crazy to see how little thrust is actually applied during taxi. Great video. Congrats on captain!
That's true! Even in ground idle the aircraft accelerates and when it reaches max taxi speed we use the brakes to decelerate down to 10kt. This way it's better for the brakes than applying constantly brake pressure during taxi. Thank you very much for your kind words!

I remember my first flights as a captain...my co-pilot was a former military pilot and thought he was the big boss. He ignored the fact that I had 10.000 more flight hours than him. A horrible week. Thanks god all the other co-pilots were cool guys. So far...

Jetzt aber mal kein Kommentar zum Thema Fliegen, obwohl ich wie die meisten hier eine Menge Fragen haben.
Wie kommt es zu dem Namen "Wanderlust"? Ist das ein ungewöhnlicher Nachname oder die Bezeichnung für ein Hobby? Ich bin selbst Wanderführer und seit 30 Jahren Bergtourenfüher und habe einen Bezug zum Thema Wandern bzw. Gehen.
Vielen Dank für die netten Worte! Den Namen habe ich gewählt, weil es auf meinem Kanal ums Reisen gehen wird. Die Cockpitvideos waren nur der Einstieg und sollten für etwas Fernweh sorgen 😉, ab diesem Sommer sollen dann auch Videos rund ums Reisen und Fotografieren/Filmen auf Reisen hinzukommen. Eigentlich wird es dann hauptsächlich darum gehen. Schönen Sonntag! 🙂

wow mal wieder! :) liebe den Weitwinkel und die Art des Videos - simpel und super verständlich! War's eine große Umstellung auf den linken Sitz?
Vielen Dank! Es war erst ungewohnt links Platz zu nehmen, aber schon im Simulator hat man sich sehr schnell an die Steuerung mit der linken Hand gewöhnt. Dennoch kommt einem der Blickwinkel anders vor. Fliegerisch kannte ich das Flugzeug bereits als Co und in der Rolle als Cpt fühle ich mich auch sehr wohl. Wir haben eine super Trainingsabteilung und während der Ausbildung bekommt man den letzten Feinschliff für die neue Position. Liebe Grüße 🤗

Congratulations! Have you tried recording with an iPhone? Newer phone cameras especially the Apple ones have great dynamic range which allow for proper exposure of the cockpit and whats outside the window without much compromise.

Where is the damn steering wheel ? How do you snap turn that thing if you need to ?
Nose wheel steering wheel for movements on the ground and sidestick (like a joystick) to operate the flight control surfaces are located on the side pedestals that can't be seen from that camera angle. Thanks for watching!
