@@samakun3603 Then how are you supposed to beat them if they aren't stunned? Try to make it thru a Grandmaster without being able to stun an Overload or Barrier Champion one single time. Dumbest comment of the year.
that's for me the most annoying thing in the game, it should have a warning mark on the floor before it drop.. plus in onslaught mode you sometime have to cap a zone where cabal pod drop. this is soooo stupid..
IDK who thought the tonic system was a good idea but it isnt and never will be. You gotta grind so you can grind 🙄 Attunement in 'Into the Light' was perfect. Pick a weapon to attune, play the activity that will give you the drops and then grind that way. Im tired of materials for this, materials for that, make 5 of these to unlock this, make 5 of these to unlock that and dont forget a time limit 😴 When you see something that resonates with the player base and gets good to great feedback, you dont get rid of it, you BUILD ON IT!
@@H_e_X_nI still think focusing is better than attunement, cuz attunement doesn't guarantee you the weapon. There are some people I know that never got the role that they wanted from into the Light, which means that attunement didn't do its job
- Health regeneration bug in strikes still an issue - Incorrect elements on guns - Ikora and Season Pass flashing for a goddamn month - Perks like B&S not proccing consistently - Teleporting adds ALL THE TIME - Contest of Elders Scorn rooms not progressing, bugging out entire run - Guitar and Weasel error codes - Slow API calls in DIM
Is the bait and switch thing an acknowledged bug? Bait and switch has been working fine for me but i have noticed that envious arsenal is activating inconsistently
I still can’t believe more people haven’t mentioned that perk weighting has been a thing for over 8 years. It was 100% discussed when Matador 64 and Eyasluna originally released in D1. I didn’t come up with this on my own, and yet I clearly remember the exact same conversation regarding grinding for these weapons as certain perk combos were incredibly rare on those 2 weapons.
This games uniqueness is whats carried d2 for all these years. Same shit as for honor. Nothing else like it, so people will put up whatever bs bungo dishes out. This game could easily still be topping the most played mmorpg games of all time if it had different management. I can only imagine being a dev right now dealing with this company lmao. Truly soul sucking.
@ I don’t disagree with that at all. I still play, because simply there isn’t much out there on this level. Warframe comes close for me, but both have their ups and downs. Fortunately Warframe content sticks around, so end of season slumps in Destiny are easily filled by swapping over for a few weeks.
You just described all of Corporate life everywhere. Fast tracked Execs who just have a look or sound that they want to be the face of the company. And all their care about is the stock price. Because they all know they won’t be around forever so who cares about the company in 10yrs. This ain’t just Bungie, it’s everywhere.
it’s because only titans play this game. Bungie has made it clear they hate warlocks. From constant nerfs, lame abilities, ignoring our buffs, and giving titans unlimited supers (consecration is a super), bungie has made it clear warlocks don’t belong in this game.
Bruh...Titan prismatic is absolute dookie..ok I don't wanna hear that nonsense...though all prismatics could use an upgrade... except hunters...@@RohanPaliwal-g2l
Old man here, I am permanently disabled, no friends or family ever visit and over last 10 years, I have kept my playing time up and have been able to keep up my desire to play, which the game does not longer do for me anymore. So many changes and very seldom is it a change we desire in the game. Sad though, such a great franchise and would definitely do better by listening to the players who have spoken loudly and frequently. Constantly glitching in some way....
Most of us abused it when it was bugged first week and never touched it again. I have 6 runs of the activity and all were those week 1 bugged runs otherwise there's no point playing it since there's no crafting to actually have a reason to run it for drops.
It be nice if Bungie left the light level alone and quit resetting every season, or instead of winning catalyst through crucible, strikes and Knightfalls you could get them in Xurs treasure chest. But I think that last part has been implemented.
to be honest though there were some builds (atleast on titan) which could easily get through it… yes that was also with not abusing the glitched arena either. And before anyone asks yes I did use the exotic glass item (syntho+inmost)
@ I get that, I use it too all the time.. but still there are maybe 2-3% of all players who can pull it off and it’s the main seasonal activity, it isn’t supposed like doing 4-5 GMs
Stuff is just too long. Dungeons, exotic quests and Gms. The focus is on endurance. How are you "farming" in content that demands 30-40 mins, sometimes an hour or more. Its just not worth it.
Last week and this week im skipping GM's. They dont make it challenging, they just make it annoying and then they complain when everybody uses consecration titan.
Agreed! Tether disabled, no fix for it for months, 4 perks on world drop weapons: fixed with the quickness! Revision Zero's hunter's trace sniper shots disappear randomly even in 4 burst mode, onslaught bonus quests (collect the light pillars) bugged, onslaught spawn points still bugged... Anything remotely beneficial to the player is patched or fixed, but things that negatively impact how we can just play the game? Nah, play around it. "Bungie bringing back the challenge to Destiny!"
@@itztizzle I've only been playing for a year now, and i mean PLAYING (I'm at almost 2.5k hours) and it went from being excited to get on and to play the new updates to slowly just feeling like it was a chore. You could FEEL the difference after the layoffs, and it's really sad to see yet another game with such amazing potential get ruined yet again by investors and upper management
@@itztizzle I can attest to that, I work at a super center called Meijer (it’s similar to Walmart) and every, and I mean EVERY, single change given to us by the executives has only made working harder and more stressful. The people who make the worst decisions, somehow manage to always be at the top, and anyone who is not an executive always suffers for it.
Not just the gaming industry. Itztizzle said it best in this video. The norm of upper management is trying to get more out of less personnel. They just want to take in more money for themselves and things suffer because of it.
My favorite teleporting ads: Onslaught on level 49 and a phalanx teleports behind you while your defending the giant dildo and you get deleted into the wall or off the map
Bro that happend to me and I was like okIf this was not RGN and on purpose im not playing this game anymore. That shit cant be a bug. Turned off xbox right after.
The tether one kills me. I hated telling both my hunter friends that they can’t use tether in Vesper. It’s a shame all of this is happening because I love playing the game, I still get hours of fun out of it, but I’m worried about the future when these bugs are plaguing the game in addition to the dropping player base that I’ve been noticing over the past couple months.
In the exact same boat @Clyde-6 Absolutely love the game and it puts a smile on my face And has for nearly the past 10 years I've been playing it But more recently I've noticed a larger feeling of worry and dread due to the diminishing player count My friends list is essentially a graveyard With 2-3 people showing up online.. I believe the devs who are left still care and wanna make the game good But it's just their diminished team, and quite frankly garbage upper management I simply can't see a positive future of the foreseeable time.. Don't get me wrong I'll be here until the servers shutdown But if they do Boy will that be a gut-wrenching day Might even be the day I sell all consoles (unless some good news about Borderlands 3 drops😂😂)
After taking a short break playing some new Nintendo games, I go back and realized how much it isn’t fun. I’ve played D2 for a GOOD while, and can’t believe it got to this point.
