- update 5/19/22, saw owner at local convenient store like 2 weeks ago. despite having coolant leaks in truck,, he never mentioned the truck not starting as what it got towed to me originally for.
how would you have tackled this job?

I’ve been going nuts trying everything wiggling wires and harnesses, shifting to neutral and back to park then back to Neutral then back to park then back to neutral then back to park…. Like some nightmare where you try to run fast but but and you only run in heavy slow mo…. Short story shorter.. 5 seconds after you mention the seatbelt tensioner I realized I’ve had my belt clicked in for weeks to avoid the chime… 🙄 gonna do the steps to just disable it… TO FINISH THIS …. Right after Unbuckled it I cranked it and ……BAM FIRED RIGHT UP …

So a bad connection appeared to have caused the problem. When i looked at an f150 lightning - all i saw were connections everywhere. I live in the salt belt and this terrifies me! Great video working under the dash without profanity - cant do that!!!

No can test, because there wasn't a communication issue to the module itself.

@@8power0 gotcha... Yes i have old videos where I did some, one was a vw where I tested pcm, that one had gateway control module issues though. Suspecting defective pcm
It's just rare and mostly unnecessary. Mostly when you have good input signal and none/poor output there's either no power or defective units. Typically it don't have to get that far into testing. Module will typically be offline and can't communicate through scan tool. Or have minimal pid info from component, just depends on the CAN highway system.

It started 3am for me thanks to your I found out it was that same part but found it was the bottom right plug that was loose 4:35am I’m on tha road
Nice video... I think the connector might have somehow wiggled out a bit maybe on a hard hit on a bump and you seated it back correctly.

It's in the key fob. Open up the key fob. Reseat the key. Make sure it's a good connection. That's what signaling the Anti-Theft.

How do you reset the key
PATs unlimited key mode isn't starting data. That has to do with programming keys. Vehicle enable and start date are what you wanna look at.
