Nice video. I'll have to try this way. I always used painters tape to get the Vinyl texture. This way looks much easier. I don't use a air brush, just rattle cans. Would I need to keep the same distance away using the spray can? also I see your door and trunk panel lines have detail in them all ready. Will it still stand out once you paint the body? Thanks for any suggestions you might offer.
Thank you, you might be able to perform this with a rattle can but I suggest this to be done with an airbrush. My panel lines are scribed very deeply and then washed right on the plastic. There is no need to address them anymore after this but again, the trick is to scribe them very deeply.....
I was thinking about using small strips of masking tape. Because of this coronavirus I can't get to my hobby shop to get some of this Evergreen plastic material. I want to do a Chevy Nova Grumpy's toy and that car's got a vinyl top
Great turorial. I gitta remember this whenever i go to try one of these.

Thanks for sharing man, definitely that’s something I need to try
Great job buddy I appreciate the information
Thanks for the info Marcos.
Most helpful. Many thanks
I have flat strips for the top & 1/2 rounds for the bottoms...did you use the 1/2 rounds & then sand then down on the roof?
T.Y
Used the same strips as stated on the video....

Marcos great vid, what kit is that? How did you thin down the area below the front windshield?
That is the 1/24 Monogram kit. I sanded the area from behind and removed to excess plastic.
What about using the 3m spray mount adhesive to create the texture for the vinyl top?
That's how I did the first one, I prefer this method....
Ok thanks for the reply Marcos. Keep up the great work!
This would be helpful if you'd stop picking up and putting down the damn body
What? You can´t chew and walk at the same time? :)
@@cruzer2123 nice one.
Instead of talking too much why don't you just do it
If you know how to read, you will see that i stated that it is a brief explanation.....
Marco the top strips are flat strip & the bottom rear window are 1/2 rounds...you mentioned you used the same on everything.
@@GrandNational66 I use the same strips for everything. Once you place the Bare Metal Foil, it will look very convincing….
