- Welcome back everyone to a new Pilot Vlog! Join me on my first Airbus A330 flight to Toronto as an airline Pilot. From takeoff in Frankfurt to landing in Toronto, and everything in between, I'm sharing my experience about whats it like to fly to a new city as a pilot. What do we check in the briefing how do I prepare...
During my layover in Toronto city, I'll give you a glimpse of what it's like for pilots to explore a new place for a few hours before flying back home to Frankfurt Int. Airport with a stunning landing.
As always sit back and enjoy!

When you hear the "5" Callout upon landing you know it'll be butter time!
Haha true 🙌
Not really… that’s like an extra that the airline can buy for the GPWS callouts so it doesn’t need to be butter but it is very often
On Marabu you can be happy you survived the flight when you hear the 5
@@hajplanespotter if you you hear it when you are comming slowly on the runway thats why, if you come to quick (land harder) you will only hear the 10 callout and not the 5
Marabu you are always too late .. 7 hours delay as always
I really love how informative this pilot vlog is compared to others pilot vlogs that really dont show or talk about the details of flying. Thanks for a great video!
Thank you so much! that really means a lot. Filming it that was the exact goal of it! To give you as much Information as i can in one video 🙌✌️
@@Pascalklr Bro you are one of the best pilots /youtuber out there best of luck my bro
ur the only pilot vlogger who can scratch the technical avgeek itch that all the others cant
Thank you 🙌 that means a lot!
The way he pronounced Niagara falls bout to get him canceled 🤣🤣
Informative and entertaining, that's what I call great content!! Keep it up, Pascal!
Thank you George! Means a lot 🙌🛫
I watched only this one video from your channel and I already subscribed, you are being so transparent and realistic! At the same time you're explaining everything clearly and in depth, I really appreciate that 💜
Thank you so much, that means a lot 🙌😊
Your videos are absolutely fantastic, so in depth on both the technical side of flying with a great balance of the time spent with crew socialising. What a great insight into pilot life.
Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it. Thanks for Subscribing 🙌✌️

Thank you very much! 🙌
Great video….refreshing angle of in cockpit footage and life beyond the airport. Nicely done 👍🏻
Thanks scott✌️
I really enjoyed your vlog Pascal. I’ve been an aircraft mechanic for over 50 years, but still enjoy all facets of aviation. It’s in my blood. LOL. Can’t wait to follow your adventures.
Welcome to the club🙌 glad you liked it 😊
your channel is very educational.. i love it.
Wie immer ein super Video ! Mach weiter so !

Vielen Dank dir! Das freut mich sehr zu hören 🙌 das kann passieren, you never know ✌️🛫
This video touched my heart❤ really pascalkar
That’s nice to hear! Thank you 🙌
Seeing your content for 4 month or so and I appreciate your effort in making content like this, I always wanted to become a pilot but wasn't able to because of financial problems but still love seeing aviation content so once again thank you for putting your time and effort in making aviation videos
Your welcome Ansh, I’m sorry it didn’t work out mate. Isn’t a PPL maybe a way to get into flying? It’s way cheaper then a commercial license!
I hope you’ll find your way in the cockpit someday. Thanks a lot for the compliment 🙌🛫💪
@@Pascalklr Yeah actually I never thought of getting a PPL because i always wanted to fly a boeing or an airbus PPL is cool i might do it after completing my education but flying airbus a320 was a dream. Thank you so much for responding it means a lot hearing from you.
Nice work ❤ your videos
Good job 👍🏻 Wirklich gut gemacht, gute Aufnahmen, smarter Typ ☺️
Vielen Dank! 🙌
Great !!!
Fantastic content, please keep it coming!
A lot more to come! Glad you liked it 🙌
Great video! Love the details of flying. How are you recording the cockpit footage?
I love your accent. Thank you for such an informative video.😃
Cant wait to see you at LAS!
Could happen that I’ll be there this summer 💪✌️
Jaaa! Ein neuer vlog! 🎉
Hat er dir gefallen ? ✌️
@@Pascalklr War sehr gut!
Yes please for the fms tutorial! So cool that eurowings lets you film in the cockpit - most pilot RUclipsrs I see now don’t do that
The FMS Tutorial is already online 🙌 go check it out! Thank you a lot ✌️
Still very much interested in more about the MCDU! Love the videos
Noted ✍️, thinking about how to make it a bit more interesting for all of you 🙌✌️
@@Pascalklr Take your time! :D
Merci pour votre vidéo
Always 🙌
Thankyou, danke, Pascal. Fantastic! I enjoyed all the stages of the preflight, taxi, takeoff roll, enroute, landing, hotel & touring at destination, but was especially interested in the data input in the FMC. Acronyms - the lifeblood of the commercial pilot! When will you be promoted from first officer to captain? Based on your competency as an airman and ease-of-flying, I expect soon! Thanks again, Pascal.
