I'm 95% sure the reason this thing exists is because they finally did the gold standard rework on the Sabre Raven and felt the need to justify the time spent doing that by selling a new ship with a slightly changed model.
@@darkheartkain Nah because they could make the ship look however they want, like maybe a variant on the normal sabre which would be easier. People were getting pissy that the normal sabre got a gold standard pass but the Raven didn't which is probably what kicked this off.
So this is basically a saber raven...... Just with missiles? THAT'S KOOL AF!!! I've wanted the raven for along time but they don't sell it at all so THIS ship is as close as I'll get to getting one! Thanks CIG!
this is half the reason i wanna buy this, the YF-23 is so cool, and actually they fixed the one thing i didn't like about the yf23 which is the lack of a bubble canopy
It's a great ship for missile stealth dogfighter. Not a single fighter of that weight class is equipped with as many anti fighter missiles. They just need to work a little bit on the missiles and these will be a great addition for fighter and light bomber/cargo hunting.
@@xCHOZENx I had to remove the audio after upload. I selected one of the few tracks built into youtube. It's called "Cold Blue" until the 3:00 minute mark, the switches to "Peaceful Mind" . They're just generic elevator music youtube offers.
@@spamlikesme problem is for what you get and for the price they probably will charge for one will probably be not worth it since the normal sabre is like 170 so this will be probably 200ish
not the biggest fan of it. kind of disappointed by it being a missile boat. color scheme is not very imaginative either (ripped off a carrack). simply disappointed by it all around, hope they try something more with it in the future, love the raven, but this is a let down. that said- great video, thanks for the detailed look of it!
Yuck. It should have been a QED version of the Sabre Raven. Would have made so much more sense with all the red particle effects from the QED device. Instead we get a weaker version of the Talon Shrike.
with all due respect this ship is prolly dead on arrival one of the worst sabre variants and i feel the only reason peeps wil get this ship is its looks, it is ment to be a missile ship that can fire up to 6 rockets at a time you cant shange the rocket pods for smaller missiles yust to carry more then the 12 so yust two shots and its empty and then you have the underwhelming 2x s3 gunns i mean cmon even the normal sabre can carry 8 missiles if size 2 or even 16 missiles if you shange out the rack for size one missiles and also 4 s3 gunns on the normal sabre/comet they need to destroy that intel contract and yust release the darn raven in another way maybe as a combi with tobii or smthing(also make this long term not yust buy now insert this month).
and they're laughing at you. Because they do have 2 EMPs and data running potential. And FireClown is just a pile of crap that is worse than existing Talon Shrike

I wish Sabre raven also had its wing holes removed. Firebird looks a lot better without them, even though overall profile is the same.
I'm on the fence. I have a Raven and love it's design, but I also like the Firebird with the filled in wing section as well.

Talon shrike, light fighter, warbond price 90$, and has twice as many missile as this has. Talon shrike has 24 S3 missiles.

This canopy is so beautiful. Threre are no struts. It's a completely unobstructed view, like there's no glass at all between you and the verse.

The expo is only open a few hours each day. You have to watch CIGs chatter in their testing channel to gauge when.

Yeah not a good PVP dogfighting ship. Just fun for missile spam and probably handles great for low flying in atmosphere.

The expo halls are only open a few hours a day. The elevators are disabled most of the time.