I remember an article published in the wake of the first round of layoffs last where it was mentioned that most QA roles are outsourced now, meaning the people testing for bugs are much less familiar with even the basics of the game and how exactly things can be pushed to their limits,
Agree with this entirely. Gameplay-wise we're in one of the best places we've ever been, lots of very fun kits and loadouts out there to use, but the bugs are probably the worst ive seen since worthy, and this still might beat that. I mean ffs, two of the brand new exotics launched with major issues that severely impact their performance, one of which literally did not work for over a month.
yeah I always say if Destiny 2 released tomorrow (without the bugs) it would be the biggest game on the market. So many fun exotics and builds you can make and top tier gunplay and game feel. But the bugs have put a major damper on things this season
I think even gameplay wise it's stale, prismatic got old fast and there's just no reason to run loadouts and kits in this game, its either all activities are easy or choose the master/grandmaster variant that gives no real good rewards. The gameplay factor of D2 over D1 never mattered to me personally cus there's just no reason to ever play this game besides exotic collecting.
Small add on, every weapon that we get as a reward recently from a quest also seems to have unrollable perks. That they then they fix after a few weeeks
5:34 "no one is perfect" I remember when they did a nerf to Arbalest and accidentally applied the nerf to every heavy linear. I guess it takes a perfect human to recognize that every linear is not Arbalest and maybe think just a liiiiiiiiiittle bit about what they're changing in the code lmao Good thing these people are not the engineers working on bridges, airplanes, and other things that will actually kill people if they were half-assing it. Granted, I would be half-assing it too if my employer was this terrible
Im telling you their tiger engine is the problem. This is why they've done so many workarounds rather than direct fixes only for it to get undone or worse every patch. Vaulting content? Lack of storage space? Teleporting enemies? Telesto? Sadly this all couldve been forgotten if they had been working on d3 under a new engine but we all know what happened over at bungie instead so bye bye lmao.
My university friend play game and he watch me watching a video of world recprd run under 10 minute on gm nightfall -destiny 2? -yea -is it good ,cause i want to buy dlc -well currently its not good but if you want dlc .its more like pay to unlock or pay to win cause of ability spam .i recommend just play warframe -bro ,warframe is grindy -and so destiny 2 ,but at least its free to play and grind the loot more enjoyable rather than grindinf the same weapon only stat abd perk change
4:10 this is what happens when you have a publicly traded company after dodge v ford. You have a legal obligation to maximize shareholder value at any expense, so companies play number games and do stupid cost cuts that end up costing them more. In pursuit of providing that short term shareholder value, you end up killing the company. These drastic player losses despite the quality of the final shape might actually be the end of the game.
Just checked when the earliest video of Tizzle I watched was: about 8 months ago. I liked what he said and did in terms of content (especially past 4 months, when I started watching every vid). Before today, I thought he was a great content creator, I liked his take and the way he made his vids. But...THIS vid truely cemented my respect for his opinion/commentary as a content creator, he doesnt blame the devs that are working in Bungie right now (unlike some ppl), but identifies the underlying problem ( the layoffs ). Moreover, he brings it back to be relateable and approaches the whole concept from a logical percpective. I don't know if I make sense, but this vid just hit different. Thanks Tizzle for be so authentic, please dont change like so many before you have.
The Management has got to go. I dont think recovery is possible with the current leadership. I'm sure they know it too and are just holding on for their Golden Parachute. The should be fired before they tank the whole company.
Trying to snag a noxious vetiver with voltshot after seeing a video stopped my doing seasonal stuff. Tonics, joining in progress, getting no SMGs 30 minute runs when you get lucky? Yeah, no thanks. After we finish GMs for the season, it's probably a break. Unsure if they fixed the catch up node limit. We'll see.
I gave up this past weekend trying to solo GMs. Ads teleporting drove me crazy. They would teleport right behind me and just smack the shit outta me. OMG.. I got so mad at the glitchy crap, I haven't played since.
i was severl times in the boss room and the boss teleports so often right behind me and killed me before i even have reaction time. i'm really pissed about those teleports over and over again
Tonics didnt work for me before some players found out about the incorrect weapon drop buff lately. I kinda move on like they dont even exist. 2 more days and Buddha know maybe I'd never have to return to D2 again
And a few days after this video was released, bungie accidentally made an overpriced event card free and immediately patched it and fixed its price yet ignores other bugs in the game. You love to see it.
Yeah the fact that all of the weapon focusing for this season is locked behind tonics that don't drop the stupid weapons at all is lame. Especially the Tomb tonics...they just don't work. What's the point of playing any of that content if you can't focus the weapons you want. It's the only reason I play that content...to get the rolls of weapons to do other stuff with.
I hate to be that guy, but the major problem with games nowadays, especially live service is that people tolerate and put up with things for too long. Oh the game has bugs, oh there are problems in this activity or this and that, but I am having, "fun" so I'll gladly ignore it. All my sunk cost justifies me playing, but in reality it doesn't. If people continue to spend and support a company or product while it's failing miserably, then you can only blame yourself. Look at all these triple a pieces of crap that get shipped, people still pre-order, people still play and get burned, then come to youtube to write angry comments about how people shouldn't pre-order and support these business practices, then they go back to pre-ordering. How about stop enabling this crap and hold companies feet to the fire and hold them accountable. Bungie doesn't wanna address issues or fix things? Okay, nobody is gonna play or log on or pre-order or buy anything until these issues get resolved. Watch how fast said issues get resolved.
Spot on about every single word. It's so depressing to see the state this game is in and the seemingly inevitable worsening of all of these issues post-layoffs makes it really hard for me to want to come back. I quit when the layoffs were announced, I was taking a break from the game for a couple weeks and I just never went back. I miss the game, but it feels like the current state of the game isn't worth going back to, and that the future of the game isn't worth having much hope or faith in, to no fault of the developers themselves. The devs at Bungie love their game and it's so apparent, but we're here because the soulless execs don't share that. Like Paul spoke about in his videos, QA teams being completely gutted means we're not only getting less and arguably worse content, but the content we are getting is riddled with sometimes game-breaking bugs. I love Bungie, I love this game, and I want it and the studio to be able to crawl back from this...but it's really hard to see how that can possibly happen with player numbers continuing to dwindle and more layoffs almost seeming like an inevitability at some point especially if the new DLC model doesn't perform well next year. The state of things is honestly just really truly sad.
