Just a thought about the back center crimp....the belt can be completely reversed on the buckle, so that if you are aware that the "pucker" may occur, just reverse the belt every couple of months. As for the plastic tip creeping up and poking you, they show on their website and RUclips channel that you can trim the other corner of the tail of the belt, they refer to it as a dog-ear, and then re-melt the trimmed portion with a lighter to keep it from fraying. Great review - thanks for keeping it real! Cheers!
I appreciate you talking slow without any hype and showing each point you were making, thank you. Question: could you show more closeup the end that stays in the buckle? What's the material and how is it attached to the belt?
I just bought one and have been looking at reviews. Not sure if you’ll see this Seth, but you can reverse the belt (remove it from the buckle, and insert it back, with the cut off at the end facing up, instead of down like it is right now), that way when you wear it, the corner that used to poke you, will no longer do so (in theory).
That is something that I had not thought of. This belt is very tough. Should last for many years. The part that pokes does not seem to be an issue any more.
I ordered the three pack. The three colors are perfect for coordinating with cloths, and I like the look. To be honest though, I almost returned the belts when I first tried it. It takes time to learn how to use the belt. I decided to give it more time and I'm getting use to it, so I'm keeping them. It's easy to take the belt off, but I've had to get used to taking more time to cinch the belt when putting it one.
They are amazing once you get use to them. I decided to spend a day practicing after they nearly caused an accident dancing in front of the urinals. The slip knot on your sweatpants only fails when you NEED TO PEE.
@@ToolsTechAndGear Good to hear. I just bought one recently. I think they are quite expensive for what they are but when you consider the durability and “lifetime” guarantee,it’s worth the price!
I don't plan to cut my belt that short. Tests have shown I want something to grab onto with my left hand as I grab the buckle to tighten the belt. I will start with the tail landing all the way to my west (if I'm facing north) belt loop. Easier to shorten it more than to buy another belt. Also concerned about scratching cars. Their “Vert style of buckle has 3 vertical "verts"; wider holes than the end-slots that normally do all the work. I think these are meant to be just decorative, but I think I can put them to work Stay with me, here: Install belt in the belt through the left end-slot in the prescribed fashion. Do the belt loops and put the belt into the right end-slot as directed. Here is the weird part (remember this only works with the “vert” buckle) bring the belt back out through the right vert, skip over the central vert and tuck the belt back in through the left vert. Then proceed as directed by Grip6. This is a little harder to do and gives you a Very secure belt. Remember scratching cars? Like when you reach for a windshield wiper or the like. You now have the thickness of the belt as a pad in front of the metal buckle. I don’t know how good the carbon-fiber buckles are at scratching car paint, (the disc-golf pro shop where I bought the belts did not have any carbon-fiber buckles).
Bought mine in 2020 in the beginning of the year. I did alot of outdoor activities and warehouse work and the problem I had with clamp belts was the teeth and the straps being worn out to fast and not keeping its tightness. When this started blowing up before covid I decided to get one and so far it has lasted all of my work and outdoor stuff. I’m getting a new strap because I out grew mine. I’m a 30 30 to 32 30 in pants and got the 30 at the time. I got taller and more built now so I’m going to get a 36. 34 is good but just incase someone needs to barrow a belt, they can use this one and probably get them to by one as well. As far as I’m concerned it’s worth it. It’s out lasted my other belts except one tac belt but that abit more heavy duty. As a everyday belt it a 10 in my book.
Ps. The size 30 still fits me but the length isn’t the same as it was before so I’d size up to a 32 or a 34 so you have extra length incase you conceal carry or carry other things on it.
Thanks for this review! I'm thinking of getting my hubby one of these. The little divot at the back is because the belt is a rectangle with perfectly straight sides and your body is curved ;-) Leather will eventually cure to conform to your body but that webbing has no stretch or give whatsoever. They could give a slight curve to their belts to make that go away :-)
With the tail cut and angled the way it is. maybe you are wearing the belt upside down? Also turning it over will balance the wear/bend at the center back. (To turn it over, thread it the the loops the other direction.)
@@ToolsTechAndGear I was going to make the same suggestion, the tapered half of the cut end should be up not down so that as it shifts the corner doesn't poke above the belt-line.
For more even breaking in and wear, can do both of these: Periodically alternate threading the belt through your pants clockwise and counter clockwise. Periodically alternate the threading of the webbing through the buckle “upside down” and “right side up”
I'm going to give it a try after being throughly dissatisfied with the "Belt Bundy". It was satisfactory if you were only sitting or standing, but any movement at all- the velcro would give way.
Your mistake was wearing a holster at all...unless you're in law enforcement, carrying a gun & holster everyday is just simply fear mongering idiocracy. 🙄

