    Hello!! The leaves are already starting to change here. I'm in northern Indiana. I missed the whole month of july.... I had a total knee replacement that went sideways.... Everything is looking wonderful for you!!

      Twisted Pixie! ❤️ I am so sorry to hear this! Because of my nursing background I have a few comments and questions. I can't help myself! Did you wait a really long time to get this replacement ....like keep putting it off? What went sideways? Did you get an infection and have to take antibiotics? How's the pain? They say that rehab is the worst part and so pain meds prior are crucial. I am SURE they have told you this.....that way you can really participate. Also, I heard from lots of people that they wished they had done it much sooner and really had some relief!! I am hoping the best is yet to come for you with just a little time. Keep me updated. Lolly❤️

      @morninggloryfarmstead This was surgery #22. No exaggeration. Number seven between my knees and feet. I knew and know what to expect from this type of surgery. No I did not keep putting it off. My pain is horrible. They increased from every six hours to 4 hours. I take oxycodone thirties. I can't get anything stronger..... I have a very extensive medical background. My mother was a nurse and is now a nurse practioner. My daughter
      Had cancer from the age of 6 until she passed. She was twenty six. The cancer did not take her.... I took care of my grandmother from when I was in high school until I was married and had my daughter. That was probably a twenty plus year span. My second husband passed he had medical problems also.... So anything to do medical I have something to base it on lol. There was no infection. My surgeon is not listening to me nor is his nursing staff. I would probably get more answers from yelling into the wind. I'm honestly at my wits end.... Truly do not know what to do anymore. I thank you for your questions and concerns. Hugs

      Oh my goodness! Well first, I am sorry for all your pain both with yourself and what you went through with your daughter, grandmother, and second husband. Secondly, I am glad you have some medical knowledge and experience so that you can advocate for yourself. I AM glad there was no infection. That is something in all of this I suppose. I understand your frustration with those who do not listen. Lolly❤️

    Oh my GOODNESS! I’m thrilled for you! It’s 24’x24’? WOW! How tall is it? You’re a lucky lady for sure!! My little greenhouse that’s falling apart was only 10’w12’l and wasn’t big enough! Tim is slowly but surely tearing it down but has no place to put all the pots and shelving inside it now! LOL. I wish I could get some of it sent to you! You’ll be able to grow food 24/7/365! You’re definitely going to need lots of help putting it up! What a fun adventure!!! SO happy for you!!!❤❤❤

    How exciting, Lolly! Have you started thinking about what you want to grow in your new greenhouse? I have to say that when you said you were getting a new addition on the farmstead I kept thinking maybe it was an animal but I didn't have a good guess as to what kind of animal! Good luck with putting everything together! I look forward to viewing the process and seeing the end result! 🤗🌻

      Hey June!😃 I thought someone might think it was an animal! That is totally logical! I want to focus on things I really enjoy like broccolini, cabbage, lettuces and other greens, tomatoes.....not sure what else yet. Those are my "for sures"! I'm so glad you spent a few minutes with me and I thank you for the well wishes putting it together.😂 I am doing my due diligence watching some videos and what not so hopefully it go very smoothly. Have a peaceful night!
      ❤️ Lolly

    I've harvested 24 lbs of ground cherries so far...😳 and I also pick them before they fall for a better flavor to me. Most of my plants were volunteers from last year's planting.

      Hey Denise!😃 That is some good eatin" having 24 lbs! Wowza! Way to go and the fact that many are volunteers is wonderful! I do the same as far as picking a little early. It changes the flavor once they fall off which is fine, but I love the way the taste right before they fall off. I agree with you about the flavor! Congrats on having a garden that wants to voluntarily grow for you! 🥳 Have a great night! Lolly❤️

    Wow this is a big project for you but so exciting! I’m glad you’ve had positive customer service experiences so far bc those are rare these days. Will you have greenstalks inside the greenhouse? Raised beds? Idk anything about greenhouse growing & am happy to learn from your experience!

    • @morninggloryfarmstead
      @morninggloryfarmstead  Год назад

      Hey Jessica!😃 My plan at this time is NOT to have the GreenStalks in the greenhouse but I will never say never. I have a few GreenStalks that don't fit on the GreenStalk patio so they may find a home in the Greenhouse at some point but I would prefer barrels and other types of elevated large food grade containers to be the majority of the greenhouse. It will fill up very quickly due to the size. Thanks for sharing in the excitement and for hanging out with me for a few minutes today! Lolly❤️

    Where are the finished greenhouse videos???

    • @morninggloryfarmstead
      @morninggloryfarmstead  6 месяцев назад +1

      I would love to say that it's been finished but we completely had to stop working on it for a few months and my son in law is now the ONLY one working on it. He just came over and cut some pipes the other day and prepped for the hanging of the second door! Woohooo. A work in progress for sure. The downhill slope has created the need for customizing some things which is taking longer. I hope now that its a little warmer we will be out there a little more to work on it! Believe me I will be posting as we get farther along!🥰