Its literally impossible to try and do overthrow in pale heart. Cant even progress past the first or second stage before getting error code guitar, makes it impossible to grind Ergo Sum and now even harder to get class items since they tied the drop rates to overthrow progress. Ive played 8 years coming on 9, and man this is just sad. Worst part is that i just cant find another game to scratch the itches the destiny does. Maybe soon itll finally die off so I have no choice but to find something else.
I watched Destiny Rising streams. No joke it’s looks FUN. A mobile game and it’s not out yet, just a closed alpha. Also its NOT made by Bungie. They don’t have their nasty hands in it. Made by NetEase I think. It looked fun and like a chill relaxed Destiny. Not so sweaty. So I think it would be great for me.
what is completely appalling to me is that you have to pay for the fucking season pass in order to do pretty much all of the new stuff in the episode it’s absolutely insane how i have to fork over 15 bucks for fucking wave based content.
That’s a WEAK take. It’s $15 for four months of updated current content in a live-service game, in 2024. That’s 94 cents per week. I played subscription-based live-service games OVER TWENTY YEARS AGO that cost more than 3x that price per week. There’s nothing “appalling” within what you’re complaining about. Your lack of functional brain cells, though? That IS fairly appalling.
Sony needs to clean house fully, it's rotten from the top down. Activision was never the problem, obiviously Bungie was with their utter BS of "Don't Over Deliver." The Seasons/Episodes model was trash from the start! Bungie's behavior is truly dispicable predatory behavior. Absolutely NO RESPECT for the player's time. They did this to themselves, let it burn.
Probably because Bungie doesn’t know how to keep the game consistently enjoyable for most players outside of expansions. Look at how many people expansions bring in and how many people they lose after the expansion release wears off.
And it becomes more true every quarter. He said in the efforts to cut money they ended up cutting positions, ultimately the game gets more watered down, and ultimately more people leave than come in. So yes. This is every quarter lol
I stopped playing right before Act 3 Echoes started because I my eyes started hurting, but I've also never felt like coming back to Destiny. It's a shame, because I liked playing during Lightfall and the Final Shape campaign, but the echoes season was mid and my friends had moved on to other games. I hate how I bought the Final Shape annual pass, but will never play it.
I haven't played in a few weeks now. I'll come back for act 3 and Episode 3 for a bit. They are not only going to lose good players, but also good staff. I can't imagine how tough it must be to work on Destiny right now. Short staffed and nearly everything you do is overlooked. All you see when you look at social media is that you suck at your job. Not speaking on your video. You did a great job covering this in a respectful way.
I just pray they don’t think another sunset will help. I’ll walk away for good, I’m honestly here what little sense of nostalgia I can find. It almost seems like Destiny 3 if they are going to release it, is the best chance they have at redemption.
I talked an old friend into coming back to D2 after him taking a 2 year hiatus & now we are trying to figure out what else to play together besides this "game". We run Duals a lot & his titan(only) has a visual glitch on the clock parts & his weapon takes a while to do damage to his wizards in the last room, it's really sad how far this game has gone down hill.
I'm not one to join the trashing D2 bandwagon, but man, you and Paul are very right. I was running the Arms Delaer GM with one of my clan brothers, and we kept having to start the run over because the mission kept glitching before the start of the Tormentor encounter. Man, we tried 5 times and kept getting the same glitch at the same point during the GM. The glitch would not allow the objective to clear after we finished the objective. Leaving us stuck in at the end of the encounter with no way to clear the objective. This was very frustrating as I like to test my skills as a newer (ish) player in GMs. Regarding the tonics, I enjoy it, and I hope they can fix the current bugs. I also feel that crafting is a great system but should complement the weapon grind. I would love to have one principal weapon role and all other drops of that weapon, should allow me to add any new barrels, mags, and perks that my principal role does not have to my principal role via crafting. That way, you have one gun in your vault with all the barrels, mags, and perks that you want for your playstyle. I'm not sure why Bungie is (in my opinion) sabotaging one of the greatest games ever made. Ohh yeah, Marathon.... Now it makes sense... D2 has to die so Marathon can thrive. Guys, I'll be playing D2 even with the current state of the game. I'm just gonna chose my pursuits carefully. Sorry for the rant but keep up the great work, Tizzle. I will continue to support all your new content. 🍻
I feel like this video hits the nail on the head. I played this game for years as well. I took a break after Curse of Osiris, but came back during Forsaken and have played it non-stop since. Most recently, I've been taking place in the Day 1 raids. I grinded my booty off and managed to clear Salvation's Edge on Contest. The Final Shape was the highlight of my time playing Destiny, with it feeling like everything was at its peak and all finally synergizing. The effort of builds, Light 3.0, weapon reworks, crafting, and prismatic gave us an excellent sandbox. The endgame felt more alive than ever with tons of people engaged and running challenges. Hell, patrols felt alive with the focus put on them in Lightfall and TFS. I played through the end of Echoes which felt like a complete slough. The game's broken state and lack of direction is a clear side-effect of how the management team laid off so much of the dev team. It has become clear that the seasonal activities are doomed to remain rote and monotonous with their purpose to solely be there to give players something to grind to keep them playing the game. The endgame activities released alongside them are the only things worth engaging with. Hopefully the shifts in content towards more diverse and unique experiences with Apollo and Behemoth will actually give players something worth engaging with. Now that they've finished up their main story with TFS they have the opportunity to fully lean into the diverse experiences that Destiny can support with its gameplay. Rogue-likes, survival-esque, metroidvanias, etc. I have hope for the future of the game, but the seasonal model as it stands is just not it.
I was working on my Void Warlord build and wanted to test it against normal but kinda tough enemies, so I went to Neomuna to patrol a bit. I got told my connection was bad and I had to be re-connected 6 times before I said "nah, I'm out"
Was that last weekend? I had exactly the same issue. I’d just finished the LF campaign ( it was €2.99 on offer ) then I wanted to start on a couple of quests so I went on patrol and was constantly kicked and reconnected over and over again for about 2hrs…Once I was kicked just before opening the chests for terminal overload only to be reconnected and get the message “requires event participation”…..Aaaaargh! Ikora has been flashing for 3 months now, last month it was the Cryptarch. We had Eva giving out a Soltice quest for Halloween 🤦♂️ Multiple audio bugs while loading/travelling to a destination. Inventory and transmog menu not loading in, shaders not loading previews. The list goes on.
There's about 70 people in my clan. Even on Tuesday reset, I might see 1 or 2 members get on. We've always been extremely active up until this episode... Destiny is definitely in a bad spot...