I have two and love them both!

Just bought one today from a thrift store & its still good as new 🔥

I have used this belt every single day since I got it in. It does take a little longer to put on but it is very durable and comfortable.

Nice belts. My military issue canvas belt is still going strong 20+ years later. Makes it tough to try another...
I really like the two that I have
Just purchased and received this belt based on your review ... I think it's a keeper. Got the Work Belt level as I conceal carry daily. Thank you.
Nice! I have used this best every day for 2 years. No issues at all.
Very well done. Thank you.
Thank you for watching.
Great idea to give an update on the wear and tear, (although not much to report). Any further updates, two years on?! Are you still using it? :)
I still use this belt everyday. Its my only belt.
@@ToolsTechAndGear Good to hear. I just bought one recently. I think they are quite expensive for what they are but when you consider the durability and “lifetime” guarantee,it’s worth the price!
To stop the bend in the centre of the belt, you need to start purchasing trousers/pants with two belt loops at the back centre. 😉

You can cut and re-melt the flap so that it doesn't stick up and bother you anyhmore.

I think its cut for the way I have been using it. But nothing wrong with flipping it around!

The video on the Grip6 website shows it the way Seth is wearing it, with the taper down.

Just saw the price, Crazy💲🤑😵💫
Two years later and it has almost no wear. I use this belt every day. Very much worth the cost.

I am wearing this belt right now. Takes a bit to break in but a year later its still my favorite belt.
I ordered the more expensive walnut grain buckle and the finish has worn off parts of it.
How tight can you get it? I feel like you can’t cinch down as tight as you would with a traditional belt.
How does it stay tight
Hello, I'm deciding between this or a 5.11 for a Glock43x (not heavy gun). I want of course the most comfortable and quality one thanks!
Not sure about carrying but I have used this belt for a tool belt the past 2 weeks. It has done remarkably well.
@@ToolsTechAndGear thanks!
I currently use a groove belt and it constantly becomes loosee on me. I'm always re-tightening it. Do you have problem like that with this belt?
I have used it every day since I got it. No issues at all with becoming lose.
Couldn't you just flip the webbing piece upside down so the little plastic piece doesn't dig into you?
Is it stretchy at all?
No the webbing is firm.
One size fits all?
no the website has sizes
I made the mistake of using of using mine with my holster and it frayed so badly I had to toss it out. Otherwise it was ok.
Oh no! I have not used mine with a holster yet. For daily use it has been great.
My understanding is they have a lifetime return policy. What made you decide not to try and return it for replacement?

Maybe your holster is to agressive? You've got a really sharp edge if it wore your belt.
Tyty
This belt is a nice one. I've been wearing it for well over a year now.
mine sags when I cc my 1911 owb so for me not a real gun belt
Not sure about that carry. I have used this everyday since I got it. As an everyday casual belt it has been awesome.
To truly CC a person doesn't use a belt
@@danielfruechting8623Do they put it in their ass to holster it then? Most holsters require belts but i guess you could use the prison wallet.
I seriously dislike this belt. It comes loose every time I put something heavy in my pocket