Thanks mate highly appreciate it. Captain Upgrade will take a few more years, it's also a seniority thing!
Have a good one ✌️
Funny, i live in toronto, and its almost always miserable. Surprised you enjoyed it
it has its ups and downs.
Pretty cool Vlog. Hope this will get more attention :))
I hope so too 😅 thanks a lot Hannes🙌
thank you for the detailed video! Would love to see how the FMS is set up!
You're welcome the video is already online on my channel... go and check it out. Thanks a lot 🙌✌️
@@Pascalklr yes I found it right after haha. found your channel by coincidence. Love it. Keep it up!
Hi Pascal!
That's the fist video I'm waiting for you, and it's pretty cool!
Where you're from?
Which company are you working for?
Welcome to the club mate! I'm from Germany and I'm flying for Discover ✌️🛫
Quite ironic having this video recommended after just failing flight school recently.
I was in the ATPL phase. Final stage. But it got to me and now I`m back at square one. Decided not to start over again. So, that`s it. At least for now.
At the same time, it`s nice to see others that did succeed. Although it`s bittersweet.
Why won’t you do a second try ?
@@Pascalklr To be really honest with you, I`m just absolutely fed up. Worked my entire life towards this goal.
Years and years of saving, studying, working alongside and what not, just to fail. Even worse, by literally 1%. I passed 13 out of 14 exams. But the last one I missed by 1%.
And I ran out of time. 18 months are gone. Right now I just need a moment to gather my thoughts and regroup. Plus, I`m 30 years old now. Already kind of late to the party.
I will start over. It`s just very hard to get going again. After three years of very intense studies, and with the hope that you won`t have to do that again, it`s rough.
There are 38yr olds starting from scratch. Plenty of time.
I know this was like 4 months ago 😅
But you said you wouldent mind making a video on how to set up the FMS. If you haven't done so already, i would be really intrested if you could show that.
Love the videos btw. Keep it up!
What is the song/music called that you played when flying back home? Really good video.
Toronto my hometown ... Hope you liked it
Had a blast ✌️
New member here. Looking forward for more
Welcome mate 🙌✌️✈️
I have a question if I am a pilot on an airlinen like Lufthansa do they decide what type of Plane I fly and for exaple can I always fly the A320 or do I evantually change to a bigger plane?
transatlantic flight planning on the FMS pls, really keen
It’s already online 🙌
Love your videos! What airline are you flying for?
Thank you very much! I'm flying for Eurowings Discover🙌
Love it
When will you fly the aircraft in the left seat
Probably still a few years to go ✌️✈️
Great strip joints around YYZ. Runway 66 was the best of the lot back then, Million Dollar Saloon next best. FYI ...
🙌
Sounds like a Dutch Captain, speaking as a fellow dutchie :)
Nice video btw. Question: what destination is still on the list that you wish to see?
Thanks mate! I would love to fly to Bora Bora and Tahiti! 🙌✌️
Shame you didn’t fly the 6l, as the star would of taken you over our apartment. Weird thing is I’m watching this in Frankfurt 😂 what’s the odds. Anyway nice video, you got a new subscriber 👍
What a bummer! Thanks a lot mate. Welcome to the Club 🙌💪
Discovered your channel this week, tried a few videos, and really like it! I am a close follower of MentourPilot and 74Gear, but yours is quite different, with more cockpitaction. You are an actual Airbuspilot, also a main reason to follow you.
Two questions: 1. I see that, on rotating, you pull the sidestick for one or two inches. What would happen if you kept the plane rolling instead of rotating?
2. On landing, I couldn't see whether you did the flare. Do you do the flare by pulling the sidestick back the same as in rotating?
Thank you mate 🙌
1: Nothing much would happen i would accelerate and keep rolling.
2: Yes during flare it's basically the same input as during takeoff but not that much!
Have a goof one ✌️
@@Pascalklr Danke sehr! One more question. After V2, and you would not rotate, wouldn't the plane start to reverberate because it wants to go up but is staying rolling on the ground?
Is that the insta360 camera that you're using? Also, you taxi from the FO's seat?
It’s a GoPro Max pretty much the same thing 😅. Yes I am, it’s SOP for the FO to taxi in our company… absolutely love it 🙌🛫
Hello, I am a sim pilot and I aim to be a real pilot in the future. Could you show us call outs for airbus aircraft so I can be more realistic when flying?