What's even sadder is that this out-of-touch management issue is present in every company and every industry in which I've worked over the past 30 years. It's exactly as you say - they balk at spending money to do things properly only to have it bite them in the ass and cost much, much more later. I've seen it happen more times than I can count. I'm honestly at a point where I have no idea how anything has ever been created in these environments! As an out-of-work developer myself, I also want to say thank you for recognizing they (Bungie Devs) are not the problem, and while I don't know any of the remaining Bungie employees personally, I'm willing to be you called that right as well - they are getting killed trying to do the same amount of work that was done before losing all those people.
@@itztizzle Here’s the thing. Being a game dev is a highly specialized field. You have a lot of learning to do to get up to speed with the environment, toolchain and all, and that mainly comes from education and years of battle-tested experience. The skill of spinning bullshit, on the other hand, is extremely versatile and transferable. It spans industries and has a strong presence in any given market. Call it what you want, being politically astute and good at communicating are wonderful attributes, but there are many people that turn around and think it’s a fair substitute for actual domain knowledge and experience. People like this ending up in charge is a failure of the management that came before them. It’s a downward spiral and kind of a microcosm of how civilizations rot from the inside.
I noticed most of the bugs when revenant dropped. I never had these severe of issues when echoes was out. -Cascade point taking FOREVER to proc now. -B&S not even procing -WHAT IS WITH THE TELEPORTING ADS -Horrible, absolutely god awful, matchmaking. I'm in eastern US and I match with literal people from china.. CONSISTENTLY!!! This game isn't that dead. -Health regen seems to be weird in prison of elders and strikes. Sometimes it doesn't even come back. Yes, without the prison perk on.
QA being gone really makes an impact. Most devs have been moved to the summer 2025 and beyond projects as well, so everything until then will probably be half-baked. Bungie is not okay, but honestly it’s a good thing. It proves they’re pushing their effort to the future of D2 which is the best for the game I think.
Why should seasons that most people paid for in advance with TFS getting left in the dust be celebrated? Nothing on you, but the takes of "yeah all the paid content sucks rn but better luck next time!" are wild
@@icarusrising2787i’m not celebrating the poor roll out of seasons. what i’m saying is the product we have now is very indicative of a company that slashed ~30% of jobs in 12 months. i don’t think anyone anticipated this game looking like this just 6 months out of their highest reviewed expansion since TTK and the fact that they’re switching to a free expansion model addresses that concern you have. bungie listens and i respect that. a lot of dev companies these days don’t care at all about their base.
@youngslorp celebrated was the wrong word, my bad. I should've said "given lenience", especially since Bungie absolutely knew that they were slashing more jobs. When the second round of layoffs happened it was reported that these were going to be made regardless of the success of TFS meaning that those in charge knew that this would be the state of the studio when attempting to sell people on the new seasonal model, episodes. Making something free doesn't really address concerns, it's just to try and get new players. Tbh, the last time they made things free it all ended up in the DCV and/or lost support (such as gambit and the mess of balance that is the other two core playlists) so it doesn't really fill me with hope for the future of the seasonal model.
yeah this season has been one of the buggest seasons in general. qa really took a big hit and because of that, the games quality has to suffer. but also in general, the shift of management and the choices made that are completely tone deaf to what players want; bringing pinnacle grind back, making seasonal weapons not craftable, and come apollo; having to regrind armor every 6 months to partake in whatever the seasonal shit will be just doesn’t sound fun to me (i know, blah blah blah d2 players hate playing the game, but gaming is supposed to be fun, this doesn’t sound fun to me lol). this doesn’t give me hope for the future of the game, it’s pretty clear d2 is on the back burner as marathon is being worked on, and at this point i don’t even know if ill continue to play after heresy considering most friends who played the game still don’t even play anymore.
I've said it before, I'll say it again: Destiny 2 should NOT have continued past Shadowkeep/Beyond Light. Bungie was 100% NOT ready to do something like perpetually develop a single game nonstop for years. Destiny 2 was not DESIGNED to be perpetually updated so long. When they had to resort to the DCV and deprive new players the possibility of playing old content, they went too far. Destiny 3 development should have started, minimum, three years ago. Instead they've been splitting their attention to work on seasonal content and yearly DLC that has been hit and miss, and an old game series that they decided to turn into a modern extraction shooter. Arguably, if they had just focused on D2 instead of D2 and Marathon, we may have been in a better position than we are right now. But as it stands, D2 has been under developed for years now, no matter how you slice it.
Great take man. I watched your build-crafting video and it's helped me learn a lot. It's nice to use your builds as well as few other streamer (special shoutout to Duddits II/Spade/Maven) as a starting point and then adjusting for my type of game play. Keep up the good work
I CONSTANTLY get disconnected from Neomuna (attempting to reestablish connection to servers); specifically Zephyr Concourse. Once I get there, sometimes it'll take no more than one minute, or sometimes ten, before disconnection. Though I rarely, if ever, get disconnected from other planets and/or locations and this only started happening since Revenant dropped and it's extremely frustrating. Makes me not want to go to Neomuna, even though it is my favorite place to play.
yeah its gotten to the point where a few warlock sols have colliders for explosive weapons that prevent us from using explosive weapons in raids and doungons rendering them effectively useless to us when sometimes we need the souls for a little extra damage or to help with ad clear
Got over 20+ close friends from college playing D2, now down to 2-3 person only. I’ve dropped D2 after Final Shape cuz of the burnt out with the grind. It’s sad seeing one of my favourite game come to this state ☹️
It's really depressing. More than a year ago i left destiny, my favorite game of all time. Even now it still hurts me. Seeing it fall from top 10 most played to 50 is just sad af. The raids, the solo dungeons, the master strikes..... Honestly F### bungie for killing this game
I feel like Bungie is waiting for Sony to put up the money to fix their crap! Sony will just basically take what’s working make up a new model and we’ll lose what destiny used to be!!!
Thank you so much for actually talking about the layoffs in this context. So many creators are complaining about bugs without mentioning that so many of the people who used to fix them just don't work there anymore.
But speaking of buggy GMs, there is still the bug where you can force crash the game when you're out of lives and load back into the fireteam with a new life. This game is more of a joke than it's ever been.
I don't mean to say this to start any drama, but I say it as an example of what happens when a studio listens to their audience and prioritize the right things for a game. After quitting D2 back in March 2023, I gave Warframe a chance, after playing for a while I decided to dive bit deeper into the development of the game as it has been out for more than a decade and it is still thriving. For my surprise you can play this game from start to finish (10+ years worth of content), they have not vaulted any storylines or planets. Also, they managed to upgrade their engine several times, if you watch older trailers you would notice that the game used to look like crap, but now with the latest expansions I would say it looks better than D2. They even remastered older content and are now implementing the new lighting into older tile sets, that right there is what Bungie should have done with year 1-3 content instead of vaulting it. Personally I love Destiny 2 BUT I refuse to contribute to Bungie's greed, just like you I do not blame the devs but upper management for all the problems the game current has, I worry even more now that key people are no longer with the studio.
