      If you have air dry just use that. The tumble setting is the same, it just means tumbling without heat.

    Уважаемая Лариса, очень рада что нашла ваши видео и веб сайт! Подскажите, пожалуйста, Как ухаживать за изделиями? Можно ли стирать или чистить только в химчистку?

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  6 лет назад

      Спасибо Ольга! Изделия из мериносовой шерсти лучше всего сдавать в химчистку. Стирать возможно, но в зависимости от стиральной машины, результат может быть хорошим или плачевным: если машинка мощная, одеяло может сваляться и станет твердым и некрасивым.

    Which method of felting produces a stronger yarn - spritzing before drying or using a washing machine and air drying? I know that using a washing machine and air drying will make the yarn smaller in diameter, whereas this video doesn't seem to change the yarn all that much.
    Thanks!

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  5 лет назад

      Wet felting makes stronger yarn but a bit thinner. Felting in a dryer make the yarn thicker.

    How do you know how much yarn you will need for a blanket? I see the blanket in the background is nicely knit in a nice stitch but I usually see it very loose. Where can I find a video on how to make one like the one in the background? Where is the best place to purchase Merino Chunky yarn to make this? Sorry so many questions.

      Jomi, the best place to buy Merino wool is becozi.net/collections-merino-wool. Each listing has a description with the information how much wool needed for different sizes of blankets.

    Can i felt the wool yarn if i already made it into a blanket or would it need to be felted before the process of making anything with it?

    • @BeCozi
      @BeCozi  4 года назад

      Blanket can be felted after it is made: place it in a front load washer on Rinse and Spin option, hang to dry. If a blanket is under 5 lbs - add some clothes of the same color to have a full load

      It will not work for that kind of yarn, heat can destroy synthetic fibers

    • @annehatfield2104
      @annehatfield2104 5 лет назад +1

      Hi Mandy, I actually threw caution to the wind and decided to try this on the exact yarn you mentioned. I didn’t want to buy beautiful wool for my first attempt at hand knitting. It did felt down with no problem, but it also took twice as long to dry.
      I agree that high heat should be kept from synthetic fibers, though. That being said, my rebellious side took over again once I finished my blanket and it’s now back in the dryer to see if I can get it to felt just a bit more. I needle felted my loose ends throughout, so hopefully they’ll remain intact!
