I happen to have the same issue. I have replaced the starter on my truck three times since January 2023 and I do have the remote start that I will be disabling to prevent it from shorten it out once more thanks helped tremendously.
For ME it was as simple as replacing the Key/FOB with a FORD Factory Key ($160) I messed with this issue for the better part of 10 months. if you're already throwing parts at it, try this next/first cuz it legit worked for my truck!

After paying 300 for a tow truck bringing it to the mechanic and shutting off still after I left mechanic this video saved my life when I put the car in neutral and it cranked and started on my 1997 ford f150

Same problem with my 2009 f150 -but I don’t have a remote starter… There’s nothing on the internet about it either- It is stuck in my pasture now…my only vehicle…yay!🎉 Anyway-maybe someone else has the same problem… It all started with my rear assist system screaming bc there was weeds everywhere when my tailgate was down… Put it in park to pick up some limbs and went to turn it back on and it was locked in park and wouldn’t turn over… Always something!
On my 2010 Ford F150 mine would do that every once in awhile and mine had to do this the admin key luckily I have two keys and every once in awhile I have to use the other key to get it to start and then I can go back to the original key I don't have my key setup I only have two admin keys other than that it works just about every time so I keep my extra key hidden in my truck
Funny story I bought a 1 owner 100k TBSS for 4k had some crazy remote start and I was going thru the same issues as you all power but wouldn’t crank my initial thought was the security is not reading the key I ripped everything out still nothing asked around and 1 person out of 1000 said hey try the starter 🤦🏻♂️ I tapped the starter and boom! Fires rite up long story short 4k TBSS $130 starter big pay day!

Had similar issue today: 2015 all of a sudden wouldn't turn over, battery fine, about every 4 times attempting to crank it complains about not being in Park even though it is. Thinking neutral safety selector. Did get a "check vehicle charging system" error once or twice too, but battery tested fine and held up voltage when attempting to start, lights not dimmed at all.
I think the issue was with your parking switch. In the beginning I notice your red gear light wasn't lighting up your gears but in the subsequent follow up vid I notice the red gear light was highlighted on "P"
Currently dealing with this same issue except I'm getting a bad range selector switch code. Once I clear the code the truck starts just fine. Replacing the neutral safety switch tomorrow.
Ah hah! This could be my problem!!! I used the remote start to start the truck and it didn’t work and from there it would crank but no start. Checked fuel line and it is pumping fuel, so possibly no spark. Checked fuse #27 it’s OK, checked relay #7 and relay #8 all checked out fine. I will do the relocation anyway since a lot of people having problem with it.
My 2015 F150 super crew 3.5 litre won't start. Ford had it for 3 weeks. Cleaned contacts on the ECU. Worked great for a day. Now, all the warning lites come on and no radio, wipers etc. I leave the key in the on position for a minute and I hear a chime, and then the truck starts. No idea. I tried both keys and the same result. Also, when the truck won't start, I try the remote start and the horn will only beep once. Not twice. I'm at a loss. 41,000 miles! I think it's the ECU
A lot of these problems can be fixed by cleaning the ground connecting cables on these Fords or any vehicle as far as that goes,especially Fords,if you have bad grounds that can cause all kinds of crazy issues!
I’ve been having problems with my 2011 F150 as well a lot of electrical problems transmission having the wrench indicator show and when you reset it turn it off four times it works and have had problems where it won’t start I took the battery cable off let it sit for a minute put it back on then waited a few more minutes before trying to start it and then finally it started I think it’s a sensor problem when these vehicles have so many miles my 2011 F150 has 260,000 miles on it
I've seen other problems where cam sensor shorts out causing no voltage at TR sensor not allowing the vehicle to start because it doesn't think it's in park
My 30 amp fuse blows on Ignition. 2011 f150 Full power everywhere else Second time in a yr I had to change the fuse. Weird is it still the remote shorting out causing it to blow the fuse??
Similar situation. When I jump mine cranks. Battery and alternator are fine. I get full power and it try’s to turn over but won’t. Only the keyless starter will crank it sometimes with a little hesitation. Any ideas?
This is a fuse in the engine bay. I think it’s #24 or #42, it’s a 20 amp fuse. You will probably find that the fuse is burned up to a crisp. Mine was missing one entire leg.
For mine - 2004 Triton V8 - it doesn't happen in the morning or after it's sat for 2 hours or more. Only if I drive it, stop for a few minutes like the gas station or grocery store then try to start again after only sitting for 10 - 30 minutes.