Every time I make a fun build in D2, it seems like it gets nerfed or disabled the next day. For example, I made a Ballidorse build for Birthplace GM, had fun, and suddenly everyone posts about a bug, and it's disabled. This cycle of builds getting broken/disabled ruins the game for me-especially in PvE, where balance shouldn't matter as much. Let players choose how they want to enjoy content, whether that's playing meta, cheesing, or experimenting. Constantly disabling builds while ignoring bigger issues in raids or encounters feels unfair.
TL;DR: Management overall, not just in game studios, often prioritizes cuts or restrictions on departments that do not directly give back profit and oftentimes leads to unnecessary suffering on the employee side and the client/consumer side of things. I've worked Security at a variety of places over the better part of the last decade (two different manufacturers and a hospital). Security was often the last to see any type of help from management and we were often in the crosshairs of any type of budgetary cuts (or given more "diverse" tasks like watering plants, I kid you not, so they could save a bit of money) that were needed to be made because on paper we didn't contribute anything that led to increased numbers or production (as in there were not "metrics" that were graphed to determine our worth to our bosses other than complaints from employees, or patients when at the hospital). I imagine it's something very similar for QA and CM teams on game development studios.
Putting all the blame on the upper management and none of it at the feet of the dev's is why this game never got better and will never be what it could have been. Everyone shields the dev's when many of the problems with the game are in fact their fault
Thanks for a great take on the current issues. It’s obvious a lot of things are not right, but the workers at Bungie deserve our support to get it fixed; they don’t want a broken game either. Thanks
The Pale Heart as a whole seems like a hot mess. Constantly getting randomly booted to orbit while trying to simply complete a section of the map for the Ergo Sum ( not even in a matchmaking Overthrow... just solo). Also, after getting booted to orbit like this several times.. I then got errors that game files could not be read and had full game crashes to desktop. The solution for my issue required me to delete the local temp folder for Destiny and full uninstall/re-install of the game. PITA. PSA: Stay away from the Pale Heart IMO until they sort things out.
One I haven’t seen others talk about, is getting stuck after using Titan thruster near any ramp like area. It freezes your character from all actions until it determines you’ve moved the appropriate distance… aaaaaaand, “You’ve unlocked this subclass.” Haha
Its so unfortunate. This video likely comes like most frustration, from passion. We love this game, so much potential and so unique but seeing the state of it is very saddening. Since around season of the deep bugs started to pop up and only a few of them. Here in revenant the game is basically falling apart what I dont understand is shouldnt a bug like the being unable to make tonics literally LOCKING YOU OUT OF ALL SEASONAL CONTENT is still around in act 2 of the season. Shouldnt this be a big priority?Last week while farming a sidearm my last milestone gave no memento and no pinnacle. These bugs are hurting a playerbase that has taken such an beating in the feelings since the layoffs. Now you never know whats broken is the new updates. Nothing we can really do but hope for improvement though. Episode 3 is gonna launch in a rough sandbox. Sorry for the tangent and sorry that the state of the game is pushing you away a bit. Hopefully frontiers turns things around.
Finished Final Shape and uninstalled. Icebreaker came back so I went for that, and after it dropped, uninstalled again. I'm playing through Baldurs gate with 3 friends right now, POE 2 on my own time, and Black Ops 6 when my co workers hop on. I have 10k hours in the destiny series, and I feel like I've finally broken the damn cycle. Theres too many amazing games out there to keep doing this song and dance with Bungie
The biggest thing causing my non-enjoyment of Destiny had to have been Champions. NOTHING was a bigger buzz kill than being told what I HAD to use in order to complete content. Pretty much the main reason I stopped playing, I got tired of playing the way Bungie wanted me to play.
I got bored halfway through Act 1 of Revenant, and stopped playing after I unlocked Superblack during FotL. Sounds like I got out just in time to avoid the infuriating boredom and buggy game updates. Bungie has many people in high places that don't play the game and don't know what it needs to improve, and they simply don't care because they are still making a profit. For now.
You are unfortunately quite right. I used to play usually after weekly reset on Tuesday and then on Friday. Right now I am not even bothered and quite often, after playing for just a moment I just shut down the game. Also the friends I have do not play as often as they used to, so the element of having fun friends is not there neither. Also with the introduction of new subclasses and massive changes to PvP they are going away from PvP as well. In their words, it is more about abilities now than anything else. I remember that 6 months long 600 rpm AR meta, was annoying for sure but not as much as now with the abilities. I would say season 4 and 5 were so far the best.
Let's not forget that people still don't have their names. This is the worst season ever. I go weeks without playing & when I do, it's just to go to eververse. It's not worth my time when stuff doesn't work correctly & you can't get drops
i think one thing to consider when talking about the loot reward systems in destiny, is which audience each system is designed for & how it feels for each audience to acquire that loot - crafting, is very casual focused with little emphasis on replaying activities & is touted as a catchup mechanic (but what are we catching up to?) - attunement, is more hardcore focused as it doesn't guarantee the weapon drop desired, resulting in higher hardcore engagement but less casual - perk attunement, on exotic class items instantly spiked numbers for all players farming for them, meaning all players like having a degree of control over the rng perks - double perks, is more hardcore focused as resolving vault space issues, as well as build issues is a HUGE plus for hardcore players - focusing, is in between but without double perks via a rank reset, people can get hundreds of engrams deep & not get the reward, leading to a very pendulum like rng effect - tokens, rewarded time but not skill, resulting in hardcore players feeling like their time was disrespected & casuals access to all weapons with very little skill investment i personally think the solution for specifically seasonal content is as follows; 1. red borders should only obtainable via the weekly red border enhancement this allows less hardcore players a catchup mechanic & hardcore players an extreme rng curb that allows them to at worst, get the weapon they want for the hundreds of hours of time put in 2. focusing should be the main source of gear acquirement this allows hardcore players an avenue to exceed casual players whilst also siphoning casual players from their casual playstyle with a rewarding and fairer loot chase 3. double perks should appear on focused gear after resetting your seasonal rank once (or twice at the most) this again allows hardcore players an avenue to exceed casual players but with a huge upside of build options, which often ends up hindering hardcore players vault spaces; resulting in a stronger & more time investing grind for each hardcore players very own "personal god roll" this also allows casual players a way to effective "jump in" to any current season & allows their overall time investment in the season to mean more than just hoping for red borders i think these would make for an entertaining seasonal content loop, especially when paired with whatever bungie cooks up for seasonal mechanics, like tonics, ketch crew, fishing, etc.
