I am 86 years old, and that is a first for me! I have always wanted to know more about how drilling for water works. Thank you so much for sharing this. Congratulations!
@@anniedavis4569 Me too Annie. If the electricity board connect us by the end of the week, Noel will soon be able to get the pump working (once it’s installed). We could have running water on the next couple of weeks. 😊💦
I live here in southern Virginia, USA, and when we built our new house on our property, the old house, at the top of the hill, had a well that was 100 feet deep. When we drilled at the location of our new home, down the hill about 400 meters away, we had to drill 600 feet deep, but it is a good, high flow well.
@@russgaulke1364 That’s helpful to know and really encouraging. You do make comparisons with neighbours don’t you… but Lenihans explained that every well is different and there’s no logic to it. Thanks for sharing Russ:
This was fascinating, bit of a nervous moment but these men and their marvelous machine are fantastic, loved watching this and isn't it great that you have the best blue water. I'm pretty sure that you are truly blessed there in Ireland.❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, I'm so happy for you guys! Roy, you're stuck having a bath far more often than you wanted now haha - or maybe he likes his bath. That machine was outrageous, how does a truck like that even get made? Really exciting to watch so far, thanks.
I am so pleased for you that you have got Lenihans to drill for your water.I can highly recommend them .They bored my well 5/6yrs ago. Very professional. You will have water.
Thank you, found the video fascinating. No idea what was involved. A huge milestone met. You must be pleased. Will wait for next episode to see task completed. Take care
I’m so happy for you! I remember when my parents drilled for water…it was so stressfully. They finally hit at about 360 feet. The deeper the better quality water is what they were told? 🤷🏼 This was in the 1960’s! I was a little child, but even I knew it was important…a very big deal! It will taste wonderful!❤
Ironically while watching this my faucet has been running for over an hour in order to get rid of the dirty water coming in due to our water being turned off all day because of a broken pipe several kilometers away! It is amazing to me that this machine was designed to do what it does! Digging a well seems as complicated as launching a rocket! Congratulations on finding water!!
@@joyn4338 ah hello darling. What a joy to see you here. So glad to share this with you, and yes I was found it quite emotional too. Oddly, not at the moment when we found water but at the very start when the drill began to pierce the earth. I found myself instinctively touching the ground and whispering ‘thank you’. It’s an incredible thing to experience. Big hugs. Speak soon. ❤️❤️❤️
You are a wonderful storyteller, with a beautiful, soft, kind voice. I can’t wait until the next video. Excellent filming and making us care so much about your water. Ps thanks too for considering the speed of the camera swoops.

It’s an education isn’t it. I had no idea how it worked until now. Thanks for watching. 😊💦
Oh my god I’ve always wondered how this works Jill you explained this so well ,that’s certainly some depth
I know Heather. We were a bit worried for a moment there, but relieved when we could hear the water in the pipe. 😊👍💦
What an amazing piece of machinery, thanks for explaining Noel
Thanks Jill for explaining about the pipes, very informative.
Hope all goes WELL 🧐

Water is something most take for granted. Don't realize how wonderful it is to turn on the tap, until you don't have it...
We won’t believe our luck when the taps work! It will be such a novelty! ❤😊
