Wow, scary with the caravan rocking like that! Glad came through ok

My sympathies. We just spent several days/nights in gale force winds on South Padre Island, TX in a caravan, a few days of low winds in between. We both have Covid too, so at least the weather sucked when we felt awful.

Hi Jill, so relieved Noel survived the night intact, remarkable! Understandable that you were concerned, it's when you lose contact that you begin to become a bit panicky, my son does it to me all the time, doesn't reply to texts then the mind goes nuts, but there's usually a reason and he comes back with Hi mum I'm not dead in a ditch. I reckon that if Noel can get through this, he can get through anything.

I’m so glad Noel and Roy are ok. Thank you for the update. I follow The Irish Homestead and the roof of their big static caravan blew right off and damaged the new roof on the stone cottage that they are renovating. Thankfully they and their animals are ok too.

It was the line of evergreens that protected you from worse winds. Glad you are safe. 🙂

Hi Jill, Thank-you for the update, poor Noel, nightmare journey, I actually bought my husband one of those self heating gilets for Christmas as he spends his entire life in the garage with his old British motorbikes and I worry about him being cold. He says they're amazing and you can re-direct the heat to various parts of the body. I might just buy myself one😂

Happy 2025! No snow for us this year, but lots of rain. I watch a couple in Cork doing a house, and she is a distributor for Free Trees Ireland, which sounds like a lovely program. The aim is to plant 25.000 native trees! Perhaps you can get some on the next distribution.