I stopped playing destiny at the end of the first episode and i'm so glad, i have 0 interest of playing and have even less interest as i read news and statements like this It's not only the layoffs that you can feel, but also the upper management policy of artifically increasing playtime I can't beleieve the perk bias issue wasnt fixed until 2 weeks ago, when we'd been complaining with very tangible evidence for years
I have some old quests that doesn't complete when done. Chest in echoes mission, forging anew (if it disappeared it would be fine, but annoying to not be able to complete) and playing a mission for monte Carlo doesn't check when done in the time line. Simple fixes but as you say...they're probably swamped after the layoffs...
1:25 this teleports gets out of control but it began before the lay off. every episode/season it gets more and more and it''s anoying af. i'm not willing to play 30 times 45min in a solo GM to find out there is no way to avoid it and it's pure RNG if you die or not to the boss.
This is a common problem in companies all over the place. You'll have people in management make a power point presentation that they show in a meeting. It will show they can save the company X% in overhead expenses and it translates to this amount of money over time. Then it's like "wow great job, high five, let's go get some Starbucks". Then that's usually the end of it. They don't consider how that will effect things down the line and anything that backfires on them will always be somebody else's fault. Also the expectations from employees and the metrics they use to determine success will never change. They might gut a department's staff, but the deadlines and quality/quantity of work is expected to stay the same.
I think the main issue is that if you take a break for a week or a month, it takes too long to catch up, and several activities or items become unavailable during that time.
I agree. The list of problems associated with this game is now infinite. Yes, my time is valuable too, and when you put your time and concentration into an activity and something happens that kicks you out, is beyond frustrating. I used to be proud to say I play Destiny, but not anymore. Bungie has lost their grip on the game. I feel if they can't fix as many of the issues as they can, so we can play an encounter, then they just need to let the game die. Let us move on.
reading the comments really makes me wanna cry, because i specifically had a problem with my health regeneration yesterday when i was playing onslaught in a lfg, i was playing solar titan with red death and precious scars but i was still struggling to keep me alive. what pisses me off is that I can't say for sure if that was a bug or if was some sort of modifier because this games refuses to show you debuffs in a consistent way, some of them you can see on screen others you literally have to look in a menu in the middle of a game. the activity was still very fun, but the fact that I can't tell when I'm being affected by a bug or when the game is working properly is beyond annoying. I'm used to buggy games since I've been playing Warframe for years i have more than 1k hours there so I've seen a lot of bugs, but I don't think i ever felt so annoyed by bugs like now
After 10 years of playing the Destiny franchise, I had enough in September this year (2024). Bungie hyped up the exotic class items to encourage buyers. I grinded my booty to get certain perks on a Titan & Warlock class items. Not even 4 months after The Final Shape, Bungie nerfs the F out the perks making the class item useless. I wasted too much of time and money...no more! I love playing The First Descendant...The developers are quick and awesome.
Yeah the fact that adds that fail to pathfind just... warp around right next to you, including EXPLODERS, was left in the game for years is just... they've been dropping the ball for years
And there are still some of us that can't even make use of Tonics cause we are bugged and LOCKED OUT from even making them since the launch of the episode.....
1:30 it's not even just that this is a problem now, enemies (that shouldn't be able to) randomly teleporting across the entire map for zero reason has been a destiny 2 classic for many years at this point. destiny 3 would've been a good decision but now that that's out of the question, this is what we're stuck with.
6:18 I see no reason to give these people any more grace. They’ve had 5 years of it and have been taking a piss on the grace we gave them since Forsaken
People talking about tonics not working properly and I’m over here like.. “yall can craft tonics”? Haven’t been able to craft em on 2/3 characters all season
Champions are still attacking while stunned.
literally been years and still no fix
Tbh they should be able to do that bc champs became way to weak
Some weapons is supposed to stun is useless agents champions.
Radiant is still not working on guns affected by other artefacts mods... so many death to barries counting on Radiant 😆
@@samakun3603 Then how are you supposed to beat them if they aren't stunned? Try to make it thru a Grandmaster without being able to stun an Overload or Barrier Champion one single time. Dumbest comment of the year.
*dies to Cabal drop pod for the millionth time this season*
Should of reacted to the .5 second ground display before it landed.
😩
The only thing that quell the rage is me whispering "they just had to nerf me huh"
You got CaBALLED
that's for me the most annoying thing in the game, it should have a warning mark on the floor before it drop.. plus in onslaught mode you sometime have to cap a zone where cabal pod drop. this is soooo stupid..
IDK who thought the tonic system was a good idea but it isnt and never will be.
You gotta grind so you can grind 🙄
Attunement in 'Into the Light' was perfect. Pick a weapon to attune, play the activity that will give you the drops and then grind that way. Im tired of materials for this, materials for that, make 5 of these to unlock this, make 5 of these to unlock that and dont forget a time limit 😴
When you see something that resonates with the player base and gets good to great feedback, you dont get rid of it, you BUILD ON IT!
so damn true. I talk about this point exactly in tomorrow's video
@itztizzle I'm ready
Unsubscribed!
@@narciszuz thanks for the heads up
@@H_e_X_nI still think focusing is better than attunement, cuz attunement doesn't guarantee you the weapon.
There are some people I know that never got the role that they wanted from into the Light, which means that attunement didn't do its job
- Health regeneration bug in strikes still an issue
- Incorrect elements on guns
- Ikora and Season Pass flashing for a goddamn month
- Perks like B&S not proccing consistently
- Teleporting adds ALL THE TIME
- Contest of Elders Scorn rooms not progressing, bugging out entire run
- Guitar and Weasel error codes
- Slow API calls in DIM
- Unbreakable on prismatic titan is literally unusable for almost a month
Haha I haven’t got any of that stuff .
Is the bait and switch thing an acknowledged bug? Bait and switch has been working fine for me but i have noticed that envious arsenal is activating inconsistently
Wtf what guns have incorrect elements😭😭
@@carlwilhoyte which weapons, exactly, have “incorrect elements”?
I still can’t believe more people haven’t mentioned that perk weighting has been a thing for over 8 years. It was 100% discussed when Matador 64 and Eyasluna originally released in D1. I didn’t come up with this on my own, and yet I clearly remember the exact same conversation regarding grinding for these weapons as certain perk combos were incredibly rare on those 2 weapons.