How do you get out without hit anything
Might be a strange question but during the whole flight do you watch TV or something on the side when there is nothing to do, surely you are not occupied for the whole duration ?
No we are not allowed to do that! We basically monitor the systems all the time ✌️✈️
You got the 5 call out so we know it was good landing
True story 😅🙌🛬
good landing by the capt and good support by you
The captain, where is hi from?
Sure i want to see how you set op your transatlantic route in the computer!!
Video is already out on my channel 🙌
@@Pascalklr wow i mist that thanks for sharing
Super exciting and interesting video. Thank you very much! 🤩👍
I have a question about minute 3:50
Why do you take your hand off the throttle immediately after pushing it forward? Wouldn't it take much longer to react in case of an aborted takeoff or are there any specific reasons for this? On other airlines, I have seen that the PF does not take his hand off the throttle until V1 is reached... 🤔
The Captains takes over the Thrust after i set it ✌️
Thanks for the answer. I thought so, just couldn't see his hand because of the camera angle. Always happy landings! 😉
Hii nice video. It is normal to disconnect the A/THR for landing?
It’s up to us if we want to fly manual thrust or with A/THR on✌️✈️
Do a video on more destinations
More Videos are incoming✈️ ✌️
you should be cross checking your PFD not captains for the 100knots call otherwise there is no cross check done
i cross check the standby aswell not the captains so all three indications are checked✌️✈️
👍
From day one getting your PPL, how did you get your 1500 hours and how long did it take for you to get onto a legacy? Thanks
Hey, in germany it's a bit different I directly went to a Legacy after flight school. I finished flight school with around 230 hours. ✈️🙌
@@Pascalklr wow that's crazy! Congratulations though! Hope you're loving every second. Safe flying!
Why your captain on this flight was speaking like in slowmotion? :D
do you only have 2 pilots on a long haul flight? I expected something around 3 or 4
Depends on the length of the flight. Up to 3 pilots ✌️✈️
Which Jet stream do pass through Toronto STJ or TJ or TEJ?
Should be the Subtropical jet stream ✌️
What company are you working for?
what airline?
Ooft, that tie colour hurts the eyes... nice video though mate!
Thanks mate!✌️
Ni a gara falls ??!!!
I have a question you putted the throttle to 100 % during the takeoff and then the pilot took the command ??
Because I he didn't you, you don't have to take your hand out from the throttle because If the takeoff got aborted you have to do more work to get your hands into the throttle
After setting takeoff thrust the Captain takes control of the thrust and he also would be the one aborting the takeoff. Have a good day 💪🙌
Wait so when there is only two pilots and the flight is longer than 6h you still don’t get crew rest during the flight?
Correct we have flights up to approx. 10 hours with two pilots✌️✈️
wow flight with two crew and no rest at all must be tiring but enjoyable still.
How did you apply for your job at the airline?
i wrote applications to different airlines after i received my license✌️
Yeah yeah, it's called Niagara falls, but in the end, who cares? The video is entertaining nonetheless. Danke.
Nice bmw
got atpl exams in 2 weeks but here instead
haha, you have to see what your future looks like so i guess thats an excuse 😅 and now back to studying 🙌
Why you disconnect the AT on short final? The only chance we allowed to retard the thrust level which is when aircraft autocall out "retard" in real flight LOL. Thrust level in airbus feels fake and hard to make small adjustment unlike boeing. From a double liscened pilot in A330 and B737
why did you say gear up for the ILS APP?
I’m not quit sure what you mean? Can you give me the minute where it happens ?
Have a good day ✌️
@@Pascalklr Hi, I hope you are doing well these days, and thank you for the reply. RIGHT After you said Flaps 2, and then i heard gear up!. 6:21 go from there
@@Pascalklr Hi, You didnt answer my question
What airline do you fly?
Discover from Lufthansa group ✌️
Curious to know! What does it say when your paycheck is deposited into your bank account
Hey my dream is to be a pilot a330 butter machine 😇
Transatlantikflug Tutorial
Ist notiert ✍️🙌
First Officers check fuck all. They are just there for the ride.
And likes
Nig🥷 fall?
Germans have rather small houses /homes …
I love Canada, except the Canadians. They are always sorry about something. So annoying
Great video! But never say ToronTo if you want to be canadians happy :D no T please
do u every fly from vancouver to frankfurt??
I've been flying to vancouver twice by now. Porbably in winter again 🛫✌️
@@Pascalklr oh ive flown on euro wings from vancouver to frankfurt back in febuary 19th
