Colormatched datewheel would definitely look worse. Design is cool. Bit expensive for an unknown micro with a miyota. 450 would be cool.
Disagree about the date wheel; I think it adds to its symmetry. Now if they'd lumed it? THAT would have been so cool.
This is one of the more uniquely appealing dial designs that I have seen in a long time
The lume triangle is dirty
Very cool design, thanks for sharing Jory. Also, love the size and dimensions (39mm is definitely my sweetspot)
Omg..i really like it. Its my size, thin diver 39-40 mm. Its a very nice watch. That one con really spooked me, the sharp edges..i never take my watches off, even when rough housing
I really like the curved lines which extend over the top of the case & domed crystal. The bracelet is reminiscent of the one on my Lorier Falcon II.
I love it! The sharp relief cuts are a non-issue, now that I know about them. No drilled lugs are also a non-issue, considering the quick release springbars.
I love the fun color-ways they offer. Very summery beach vives. The sharpness you mentioned kinda worries me. I didn't catch in the vid if this was a prototype or the finished product. Hopefully they can get that resolved. Great review.
I love that dual 12 hr/timing, bezel.
Maybe you could show the other color options in these kind of reviews, since there are some really interesting choices with this one especially
Noteworthy is this a still running kickstarter (fully funded in a day) and some of the con's will be addressed in the final product.
Those relief cuts/raised case-features are going to be dirt-collectors
No link to watch...awesome.
2:08 I believe it’s in Fargo season 4 Ep 1 the nurse has on a Cartier Tank Cintree dual time. Which is a cool Easter egg if you watch it, adds to the plot. Check it out.
Microbrands have to start including on-the-fly micro adjustment. Jody and San Martin have shown that you can include it at an approachable price point.
No that date wheel colour is perfect for that watch,L9VE IT.
Is it an ISO certified diver
Sharp edges on cases definitely detract much from the user/wearing experience. I also associate it with lower cost builds. Let's hope rhey fix that for production. I dont agree tgat drilled luga make sense on this design.
Hey another micro brand diver !!! 🤯
Ubiq = Unique - that's a really unusual and appealing dial design and use of color, and that's a neat date window, too.
Date window is too big for the date wheel, we see it at 5:08
@@malzahar33 you're right. I stand corrected 😲
@@simsalb I like that it blends with the indexes though, it is very smart and I never saw it anywhere else I think
Yes, I don't think I have either
It looked a lot better for the original $450 but I like color
I wonder if having two movements in one case, the balance wheels may become synchronous? I don't know, watch nerd stuff... Rose's are red violets are blue I can't rhyme, the end.
AFAIK, yes. Put two 'grandpa clock' in proximity sync em up.
This thing is SHARP
Colors are 🔥🔥🔥 Cool design. But is it as good as the Erebus Origin at ~60% more expensive? Time will tell.
Jody was positive too, good looking piece. Not sure about holes or grooves in sports watches that might get messy and need cleaning.
it is called paid review
Love your videos. The plural of index is pronounced inde(see)s not indexes.
Not according to the dictionary. Both are proper.
@@thetimeteller And typically, in the watch world, indexes reign whilst it grates upon those of us preferring the alternative. Developed world problem at it's finest.
I think its a serica
I wonder 🤔 which watchmaker " inspired " this design ......
Be original and buy something like a " high " end Vostok instead , 1967 with a ratcheting bezel , around US$300
Just a suggestion ....
nice
I'd never buy a watch with poor quality control of watches sent out to reviewers... Other reviewers also received wathes with dirt on dials and in the lume... prototype or not I'd be affaid to receive a even worse production watch.
OK, but the date at 6 o'clock is sort of played out by now.
There are more micro brands than the population of the planet.... questionable wr....$613 retail and that on kickstarter. Every watch maker wannabe following the trend will try to make a watch, don't forget it's cost free, kickstarter figured out that part. Just wondering, if they will manage to release it, how much will the retail be without the bargain kickstarter price ? Around $1k ?
Dude, I like your style.
Cool design. Terrible finishing.