Yeah there is no way Bungie didn’t know. They just hoped we never noticed
It was never in d1 dummy, it started forsaken
@ wrong. Bungie never acknowledged it, but the community did. Just because you’re uninformed doesn’t make someone else a “dummy”, lol.
You just described all of Corporate life everywhere. Fast tracked Execs who just have a look or sound that they want to be the face of the company. And all their care about is the stock price. Because they all know they won’t be around forever so who cares about the company in 10yrs. This ain’t just Bungie, it’s everywhere.
totally agree
League of Legends and Apex Legends are facing similar issues rn.
Player base is lower than it’s ever been and for good reason
it’s because only titans play this game.

Constantly glitching in some way....
sorry to hear it's weighing on you too. Not surprising though. Hopefully you can find a new and fun game to engage with that has far less issues!
I will give PoE2 a chance. Diablo4 was a disappointment, so maybe PoE2 can get me back into having fun playing a game.
I swear you can try monster hunter world and is going to click with you
Well you can try warframe or space marines 2. 👌
Try warframe
There is not enough talk about the Seasonal activity in act 1 being 60 light level over our starting light level
I noticed that too 😂
Most of us abused it when it was bugged first week and never touched it again.
Not to mention the number of D2 content creators saying they're taking a break from D2 content like Jez. He was one of the OGs I watched in D1.
Bro I did the GM last night and got to the tank section and watched wyverns fly across the map. I was like naaah
I've worked in game dev for a few years now, and upper management has been ruining games for probably 5 years now, and it's getting REALLY old.
yep. It's plaguing everything sadly, not just the games industry. But it really makes me sad that is affecting gaming this much
@@itztizzle I've only been playing for a year now, and i mean PLAYING (I'm at almost 2.5k hours) and it went from being excited to get on and to play the new updates to slowly just feeling like it was a chore.
@@Cqntemplate glad I'm not the only one that feels it in game. I know exactly what you mean
My favorite teleporting ads:
Onslaught on level 49 and a phalanx teleports behind you while your defending the giant dildo and you get deleted into the wall or off the map
Or stomped by the demolitionist
Bro that happend to me and I was like okIf this was not RGN and on purpose im not playing this game anymore. That shit cant be a bug. Turned off xbox right after.
Or when 50 exploder shanks spawning on top of you cause god forbid your on top of the ADU
The tether one kills me. I hated telling both my hunter friends that they can’t use tether in Vesper. It’s a shame all of this is happening because I love playing the game, I still get hours of fun out of it, but I’m worried about the future when these bugs are plaguing the game in addition to the dropping player base that I’ve been noticing over the past couple months.
yep for our day one we were gonna have one of each character and our hunter switched to warlock when we heard about tether being disabled
In the exact same boat @Clyde-6
Absolutely love the game and it puts a smile on my face
And has for nearly the past 10 years I've been playing it
But more recently
I've noticed a larger feeling of worry and dread due to the diminishing player count
My friends list is essentially a graveyard
With 2-3 people showing up online..
I believe the devs who are left still care and wanna make the game good
But it's just their diminished team, and quite frankly garbage upper management
I simply can't see a positive future of the foreseeable time..
Don't get me wrong
I'll be here until the servers shutdown
But if they do
Boy will that be a gut-wrenching day
Might even be the day I sell all consoles (unless some good news about Borderlands 3 drops😂😂)
@@FalloutFan011 yeah, I doubt that will happen any time soon...
Same bro it’s so annoying
The Rimecoat bug is so insane (both in how easy it is to figure it and how annoying it is to deal with)
I think even gameplay wise it's stale, prismatic got old fast and there's just no reason to run loadouts and kits in this game, its either all activities are easy or choose the master/grandmaster variant that gives no real good rewards. The gameplay factor of D2 over D1 never mattered to me personally cus there's just no reason to ever play this game besides exotic collecting.
@@youraveragehotdog6836I left D2 a while ago. I enjoy having a challenge and prismatic made the game stupid easy.
Small add on, every weapon that we get as a reward recently from a quest also seems to have unrollable perks. That they then they fix after a few weeeks
This season could have been monumental but everything that could go wrong did. Story, loot and gameplay are D2's 3 core pillars and their in shambles
5:34 "no one is perfect" I remember when they did a nerf to Arbalest and accidentally applied the nerf to every heavy linear. I guess it takes a perfect human to recognize that every linear is not Arbalest and maybe think just a liiiiiiiiiittle bit about what they're changing in the code lmao
Good thing these people are not the engineers working on bridges, airplanes, and other things that will actually kill people if they were half-assing it.
My university friend play game and he watch me watching a video of world recprd run under 10 minute on gm nightfall
-destiny 2?
-yea
-is it good ,cause i want to buy dlc
-well currently its not good but if you want dlc .its more like pay to unlock or pay to win cause of ability spam .i recommend just play warframe
-bro ,warframe is grindy
-and so destiny 2 ,but at least its free to play and grind the loot more enjoyable rather than grindinf the same weapon only stat abd perk change
4:10 this is what happens when you have a publicly traded company after dodge v ford. You have a legal obligation to maximize shareholder value at any expense, so companies play number games and do stupid cost cuts that end up costing them more. In pursuit of providing that short term shareholder value, you end up killing the company. These drastic player losses despite the quality of the final shape might actually be the end of the game.
yep. You see it time and time again. Short term quarterly earnings take precedence, even at the cost of long term value. It is stupid AF
Thanks Tizzle for be so authentic, please dont change like so many before you have.
thanks for your support! Glad you enjoy the content! I'll always just stay me haha happy people seem to like me the way I am haha
Teleporting ads is crazy
it's been outta hand this episode
@@itztizzleand I’m pretty sure Bungie hasn’t even addressed it, have they?
That shit has been a thing for years
The Management has got to go.
Dude the game was bad even before the layoffs. The Devs have responsibility too.
This 100 percent, QA has always been an issue
Tonics didnt work for me before some players found out about the incorrect weapon drop buff lately. I kinda move on like they dont even exist. 2 more days and Buddha know maybe I'd never have to return to D2 again
And a few days after this video was released, bungie accidentally made an overpriced event card free and immediately patched it and fixed its price yet ignores other bugs in the game. You love to see it.
haha it did age very well lol. The events have been broken for ages, but this one seems especially bad. MANY things wrong
Activision was never the problem, obiviously Bungie was with their utter BS of "Don't Over Deliver."
The Seasons/Episodes model was trash from the start! Bungie's behavior is truly dispicable predatory behavior. Absolutely NO RESPECT for the player's time.
They did this to themselves, let it burn.
This is the same take every quarter or sumtin.
