The end stitch is being knitted. No extras. The amount of stitches is the same. I am skipping first stitch in every row and then knit it as the last stitch. You might need to watch the video again to understand.
Do you leave the first stitch unworked on one side only and then knit it back in when you come back, or do you leave the end stitch unknit on both sides until you come back to it?
I’m a beginner so I’m just curious as to what to do with the piece that you left at the end? After you felted and weaved the end in there was a tail left. What was that for? What do you do with that piece?
You are a great teacher! Your accent and voice are nice to listen too! Thank you!
Beautiful!! Your work seems more professional than others I've watched. Thank you for teaching me to do this.
Thank you Kathy, glad you liked it!
Wonderful video! Thank you so much! How many stitches do I originally "cast on" for a 40"x60" throw (9 lbs of your felted Merino Wool)?
Thank you! 18 stitches
Great tutorial and I can’t wait to try. Why did you leave a long tail at the end of your blanket? Did you weave that in? Thanks 😊

Just a thought....maybe try putting the yarn behind the table and in a basket on the floor 😘
I missed what happened with the end stitch? Is it 25 and one extra. Then what do you do with the stitch you’re not using?

@@BeCozi i am also finding it confusing...we knit it when we return left to right, then leave the first stitch as we go right to left?
@@michellegeorges8560 Skipping FIRST stitch in every row.

Knitting the last stitch in every row, skipping the first stitch in every row
@Michelle Georges I skip first stitch, I knit the last
If I’m using chenille yarn and wanting to make a king size blanket how many loops do you suggest for an 80 x 76?
Not sure what chenille yarn, they are all different thickness. About 36-40 stitches

Annette, the tails should be weaved in. They can be felted into the stitches with a felting needles and mat

how much yarn for a queen bed?
Depends how much of the bed you would like to be covered. These blankets are usually used at the foot area. for this size you will need 10 lbs
I would like to cover the whole queen bed
@@mktran10 That will be very big and heavy blanket - 25 lbs
Hello,
How many balls of yarn is needed to make this size blanket?
13 lbs
Thank you!!
Thank you
You are welcome!

25 casted stitches does not appear to be enough stitches for a king size blanket
This is a accent blanket, to place on a side/footage area of a bed, it is not a comforter. Size 60x80 inches is covering half of a King size bed
