Yea Ford did quite the number on these trucks. I have a 2008 F-450 and i had a guy come out to make me a met and the key works and the alarm/security disarmed. When you go to start it nothing would happen though. I went to the battery on the passenger side and unhooked the started connector behind the battery going towards the firewall and I made a jumper to clamp onto the lead and the other side I tapped to the positive battery post. No keys the truck started and I let it run for 30 min, turned it off and started it back using my key the locksmith had made. Go figure.
All you have to do is reconnect the the harness on steering coulomb it gets loose sometimes it’s on opposite side off the key under plastic you have to rip or remove plastic you will see harness check all connections
did u find out why it went into anti theft mode? i have mine stranded where no tow truck is willing to drive to bring it back home. unluckily i dont have a remote start
This happened with my work truck.. it's a freakin 2018 F-450 same thing ot would start with the factory remote start but wont start with the key nor let you shift into gear so because you have an aftermarket remote start system it at least let's you drive.. for me hell no we had it towed to the dealer and idk what ever happened to the truck lol

I’m willing to bet one or both of your batteries has gone bad. I mean the actual batteries under the hood, not the ones in the key. Mine did the same thing. Replaced both batteries and the problem never resurfaced.

No your key is not the problem!!
It's an electrical related issue!!
If it's not a bad key it's a bad fuse or relay..check relay 101 and 48
Chip went bad on the key bro..

This is happening now to me. Would it be the key fob not working also?
Imma go steal your truck now

mrsteel10213, The key fob reader is underneath the steering wheel. If that Unit goes bad the truck will not start.
mrsteel10213 In my case it was just disconnected
i did see your second video . im gonna buy that part and see if it gives . thanks for your response
mrsteel10213 Best of luck to you
Wow that’s fucked up thank god you knew little bit to get it going

I think it's body control module or fuse
Or it's can be igntion too
Change your battery on the fob.
Sometimes my truck will fail to crank until the 20th+ turn. It’s intermittent. This guy’s problem is it’s own flavor.
Hello...so we have a truck..has no start at all..the cluster doesnt even light up..is that the problem ypu had?
I have this problem now have you diagnosed the issue

This is a no crank video. Not a no start video.
Still didn’t start
De plane boss
And your car might have a car starter that's bypassing the ignition emobilizer
happens because you using aftermarket remote start buy the original remote start and program to the truck
Imma go steal your truck now