Shouldn’t that tell you something about the game then?
That’s what I’m saying
Probably because Bungie doesn’t know how to keep the game consistently enjoyable for most players outside of expansions. Look at how many people expansions bring in and how many people they lose after the expansion release wears off.
Literally ever since D1. at some point one should realize it’s just the case of online games.
Love your content, but you have listed plenty of reasons to stop playing. I have.
Huh? You stopped writing your comment , are you a bungie worker ?
Bro, I left when they took away my aquarium and fishing, I did not pay for the new season
Awww everyone wanted no more craftable weapons when they finally take out red borders for one season and give us back the shitty drops it dies
They’re basically sunsetting armor but I don’t think the negative impact will be as big.
@@LambentV knowing bungie, give an inch they'll take 2 seasons worth out
@@MakerMontez you mean 2 years worth of dlcs
damn, that is super frustrating when stuff like that happens in GMs. And thanks for the support! Means a lot
@ it was either Sunday or Monday Night, I think. Maybe Tuesday? Been a rough week so I'm just like..exhausted
As an out-of-work developer myself, I also want to say thank you for recognizing they (Bungie Devs) are not the problem, and while I don't know any of the remaining Bungie employees personally, I'm willing to be you called that right as well - they are getting killed trying to do the same amount of work that was done before losing all those people.
yep. Baffling how those people get put in charge. It is really sad to see
@@itztizzle Here’s the thing.
I’m glad I freed myself last august. It’s sad to see it in this state. I grew up on destiny. 🙁
I noticed most of the bugs when revenant dropped. I never had these severe of issues when echoes was out.
-Cascade point taking FOREVER to proc now.
-B&S not even procing
-WHAT IS WITH THE TELEPORTING ADS
-Horrible, absolutely god awful, matchmaking.
Tbh, the last time they made things free it all ended up in the DCV and/or lost support (such as gambit and the mess of balance that is the other two core playlists) so it doesn't really fill me with hope for the future of the seasonal model.
;-; God bless You
Please QUIT
yeah this season has been one of the buggest seasons in general. qa really took a big hit and because of that, the games quality has to suffer. but also in general, the shift of management and the choices made that are completely tone deaf to what players want; bringing pinnacle grind back, making seasonal weapons not craftable, and come apollo; having to regrind armor every 6 months to partake in whatever the seasonal shit will be just doesn’t sound fun to me (i know, blah blah blah d2 players hate playing the game, but gaming is supposed to be fun, this doesn’t sound fun to me lol).
this doesn’t give me hope for the future of the game, it’s pretty clear d2 is on the back burner as marathon is being worked on, and at this point i don’t even know if ill continue to play after heresy considering most friends who played the game still don’t even play anymore.
Nah man, this currently sucks, but remember when servers were off every other day? That was worse.
Nahhh its not worst. I rather not play than to see ads and barriers teleporting all over the map.
It’s sad seeing one of my favourite game come to this state ☹️
Was gonna watch through, game is definitely in a bad spot. But Paul tassi is beyond clueless. Man does stream number articles for Sony classics 😂
Its sad for everyone playing still, and to those who quit. Bungie does indeed need a restructure
It freezes your character from all actions until it determines you’ve moved the appropriate distance… aaaaaaand, “You’ve unlocked this subclass.” Haha
yeah that weird physics bug has happened to me a lot. Very annoying
It's not worth my time when stuff doesn't work correctly & you can't get drops
i think one thing to consider when talking about the loot reward systems in destiny, is which audience each system is designed for & how it feels for each audience to acquire that loot
- crafting, is very casual focused with little emphasis on replaying activities & is touted as a catchup mechanic (but what are we catching up to?)
- attunement, is more hardcore focused as it doesn't guarantee the weapon drop desired, resulting in higher hardcore engagement but less casual
- perk attunement, on exotic class items instantly spiked numbers for all players farming for them, meaning all players like having a degree of control over the rng perks
- double perks, is more hardcore focused as resolving vault space issues, as well as build issues is a HUGE plus for hardcore players
- focusing, is in between but without double perks via a rank reset, people can get hundreds of engrams deep & not get the reward, leading to a very pendulum like rng effect
- tokens, rewarded time but not skill, resulting in hardcore players feeling like their time was disrespected & casuals access to all weapons with very little skill investment
i personally think the solution for specifically seasonal content is as follows;
1. red borders should only obtainable via the weekly red border enhancement
this allows less hardcore players a catchup mechanic & hardcore players an extreme rng curb that allows them to at worst, get the weapon they want for the hundreds of hours of time put in
2. focusing should be the main source of gear acquirement
this allows hardcore players an avenue to exceed casual players whilst also siphoning casual players from their casual playstyle with a rewarding and fairer loot chase
3. double perks should appear on focused gear after resetting your seasonal rank once (or twice at the most)
this again allows hardcore players an avenue to exceed casual players but with a huge upside of build options, which often ends up hindering hardcore players vault spaces; resulting in a stronger & more time investing grind for each hardcore players very own "personal god roll"
this also allows casual players a way to effective "jump in" to any current season & allows their overall time investment in the season to mean more than just hoping for red borders
i think these would make for an entertaining seasonal content loop, especially when paired with whatever bungie cooks up for seasonal mechanics, like tonics, ketch crew, fishing, etc.
Bungies strategy for increasing players will inevitably be "what if charge 60+ dollars for the game everyone already has" ?
I stopped playing destiny at the end of the first episode and i'm so glad, i have 0 interest of playing and have even less interest as i read news and statements like this
It's not only the layoffs that you can feel, but also the upper management policy of artifically increasing playtime
I can't beleieve the perk bias issue wasnt fixed until 2 weeks ago, when we'd been complaining with very tangible evidence for years
The 5 second lag delay in crucible has been fun. Get a kill run away about 15 feet then get dragged to the inital fight to just randomly die lmao.
What, you expect money to be spent on QA instead of CEO's new cars and houses? They already said Bungie "is not that kind of a company."
Once Marathon gets released (I think it'll die off pretty quickly) Hopefully Bunige will put all their resoucres back into their only profitable game.
Marathon will never be released.
Pete Parsons will see bungie die before he steps down
This is a common problem in companies all over the place.
Yep the teleporting ads are the worst i've ever seen this season. It's definitely more noticeable and got worse recently
People talking about tonics not working properly and I’m over here like.. “yall can craft tonics”?
Haven’t been able to craft em on 2/3 characters all season
I'm happy I'm on an extended Destiny break currently but it's sad to see. Destiny was my go to game for years
Dont forget the new subclass unlocked prompt popping up and covering half the hud every hour or so.
