It's stuff like this that gives me so much respect for people who study chess theory. To a casual chess player, some of these moves look absolutely bonkers. Makes me wonder how many hundreds of hours went into developing this opening into what it is today.

it feels like chess openings develop like a city; the combined hours of thousands and thousands of people chipping in little bits and trying to improve it for themselves bit by bit. over all that time it blossoms into an awe to behold.

I like this analogy. Constantly evolving and fine tuning

What's up man. Ya opening theory is crazy lol. One of my favorite things about chess. Some say it has ruined chess but I still think there's plenty more to explore and invent.

Ahhh just like the mengarini opening, I use this move all the time but never with e4, but always a3. I like to throw people off in the beginning.

      Ooohhh I like it!! I love starting games with 1. a3 and 1. ...a6

Ever since I saw your first video on Mengarini, and i guess I've hardly lost any match without me blundering.
Undoubtedly my fav opening against Sicilian.

Wow, love to hear it! My winning percentage is really high with it as well. I don't think any other chess opening for white against the Sicilian Defense has given me this level of success.

Hey Solomon i just came across a very unusual opening for black called the Elshad System. Could you take a look at it and try to make a video for it? It can be very sharp and aggressive and Michael Basman would be happy cause it has h6 and g5 lol

What's up Lorenzo! Very interesting, I will have to take a look at this. I think I've heard of this but can't tell you what it is.

    Hello brother little suggestion
Can you add the eval bar in these games? Nothing massive difference but it does make abit more interesting how each moves add significant effect on different positions.:)
