This is my first time ever watching Avatar.
Liked the first episode.
It was really good!
I’m five episodes in and I’m honestly okay with the changes they made. I don’t want a scene for scene recreation, if I wanted to see the exact same thing then I could just rewatch the OG series. Also they made the changes make sense and condensed and combined a few stories that were close together in the series and did it in a way that doesn’t hurt the series.

It's a decent adaptation so far, I'm only 2 episodes in, but it's so hard to not compare the OG to the live-action. At least, to me, it is. I went in with my expectations too high. But I'm no hater. I'm gonna finish it.

I think that was a secondary reason as to why they were killing all of the waterbenders as well. On the off chance that they did kill the Avatar at the Air Temple then keeping it in a constant reincarnation cycle until it appeared back in the Fire Nation would’ve been ideal for them.
I have to admit: I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode. It wasn't what it could have been (I still hate that they've fundamentally changed a lot about the characters personalities) but it's also not what I thought it was going to be. *But then I watched the second episode...* Now I'm nervous again 😭

A wholesome lore about air benders : The ancient air benders had the ability to fly (like the sky bisons) because they let go all off their earthly attachments, but at some point they met the sky bisons causing them to finally have something ,and since then air benders could no longer fly.
I am on episode 2 and i like it so far its good to me

I was hopful and then disappointed unfortunately. I didnt like some of the changes. I did like the bending tho it looks so cool! And I liked some of the story. I'd give it a 7/10. Still a good show and I hope it gets better!
Katara's actor is by far the weakest one. Right now i can't see her having that emotion she had when she tracked down her mother's murderer. Overall i like this adaptation. Its more grounded more intense and realistic i don't mind that. I feel like most fans want a copy filled with goofiness and jokes like the animated show. The animated show had a great balance of both dramatic intensity and fun, i don't expect this show to come close to the brilliance of the animated show.

big facts i didnt expect or want a straight copy but they flew off the rails from episode 3 onwards...bruh its terrible. ep 1-2 was great
