My F-150 turned, dashboard came on but no starter at all. Took it in and turned out it was the key, I accidentally washed it and it went into some type of security mode. A new key was made and now it works.

Thank you for this tip. I have the same starting symptoms. My frustrating bs work-around was to continuously turn the key on and off repeatedly until it started. My friend just observed a severely frayed and expose wire in that same area as your blue jumper, except on the firewall side.

Thanks for showing me where the wiring harness is I have a couple other issues including that one and I think it’s all in that wiring harness ibsthose wires get bad overtime
Same thing happened to me years ago, Craig. 2011 Avenger, 40,000 km. (25K miles). Dealer had a special on, electronic rust control free and installed. During the installation they damaged a wire in the main harness, damned thing either wouldn't start half the time or shut off wherever the F I was and stay shut off. Dealer ended up going online to find a similar problem and fix. Never had another issue with it.
Double whammy because those electronic rust control modules don't work in the slightest.
This is it! If you can manually turn the started over with a power probe at the relay by powering up the grounded pin chances are you have this break in the harness! (Check relays of course but this is the final boss to defeat in this diag, on these frustrating trucks!
Another Problem for no start is the connector comes unplugged from a module behind the passenger side kick panel. The grey tab gets moved by hitting the panel with your feet.
Is that in the passenger door?
Passenger side panel remove floor strip side panel under glove box remove and fuses and harness, connector etc,. Located There.

Same year vehicle, wouldn't start but had power. Don't know which wire it was, but wiggled all the wiring around in the area indicated indicated and somehow the truck turned on. Now I'm going back home to figure out which wire it was

What were some of the test that lead the diag to this particular circuit/ wire?
I have the EXACT same issue. Sometimes my truck will not turn over. I just did the same thing and all my wires look good. Thanks for the video, but do you possibly have any other ideas? Its getting cold here in MN and i do not have a garage, I'm typing this with frozen hands.
What was the symptoms before wire cut off. Was is it bugging down? That you had to step on gas pedal? Mine won't start up neither.
Mine does the same it start some time and some times don’t whe she don’t want to start she make i little clocking song you can barely heard, then i move the harness in the fuse box and the clock sound stops and then start like nothing ,wonder if is the same problem

Was it an intermittent problem? I drive my 2011 on the weekends and it does this about 1/10. Full power, no click, no cranking. After a few tries it starts right up.

My mazda cx 9 has a 3.7 Ford engine. For some time now, the engine of the night stop has been turning on and off. It starts the second or third time. Then it starts normally. I cleaned the fuel mesh filter. Is it a faulty fuel pump? Forscan shows error p0171 - poor mixture of cylinders group one. What is going on? please help

I am having the same issue after swapping the 3.5 ecoboost engine... I started it 2 times and then finished putting the radiator/ coolant reserve tank in and now it won't kick over unless I manually jump it from the starter or relay butit still won't run I have looked in that part of the wiring harness after watching thos video but no luck...maybe I should check the connection at the plug ( do you know where this wire runs too )
Did you ever figure it out. I am in the exact same boat. Swapped engine and now nothing unless I jump the starter but it still won’t run.

Maybe you had rodents eat your wires. A mouse took out my air conditioner. The wires are apparently tasty and not protected.

Did you run into a black wire that seem to be bear from slightly past the connection back underneath the fire wall and dash board?

@@calimesacox I'm having the same problem , i got a wicked deal on a 2010 ford f 150 , but i can see why now i did !!! first i was having no communication with the dash cluster when i plugged the code reader into it so i ripped the dash cluster apart and re solder the plug in pins on the circuit board, also i pulled the computer apart and resoldered the plugin pins also , they look like they were loosing contact . right now i have communication with the dash cluster and i can get communication with the pcm, also i cleaned up all the grounds under the engine bay and add another ground to the engine to the fender fire wall. But i'm still having the issue with the anti theft light flashing!!!!! Did u ever fix your issue with your truck?
@@raide707 Yes. My truck ended up a bad fuse box. And remote. Got a new ford fuse box and two new remotes. Along with reprogramming
@@raide707 the problem you're talking about sounds like the connector that goes to the BCM is not plugged in all the way and in my video I address that

Issue: turns over, won't fire. After checking the starter fuse, check fuel pump sending module on cross member over rear axle, change it to new.
2009 2010 f150 does this. Last resort, fuel pump inside tank.
How in the hell does a wire there break??!! You said you have power but no start. You had no crank no start but never mentioned battery check which is the first thing you must do otherwise you won't find nothing but someone else will for you and $175 is a lot of dough. You walking around on your engine shorty?
If u have power, what's the point in checking the battery 🤯