Man!!!!! Only if I had a remote starter. Im having the same issue, but no remote start. Every once in a while the truck will actually show in 2nd gear when its in park instead of no gear selector light. Most of the time though, I have power but it wont start because its not showing what gear its in. So close to my issue! :(
Try fuse #27. It tends to melt and then crack. Depending on how bad, it may lose context. It’s a 20amp mini atc. I had the same issue, swapped fuse for new one and fired right up. Good luck.
I got a truck i looked at were someone installed a aftermarket stereo an when i got enough power to sysytem it would go to nuetral no problem, windows,lights, all fine, when you press or turn heating cooling knobs it turns stereo on. So im like ok , remove stereo an stereo fuse, an then put new starter, battery ,alternator on it should fire up. Thats my thoughts,. but im not 100 percent so any help be great, because when i tried to crank the person i had helping me said there were sparks coming from negative terminal on battery an i could here a weird sound when it tried to crank. but i know personal that they have that aftermarket im there an they messed it all up. i really feel thats it or im hoping anyways. well anyhelp be great

mine powers up and even clicks power when you try to start it, but doesn't actually crank the starter. You can turn it completely off and back on. (sometimes a couple of times) and then it will crank without issue. I'm perplexed.
My relay goes out and my gear indicator light won’t come on and I’ll know it’s not gonna start. I have the casing off my relay and I turn the switch on and start it from under the hood
@@The0n3 if it is not like what the guy says in the video. "It was his remote starter"... It had shorted everything out! if you put your key in the ignition and try to start it. And it will not crank or start and the anti theft light blinks constantly... It's the anti theft. If the anti theft light is NOT blinking it's the starter or the starter relay in the fuse box. There's 3 other possibilities... 1. The chip in the key is going bad. 2. The transceiver ring has went bad. 3. "Worst case scenario" the instrument cluster has gone bad
@@joelung9070 thanks Joe. My mechanic is saying the ECM is bad. his reasoning was he couldnt even start the vehicle by jumping the starting. also, a locksmith went and supposedly tested it as well. I'm considering just taking it into the dealer for a second opinion...
The aftermarket remote starter does not have ANYTHING to do with the PRNDL switch not working. On a 12 F150, the transmission valve body has a hall effect transmission range switch that sends pulses measured it Hertz to the PCM and the PCM sends a message via CAN computer network to the Instrument cluster to activate the various PRNDL lights. The PCM also allows the starter to engage based on the Transmission range switch. The alarm remover guy doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. He just ripped you off for $300.
So what can we do I have a 2013 got it drove fine come back park it for it to go to detail and it want do anything iv jump starter everything it has full power but it not showing what gear it is in

Here's another easy fix I did on 2015 F-150 that wouldn't start but had power. I smacked the starter with a hammer and it started !
Got plenty of people going with that. If that’s your symptom, get a new starter sooner than later.

Check the connectors to the internal fuse box in the passenger footwell. Make sure everything is seated properly. It gets loose.
another great product from ford.....next issue: sensor that monitors the sensors isn't sensing.

Is this just for aftermarket remote starts or could it also be stock remote starts
Another reason it won’t start is if you use a non-transponder key. A plain steel cut key won’t work.

I replaced the FOAB-14B192-aa in fuse box of 1999 ford f-150, controls the fuel pump. This did the trick. $25 part from advanced auto.
Does the 2010 f 150 platinum have a remote starter? I use the key only but having the same problem already checked fuses and jump the starter
A dealer installed remote starter would be the first thing disconnected in diag. I wonder if the problem came back later.

It ended up being the transmission range sensor inside the transmission.

It's the anti-theft device. You need to have to get keys to reset itor you have to call a locksmith and have one made for like $300
