no chance letting them showing their capability or potential.
This is a real world, UTMB is a real competition, I believe there are stronger spices in outer space, but every year, there’s only one winner, nothing can change it ✌🏻
Many people from Nepal are probably better than these athletes. It's just that they can't go to France for the competition.
