For $35, you gotta expect it. But I think it should arrive in perfect undamaged condition. I do like the moderate-slow action, which means it's very bendy. When it's bendy, it's easier to cast light and very light lures. The rod blank is what's used in 400 dollar Japanese rods, but it's the workmanship and materials that makes it 400 dollars.
Great budget info!!! Handing has a much better/affordable rod on amazon. The Magic L BFS rod. It's amazing for a 35$ rod. Beat it up over the weekend, and it's held up.
I got this rod long time ago and I'm one of the early reviewer of it on Amazon. I thought it was a fantastic little rod and I still use it for ultralight fishing. Fighting a decent size fish on it is fun.
I don't know why people recommend the Zephyr. It's more expensive than the Seasir cast x or the HICC50 and it isn't capable of casting 1/16.. even struggles with 1/8th. Those other reels are half the price and better. Another advantage is the dual spool you can get on the HICC50. Cheaper, better.. no upgrade in bearings even needed but definitely an option. But out of the box, better reel. My only complaint about the Soloking reel is the handle is really uncomfortable. But for under 5$ or max $15 you can replace. I'm more writing this comment for someone who's thinking of getting the Zephyr and hopefully save them wasting money, thinking it will cast super UL lures.
Hello my friend I like that ultra light bait caster combo it's nice I have a Abu Garcia Ike Dude "Never Give Up" Spinning Combo it's a light combo I love it I have to try out this amazing bait caster combo
To target fish with smaller lures and still get the casting distance with a bait casting reel. If you’re skilled enough, I supposed you can reel in a bigger fish
Rod doesn't matter as much when it comes to catching big fish. What matters is your hook, line, and reel. As long as those 3 holds up, you can land the big fish. I saw a video of a guy who caught a decent size tuna in the ocean with a barbie little fishing rod.
I happen to stumble upon your vid, and well; I went ahead and ordered the same Rosewood casting rod. I also have the Kastking Kestrel and Valiant Eagle 2 baitcast reels. Very good video you made there, job well done catching some bass.
Hey Axel! This is Kastking Finesse x13 Braid, in 6lb green moss. Straight braid has worked best for me but can still break and backlash from time to time. Most Finesse braid are similar I assume but I do have a discount code for Kastking products in my descriptions if you want to go that route
I hate eating fish unless it sushi and I hate seeing them when my parents cook them but if I travel to Canada I wanna try fishing and if I catch one just give them to random fishermen , or give it to my relatives when we camp be like “il have pretzels and marshmallows and u guys can have fish”
I'm a big fan of yours and Becca y. Who was Aka fishing with Becca you both are amazing people I always enjoy seeing your guys videos I left you a comment on Instagram the other day hopefully someday you both can see each other again and do a nother collaboration together and catch big bass together I would love to meet you are Becca someday 🫶🏼🎣👍🏼
I have been looking for a cheap ultra light rod to shoot boat slips with. I think I’m going to grab one of these. Great video man.
well done review... actually showing the product in use... (i just dont look favorably on reviews just from the kitchen table)...
Thank you!

Great to hear! I still use it and love it too
Great way to show people u dont need 350 dollar set ups to have fun fishing...
I mean the reel on its own is around 220 and the rod is 30 but I suppose it’s still under 350. The kast king zephyr would be a better budget reel.
Yeah..not like other youtubers

Great budget option. I tend to spend my money more on the reel than the rod. I have broken 3 rods and no reels, so that is the main consideration.
Very true! Most rods come from the same blank composite rods. It's the details that make them unique to each brand.
good video man. i might try this out in the spring
Just bought it excited to use in the creek!!!
Did you catch a Big bass up to between 2 -5 lbs bass and did the rod break
What is the purpose of an ultra light rod? Can u still reel in big fish?
To target fish with smaller lures and still get the casting distance with a bait casting reel.

They make bigger fish a lot more interesting when you bring them in

I have that hoodie! Isn’t it awesome! I use it for riding my motorcycle too lol I love it.

Rosewood is definitely under the radar

Sick review dude
Killa video brother!
Hey Ryan its Axel, we met fishing. Wanted to ask what kind of line setup are you using for this? Braid/Flouro, straight flouro, or what?

I got the decalicy for $32
Nice combo
It's 35 man, it's not gonna be 100% correct. As long as it catches fish and doesn't break 😂
A true 1rod1reel adventure
$46 now
Thanks for that update!
Nice 😊

Ultralight action? Ultralight is not an action. Seems like a medium action
ultralight is an action..
