I'm not sure if its related but, I have a 2021 F250 Platinum with 88k miles. It happened last year about this time when it got cold and my pickup wouldn't crank over after pushing the start button. I installed new batteries last December as the old ones were the originals and haven't had an issue until again this year in December when it got cold. It"s warmer now and pickup starts everytime with no issues.

Im having a similar problem with my 2015 F150. I read a thread on the internet, where it mentioned that pumping the break pedal 20 times before pushing the start button made it start. The problem in my case is that when I try to start it, the green led on the start/stop button blinks intermitently after I push it. So I tried pumping the brake pedal and it worked. Then I noticed that i could start the truck again without any problem if I tried starting it within 1 hour after parked again (when the engine has not cooled off completely). If I try to start it after 1 hour or more, I would have to do the pumping procedure again. Also noticed that it worked sometimes and sometimes it doesnt (it has happened to me 3 times in the last 2 dias) still I have managed to turn it on (luckily). Tomorrow I will take it to the dealership to check the problem out.

Funny enough, had an issue with my fuse box. But mine was different, it wouldn't turn off. I mean the cluster and everything else would turn off but the engine would just keep running. Right after I washed my truck, I saw my fuse box was uncovered. Ford just recently did some batteries for my truck and were looking to see it drained, tech didn't but the cover back on properly. Then that happened, I had to pull a fuse to get the truck to sputter and turn off. Got it in the dealer, told them what happened, told them the tech caused it, they replaced it the next day and just got it back. There is a TSB for it, 22-2443.

Sounds like a combination of a poor design and possibly a northern state road salt corrosion issue ... I’ve had to replace several fuse boxes in our fleet of GM trucks but usually it’s a free 8-12 yrs and 120,000 hard miles . That’s not an old truck it has a 10 speed and is a diesel , oldest it can be is a 2018 F150 diesel , unless it’s a 2020 superduty

It turns out that I took it to a sound shop to install an amplifier and a subwoofer and they connected the remote of the amplifier through the interior fuse box. So when the truck/engine was warm, it startef without a problem, but when it was cool it didnt start. So the solution is to change the interior fuse box.

@travispower2683 I'll check that out, I checked the small fuses for power and seeing if they're not blown. All of them were ok, batteries good, etc.
Everything still turns on like normal, no engine light, just doesn't crank/turn over. And sometimes we I try to crank it, it'll honk one time. Even remote start will fail and honk one time.

No miles on the odometer and the gauges for the coolant and a few others showed nothing and error codes for RSC traction control and said temp overheat. I also checked all the fuses when it actually would not start and all the fuses were good. That’s when I wiggled the large grey relay in the corner that is for the PCM and it popped out. See if that is it. If you are not getting the errors and no miles it might not be the PCM no power issue.

@@DanielJaegerFilms Hmm, I've been working on a 2008 truck and I'm not impressed with this change in the newer trucks. The SJB was in the cabin before, right side kick panel, and the BJB was located to the outside of the master cylinder. This looks neither convenient, serviceable, nor robust. The 2008 truck is a mild PITA to get to, but once you realize it's just 2 7mm screws, it comes right out. I'm gonna bet this SJB is connected to the CAN network and that is part of the reason for the redesign.

My 2015 -F150, with only 22K miles on it, is doing this! It should be a RECALL, it's an issue that is on going! If it did it in the desert and people suffer a DEATH.. then FORD would need to PAY UP!
They have these Problems that are built in, so they can make that Service & Parts MONEY! Pay $45,000.00 for a truck and it want even start at 22K miles. I should have kept my 1976 Ford Ranger.

@@DanielJaegerFilms I saw 10 gears on the cluster panel, so that makes this a 2020 MY? If so, definitely a defect in my book. I have a '17 F350 and I've already had enough recalls to deal with.

Or drive it like this until the wheels fall off :) either way it's a crappy design and should be recalled.

Easiest fix is to sell it and get a Chevy

Pretty bad for 31,000 miles but I'd say Fords are a lot less worse for electrical problems than GM trucks.

      Chevy's are worse!

@@TheCarCrazyGuy not true my chevy has been well maintained since new has 217k miles and runs just like the day it did off the showroom floor, unlike the ford that wouldnt even start at 30k in this video 🤷‍♂️

@@ryanravencaller Take a look at South Main Auto channel if you think Chevys are so reliable. Most of his stuff is him fixing electrical problems on GM trucks.
