Sensitive key fob trunk button problem solved

    I fixed the problem...I took the key fob apart and cut the plastic button out and then I installed 2 pieces of velcro on each side of the strip that says trunk and now it makes no contact.....👍 Almost the same as yours except I cut the plastic button out so it never opens again. Thanks for the tip.

    2014 Impala. Permanently disabled FOB trunk button. Pried button off circuit board and glued it back on upside down so the rubber button on the fob still had something to press against. Over 10 times found trunk open. Had enough of that stupidity.

    Have the same problem with my wife’s toyota, and i am getting tied of getting yelled at…….because I carry the extra key fob……

    Just turn off the trunk switch by the glove box…. Open it up and switch is on the left.

    yes... yes.. KIA RIO.. same thing.. bad design
