Hi, well illustrated how to remove the wiper and ac intake cover. Point is you did the work with ease without getting tensed and u had all tools. Appears you are mechanical engineer, that is why you could do it.. I think I have to save this Video. Nice thinking to secure the gaps. Unfortunately I don't have all tools you have. Very knowledgeable video. Hope Anand Mahindra have seen this video.
Hi @@mukulslens It's really very good and informative video. Rcently My Scorpio N also got the rat bite issue in this area, that you have shown in this video. The Rat bite the wire close to the connector and because of this the wipers are not functioning the way it supposed to. It stop any where on the windshield. The mahindra advisor asked me to replace the wire loom which is very costly. For now the mahindra mechanic did some workaround(used some extra wire to fix that). I just wanted to understand , 1. Is there any better solution? 2. Does this really require to replace complete wire loom? 3. Any impact on car because of work around? 4. Does this cover in insurance. I have tata aig comprehensive with zero debt. Thanks
Hi Mukul, Quite informative video as usual. I use 3M rodent repellent coating for my Scorpio N engine bay, which is quite effective and now there are no rats infestation. But seeing this, its a big problem. I wonder how could Mahindra missed out on this one. Is there a hole created by rats in fender lining or elsewhere because these days fenders come quite intact with fender lining and other plastic parts.
Glad, you've found it useful. Upon inspection it's clear that there are lots of cozy places for the rats to nest. The Rat did not create any opening in this case, the portion behind the tyre/wheel arch might look intact with the fender but it's hollow and with plenty of openings behind. 🙂

Replacing the entire wire loom is unnecessary. Simply use similar wire diameter and connect the wires which are damaged and Tape the connection. It should work fine. This kind of work does not impact the insurance in my knowledge as it does not alter the vehicle operation. Also Rat damages are not covered in insurance at least to my knowledge. I would suggest just using a connector wire and see if the problem gets solved.
@@mukulslens yeah, the mahindra guy did the same thing by using the extra wire. But I was just worried if that is good and permanent solution or not. Or does this have any impact on any other parts or may be on warranty.
No, no impact on warranty in any way since it's done at Mahindra Service Centre. Also it does not interfere with any functions of the car. I think there's nothing to worry. 🙂
Anything in bits and pieces is always Rat chewing and they just love soft padding materials to make their home. But chances are they have just chewed a little by what you have mentioned. If the bits and pieces have sharp uneven chewed edges, it's rats.
Very informative and man that rat jump scared me 😂

@@mukulslens totally agree
Great work and super informative, Thanks ... even service center guys can't do this one !!!
So satisfying...
As always your video is so informative

I feel dumb for not knowing these car care hacks🤐
You could use bigger mesh as this one may restrict the air flow.
Great work anyways.
Waiting for your new roads trip
7:41 woah😮
It seems to be a great idea. Is there any easy way to prevent/solve this problem.
3M Rat repellent Spray seems to be most effective in keeping them away.
@@mukulslens I think it is very concentrated one. It smells awkward.

Maybe I'll first use an endoscope to check how is the gap in the XUV7OO, if it's there, then I'll try...
With scorpio n there are too many entry points which can make damages...other than one which you tried to fix...

Hi Mukul , what about those air vents behind rear bumper ?
Hey, planning to cover it too. 🙂
@@anshumantalwar8323 what and where're the air vents behind the rear bumper
@@vivekvijay1986 there are vents behind rear bumper in every car for air circulation .Rats also tend to enter through them .
Hey Mukul , is the solution working fine ?
Also did you manage to do so with the rear vents ??
@@mukulslens
@@anshumantalwar8323 Yes, no incidents so far. Rear vents will be done soon, been busy lately.
Nice
I saw some foam padding drops at the rear bumper end? What could it be please help?

What part of the car could the foam padding be from?
They use it for sound and vibration reduction at contact point between bumper to body. So maybe along the inside edges of bumpers probably.
@@mukulslens thank you Mukul Ji for all the insights and help. I’ll definitely look down there.
Which disinfectant did you use...?
amzn.to/4fBaAIM Took almost two to remove the smell. 🙂
Is manual scorpio n better buy or automatic ? plz mention
The customer feedback for the AT is really good for Scorpio-N. It's a much better option if you drive in city or prefer the ease of driving.
Which variant of the Scorpio N is this?
Z8L 4WD Diesel MT.
Nice hacks
lol, noob at best, bhai sludge buildup will cease waterflow from the drain and then rust will set in
Relax, that's impossible.
